Thanks TRQ for a well-paced and easy to follow process - here in South Australia I’ve just bought my tenth Subaru being a 2006 Forester Automatic - the labour costs are outrageous now so I will do my own basic servicing from now on thanks to RUclips.

Hey there. Thank you for a such a clear and methodical instruction, and for explaining the subtleties of oil level. This is such a useful video. Thank you again from Canberra.
A question if you don't mind - should we change the oil cold or warm? I believe that my 5W-30 oil is more viscous/thicker at higher temperature, so I think changing oil cold makes more sense. What's your take? Thanks in anticipation.😀

The oil recommended on the cap is not appropriate for many climates, number of miles, etc.
