My boyfriend bought some of yours books and I made a generic Viking cosplay with them. I did it fast and with cheap materials, but I was impressed how easy and helpful yours books are!!!! Thanks for sharing your work!!!
I LOVE your feather and definitely agree it was the way to go for the costume! However, just so you know (since you said you didn't want to use any animal products), felt is made from wool which comes from animals.
I am so glad that you stayed animal friendly cosplayer over the years. It makes me glad. I hope there would be more cosplayers like you who are not supporting animal cruelty.
a stencil from a playing card, why havent i thought of that? ...i tried to make stencils for some runes a few days ago but i gave up and just drew the runes right on the item using a sharpie, turned out well...:D
I made this cosplay for Hal-Con (in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) 2015. It was really fun and challenging. It's cool to see the differences and similarities in the way you're making yours. I wish I had an embroidery machine! I had to use fabric paint for my decals. Will you be making the Sphairai relic weapon too? Mine were very difficult and time consuming, but they came out amazing! I even won an award for them. :)
UUuuuuuhhh please send me some pictures over Facebook! I was searching for other Monk cosplayers but there are so few! :) Yes, I will also be making the weapons soon!
Who else also finds that the feather actually look quuuuiiiiite better then a normal feather would look? Cause real feather always look used after a convention, because so many, people touching or u run through the crowd and they just... yeah they look kinda dirty too. And I don't think this is going to happen to those felt ones :D
Yup! Thats what I meant :D Seems like i discovered a good alternative to real feathers for ma Odette Widowmaker Cosplay. Was already suffering with real feathers and thinking that this is gonna be so ennoying to have all those feather scatching my skin the whole day out :D Then i remembered that u once had done a felt feather tutorial ... and I was so happy you couldnt even imagine XD
Awesome video as usual! But I was wondering, I can't buy the LED books just yet :(, but is if possible to take apart the fabric in a jacket to add LEDs? Or should I just cover certain parts with similar looking fabric?
Jaiya Papaya for a Sombra Cosplay, u need those latex pipes that are very flexible. then u can paint them and glue them on to your jacket, I did a Sonbra cosplay too, it turned out great. For the backpiece u need to use EVA foam and there u can cut out a bit of material and drop some LEDs :D then seel it of with acrylics or transpa art painted and youre done. Instead of latex pipes u can also use LED strips covered eith transpa art and glue them on, or if youre dedicated like me: sew the transpa art on while its still hot an flexible :D i hope this was helpful ^^
What kind of glue did you use?? Thanks for this awesome tutorial btw, I'm struggling to find a feather for my Noir (P5) cosplay, anh thank god i bumped into your video!!Cant thank you moreee
Hi Svetlana! Nice and useful tutorial, as always :) Why don't you do a "draw my life" video? We would like to know more about your life and how you got into cosplay world to finally become a famous cosplayer
OOOHH I'm glad to discover there is more info in that blog entry than it could ever appear in a "draw my life video". I would have liked to see your drawings anyways haha
I do like how other people make feathers as i find it interesting and always looking for new ideas but i don't get why they always cut notches out....real feathers don't have parts missing...so i am not quite sure why people do this. If its to be accurate to the game or reference then great! but if not then there's no need for it and i simply do not understand
Wow! I don't need a giant feather for any of my cosplays, but suddenly I want one now! 😂 great video!!
Thanks :) I already do. I love their videos!
My boyfriend bought some of yours books and I made a generic Viking cosplay with them. I did it fast and with cheap materials, but I was impressed how easy and helpful yours books are!!!! Thanks for sharing your work!!!

I was already happy with the amazing video, but CORGI!
I LOVE your feather and definitely agree it was the way to go for the costume! However, just so you know (since you said you didn't want to use any animal products), felt is made from wool which comes from animals.
+Wild Beast Our crafting felt is actually 100% polyester! :)
I am so glad that you stayed animal friendly cosplayer over the years. It makes me glad. I hope there would be more cosplayers like you who are not supporting animal cruelty.

