Lukas Nelson sings “Just Outside of Austin” 6/21/24

The first stop of The Outlaw Festival was supposed to end with Willie Nelson. Due to illness his son, Lukas Nelson, performed. He sang several of his own hits including “Just Outside of Austin “. Friday, 6/21/24, in Alpharetta, GA.

I am a huge Willie AND Lukas Nelson fan. Would have been great to see Willie but at this point in their careers, Lukas is by far the better act to see. Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks showed up, too!

If Lukas didn’t come to my hometown like 4 times a year, I’d say maybe it was worth keeping the ticket. But I couldn’t justify me keeping a $250 ticket when I mostly got it to see willie… love Lukas, but he’s not willie. Both are great though.

You made a mistake. Lukas is every bit as good a musician & songwriter as his dad… and he’s easy on the eyes.
