My prayer to God about His Church growing is I wish we could change our name. Example: LCMS According to God’s Word, there is only one Church. Instead LCMS (Lutheran Christians of Missouri Synod)? We have bought hundreds of new believers into our Synod & School, and yet, many leave our church because we are determined to follow Lutheran doctrine over God’s word. “I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” 2 Corinthians 11:2-4 NIV Where do you see added Lutheran doctrine or Lutheran confessions or the BOC in the gospel of Christ? And yet, many Christians leave our church, because Jesus’s Word does not tell us to follow Luther or his friends. You (LCMS) Forced our children to memorize what Luther said. Example: our daughter had to memorize Luther~ from Creation What does this mean: “He gives me clothing and shoes, food and drink, house and home, ‘wife’ and children, land animals, and all I have…” Creation: Why not teach God’s word? “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”” Genesis 1:27-28 NIV I could give more issues but, I doubt you are listening. Our Christian faith according to Jesus is to go share the cross of Christ. The LCMS mission is to protect Luther’s doctrine. If Lutheran doctrine is faithful to Christ’s Word/Church/Kingdom…?