I've only just discovered you, you and your dog are so cute! Can you make the nightingale armor?
Very clumsy and awkward even at desk, most likely only on film or when someone is watching. I like this youtuber.
This woman is fantastic.
I really love how active have you been on RUclips lately. Big fan here
+Dimas Veluz Tan Thank you! We love making videos when we have time! Sadly we do not often have time, haha!

thank you so much for this tutorial
+Hele Hatter ❤️
Is there an alternate way to paint if you dont have an airbrush?
Thanks for the tutorial, Svetlana! Just one question here; is Zelda THE cutest corgi, or is she the CUTEST corgi?
That's actually Midna, her sister! :) Zelda was sleeping when we filmed this! Haha!
KamuiCosplay oh gosh! Looking at the size of her I swore it was Zelda 😖
+John Casey Muhahaha!
Who else also finds that the feather actually look quuuuiiiiite better then a normal feather would look? Cause real feather always look used after a convention, because so many, people touching or u run through the crowd and they just... yeah they look kinda dirty too. And I don't think this is going to happen to those felt ones :D
Nah those are pretty indestructible. :)
KamuiCosplay the real ones? or the felt ones?
The felt ones. I can have my dogs chew on them and they still look good after :)
KamuiCosplay was also worried that I'd look like a shredded chicken throughout the day with that costume :D
i have a question is there an another way to paint the felt feather?awesome video -tutorial btw :3
+Mat Kalio If you don't have an airbrush you can also just use markers to paint them. It takes a lot longer though!
You are the only cosplayer I like because you aren't overly obnoxious as most people smh
Probably because I don't even know what obnoixcus means!
Plus, the wire looks like the shaft of a feather!
You can buy synthetic feathers.
Could you do the lvl 60 white mage dress? It would be so cute!!
+Sakura さくら I know right! I definitely think there will be more FF cosplays in the future!
Serioously, i vote for allowing the corgi's to dominate the world.
Awesome video as usual!
But I was wondering, I can't buy the LED books just yet :(, but is if possible to take apart the fabric in a jacket to add LEDs? Or should I just cover certain parts with similar looking fabric?
+Jaiya Papaya Hmm I would have to look at the jacket. Is the fabric translucent?
KamuiCosplay No, its purple faux leather. It's relatively dark too.
KamuiCosplay i guess shes gonna do a Sombra cosplay
Jaiya Papaya for a Sombra Cosplay, u need those latex pipes that are very flexible. then u can paint them and glue them on to your jacket, I did a Sonbra cosplay too, it turned out great. Yen Exklusiv Ok, thank you so much for this!

+Akuki_CP Right, thanks for helping out!
What kind of glue did you use?? Thanks for this awesome tutorial btw, I'm struggling to find a feather for my Noir (P5) cosplay, anh thank god i bumped into your video!!Cant thank you moreee
I used contact glue for this!
*You know how to make articulateed wings??*
Haven't made full wings yet, so sadly no.
Also make Sombra costume
You all ready made the gun 😄
Nice! :D
what gauge wire did you use?
I think it was a 1mm or 2mm thick aluminum wire.
is it a wig you are wearing? your hair looks great! and everything else of course
+anjuchan7 Yes, that's my Monk wig! :)
What brand wigs do you buy and where? i find it always so hard to get something good. Yours always are perfect!
Hi Svetlana! Nice and useful tutorial, as always :)
Why don't you do a "draw my life" video? We would like to know more about your life and how you got into cosplay world to finally become a famous cosplayer
I'm not that good at drawing, haha! You can read all that about me in my blog though! :)
OOOHH I'm glad to discover there is more info in that blog entry than it could ever appear in a "draw my life video". I would have liked to see your drawings anyways haha

+Gefreiter Nudelsuppe Ich mache ja zum Glück auch keine Tonne Federn, sondern nur zwei. :)
¿Can you do the Mei's weapon, please? (Overwatch)
kiddo has just said have you considered turning your doggie into a carbuncle?? lots of love from the Fat Chocobo :)
But she already looks a lot like a Carbuncle! ;) I will probably not spray paint her green, haha!
You do know you can buy faux feathers right?
But I want them exactly in the color I need them and be able to bend them as well :)
KamuiCosplay ahh good point 🤔
PUPPER DOING A FALL
+Harley Carbery GOT THE PUPPER IN TIME!
/salute
do a face hugger
Tip: you can buy Faux feathers
Yeah but this is useful if you need really specific feathers that you can't buy anywhere :)
