- Natural Bridges State Beach & Monarch Migration in Santa Cruz, CA
When researching what to do during my recent visit in/around Santa Cruz California, I was so excited to learn the monarch butterflies start their migration back to California in mid-October. Monarch butterflies overwinter in California and they make the eucalyptus grove in Natural Bridges State Beach their winter home!
Natural Bridges State Beach is located at 2531 W Cliff Dr, Santa Cruz, CA 95060.

That is so cool that you got to see the monarch butterflies after all. It was fascinating to learn a bit about them and their migration patterns. Natural Bridges State Park looks like a great park. Thanks for sharing this interesting phenomenon with us!
I really enjoyed learning all about this!! Nature is so fascinating!!
Neat trip and very interesting Monarch fun facts!
Thank you-I had no idea about this migration!!
Really cool that were were able to see the butterflies. I find that multi-generation migration fascinating. That coast area looks amazing too. We will have to add this to our list.
This area has endless things to do!!!
I just saw an article about this and found your video. Thanks for making the video!
Great timing! I really enjoyed learning about this!
Thanks for sharing. We normally avoid California like the plague so without you video there is a darn good chance we would never see that area.
😂😂😂 it’s a love/hate relationship with me
Heading there today... I've been many times just never at the right time. Thanks for this great video
Excellent!! I’ll bet the butterflies are so much better now!!
like 20 Very cool thank you so much for sharing ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Thanks so much for watching!!
Nice area to visit. Thank you for sharing 👍
Thanks so much for watching!
Beautiful place
Thank you Naomi!
Very cool to check them out. 👍
Thanks! I really enjoyed it too!!
I can't imagine being there at max occupancy during the migration. But I would never want to be a butterfly. Too much flapping to go back and forth! (That and I'm allergic to eucalyptus 🤣🤣)
Oh no! Allergic to Eucalyptus!! This is not the place for you!! 😂 I would love to go back later in the season on a sunny day! 🦋
