Your allotment is a joy to behold! I live in the USA and have a good sized garden in northern Virginia near the Shenandoah National Park. I am so glad I found this channel, gardening is a passion for me too. Thank you for all the great advice!
The gardens I saw from others looked contrived . . . planned. Your garden looks like a garden for fairies. A potpourri of flowers and edibles growing collectively. The ornaments create the illusion of a fantasy forest. Love it!
Lovely to see you in your amazing allotment... Very productive for this time of the year... A lot of blooms, a lot of colors... Enjoy spring!... Stay safe...
I have followed you from the beginning and I still thoroughly enjoy every tour, every project. It's just such a cozy and beautiful allotment. Thank you for sharing, a friend in New Mexico.
My lemon 🍋 lost the leaves as well when I overwintered it in the house. Now I try to keep it out as long as possible and when the temperatures go below -3 C I take the plant in. Quite a hassle but it worked.
Growing Pink Fir Apple potato's in pots for the first time this year as i don't have my allotment any more. Give them a try one day because they taste so good. they are what i call a small salad potato, cook them with skins on and lots of butter, yum yum. Keep well and stay safe.
So lovely as always Katrina :) We haven't had rain for weeks either (East Sussex) 'till today. I was sitting outside this morning in the SunLight, came in and then there was an almighty crash of thunder, swiftly followed by huge hail stones, which eventually turned to heavy rain :) Me and my garden are happy & smiling :)
I have tried using pheromones traps for the Japanese beetle - it ended up collecting ALL of the Japanese beetles in the neighbourhood. I have been having dormant spray applied to the apple trees and the dwarf white pine. What a happy surprise about the dahlias - hope all of your Wizard of Oz have survived & put on a fabulous show.
As an Ag. Student of many years ago, your growing potatoes in pots, was the most informative ever, I know it works but you quantified everything you need to know. Very, very well done, thank you. Edwin
that apple tree... OMG it's beautiful! I'm very happy for your guys, in the UK. I know it's windy but the weather is much better! Tks for another amazing video! oh, and I loved your participation on Gardeners’ World, congrats!
So glad for the rhubarb advice! Mine is flowering and I’ve never seen that happen before. Spent most of the week wondering what I should do ... let it or cut them off and here on Saturday morning is my answer as I get ready to spend the day in the garden. Thanks 🙏
Regarding the Blue Tits not returning your nest box, the same happened with mine, maybe they dont use the same location each year but last year was the first time i ever had them nesting in my nest boxes, it was good to watch them come and go, really good times.
Love springtime! Your allotment is really looking great. That sticky weed or cleavers is actually edible although the texture isn’t great. The Handmade Apothecary book gives some great recipes for wild foraged plants
Katrina, everything is looking so good, can’t wait to see your tulips open up.Here in Canada I’m just starting to do a few seed, there will be no planting out until the end a May. It’s suppose to drop down to 1 Celsius tonight. You have come so far with your allotment, you should feel very proud of all your hard work. I’m impressed and wishing you a fantastic year. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
138 views under ten mins. you are doing something wright. I think it's called soul and a zest for life. may the flower gods continue to blow the winds in your sails...
Hi Katrina! I am enjoyed this videoclip about your Homegrown garden. I follow you severial times via the you tube videoclips about your interesting garden information. Thanks! Greetings from Pieter Smit from the Netherlands.
Your allotment is looking great, you have really got on top of the weeding and clearing. Your lemon tree just like my two. The year before I put them in the greenhouse and they kept their leave on, but this year they are both bear of leaves.
April showers? What are those? 😉 Thank you for another lovely video. I'm very much focused on growing vegetables in my garden at the moment, but I keep coming back to you for inspiration on flowers, since I'm slowly adding more "just for beauty".
Every thing is so lovely ! I wish I had your weather now it's getting hot here in arizona , our high today is 98 it's time to turn on my air conditioner,
The apple tree looks nice. I have a couple of potted apple trees I'm trying to train into an espalier form. one of my ones 'Christmas Pippin' is really fully of blossom, I think the colder spring has made the flowers come out more or less all at once rather than in several waves. I have quite a few Dahlias as well. I've got a tray full that started from seed.
Chilean Guavas are delicious. I will love to have one too (sold out in the RHS shop). There are many delicious recipes with them. You can have a look as a Murtilla or Murta as a Chilean native name. Good luck with it 👍
Could you please include dividing the banana in a video, Only just purchased one so would be handy to see . 😊 loving the amount of dahlias and can’t wait to see them .
🙏Love from India 🙏 learning lots of thing from you 👏 keep sharing your views 👏
