Respected sir, I got obc non creamy layer certificate last month. My parents (govt servents )salary more than 8k .we don't have any other source of income, the vao,ri,head quarters officer & zonal officer -they don't know about the non creamy layer procedure ,they still lagging in that 8k salary annual income old procedure, they were not updated. But now all the certificates are online in a clear format. The dhasildhar officers cannot able to select a person to be creamy or non creamy layer, because the online mode is automatic. Sir my daughter has counseling tomorrow, we belong to OBC but due to the confusion in annual income we gave as GEN category. All seats are filled in open category. Seats are available in OBC non creamy layer. After watching your I came to know that we belong to OBC non creamy layer.

You clarified that salary will not be taken for calculation of income. But there is one more wealth test. If the parents have wealth above the exemption limits prescribed in the Wealth Tax Act for a period of three consecutive years, the childrens will not be eligible. The wealth Act, though abolished in 2016, prescribes wealth exemption of 30 lakhs rupees. Do the Revenue Department reject the OBC Noncreamy layer eligibility on this ground?
