I was having a lot of issues setting up my RX, TX and configuration in BF. If only I had found this video sooner. Thanks for creating this video. Keep the great content coming.
Love this video. I have been trying to get Fport to work since i started flying quads 6 months ago. I gave up because i knew something was missing and no one told me step by step. This video cured my issue. Thank you Thank you Thank you. I have subscribed and liked. I look forward to more from you please keep up the good video instructions for the new guys like me.
Thanks for sharing, Ive actually been doing this for using Lua scripts for a while now. Having the additional option lua scripts for adjusting pids and vtx from the transmitter without betaflight or booting up goggles is awasome!
So detailed! Thank you this is good stuff to know and many should learn this. This is all I know! all my set ups use X-Lite & R-XSR F-Port no access version. Never had range or fail safe issue. Also can't say that any rx died yet so very solid. I also like that the xlite can audio call out voltage. I know I have option to upgrade to DJI controller but just happy with what I have. When this Xlite gets worn out I purchase this same model new.
I like how you listed the compatible receivers, which I couldn't find anywhere in the FrSky documentation, or the piece of paper they call an Owners Manual, so thanks.
Hi, sorry Im posting my question on this video because I cant find the video where you talk about powering a HV vtx off of a 10 or 12 volt regulator. Im in a situation where I can power my vtx directly from the battery leads or there is a 12v regulator( G3 FC hobbywing). I need your advice , 12v or battery?? The vtx is a Unify pro HV. Thanks bro. Peace
That was a semi truck load of work!!! Any chance you'll consider to post how to get rid of that problem that the taranis have when there is lost signal that don't allow the aircraft to be armed again in mid air??? I did lost an aircraft that way!! ever since I just use the most basic EzUhf transmitter module and nano receivers...
Thx for the video. The parts for my first non-rtf quad are on the way and I completely forgot lua-script was a thing. That's perfect timing. I have a question tho.. My F4 FC has both a regular uninverted RX-pad and also a dedicated SBUS-pad (invertedRX). Can I skip the ridiculously tiny solder job on the r-xsr and connect the "regular" SBUS signal that comes from the r-xsr to the dedicated SBUS pad on the F4 FC?
Thank you!! so interesting video. I have one question: Is it possible to connect the rxsr f-port pad to an f4 sbus pad? I think that the sbus pad will be inverted, will it work?. And can I use softserial to connect the f-port pad to any f4 tx pad remapping the resources? I'm unable to solder that tiny uninverted pad on the receiver...
You cannot the use SBUS pad as this pad is an inverted RX pad it receives data from the receiver you need to use a unused TX pad as detailed in the video.
My first radio was a Futaba, which worked even if you didn't know what channel you were using. Power ON, good to go... oscillating crystals seem archaic today. How did it get so incredibly complicated?
Nice to know: If you update your internal module it is not backward compatibele. That means update all your frsky receivers. Other receivers like build in third party receivers (read micro quad) aren't usable anymore. Thanks FrSKY!
@@DroneMesh FYI, updates to rec'rs can be done with the Jumper T16 Pro by downloading the firmware , placing it on the Jumper SD card, then, plugging the rec'r (wires properly oriented) to the Jumper module bay pins and flash 'to external'. Your reply to me was obviously 'off the cuff' and didn't help anyone using a Jumper. I learned this from TMac and JB.
Question for you I just updated my X9D+ (older version) to opexTX 2.3.7 and for some reason I can't bind any of my receivers, ive tried multi RXSRs and nothing works
Definitely great content, very clear and useful mate. I have just one question, do you know if the configuration serialrx_halfduplex = ON and serialrx_inverted = ON can influence how the GPS must be connected to FC ? I have 2 kopis totally identical, the only difference is that in one I decided to use FPORT, all works perfectly but when I tried to install a GPS (bn-220) in both quad, same cabling same configuration in betaflight, in the quad with FPORT doesn't work. Do I have to invert TX, RX due to the serialrx_inverted configuration ? Hope my question is clear enough, I like FPORT but I want a GPS on my quad as well. thanks in advance
It shouldn't unless your using the wrong TX which is also being used for GPS as far as I believe. THE cli Command SerialRX will only apply to the enabled serial RX port in the ports tab. Try changing the TX pad for Fport. Also what are you running F4 or F7

Man I've been trying to get f.port on the r9 system to work for a whole week now and after watching your video I finally got it thanks man 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

I always forgot these F4 and F7 thing for F.port. your video is straight forward and perfect!!! subbed!

That's great.. Thanks for the sub and like
I just soldered in an xm+ on a long range quad out of frustration with the R9mm. Thank you for this video.
Nice production on this episode, content as usual is most accurate technical and accurate.
Best informative video covering this subject I've seen. Thanks

Thanks a lot. Now Im able to run F.port in my Transtec bettle HD using a FRSKY R9MM OTA rx. works like a champ.
Excellent instructional video. Really appreciate the way you walk it through, step by step. Thanks for sharing.

I learned a lot from this video. Thanks for explaining in simple terms. Excellent!
Thank you for this video... I hope in a few days to receive my x9d se 2019 and r9m. I will follow your steps to set it properly.. Very helpful!!

Hi how are you?
Please let me know if possible where I can decrease the "refresh" time of telemetry in frsky taranis x9 lite?
Can you please do a video on how to get the battcheck widgets working (t16), think it needs lua script, but can't find the info anywhere.

Do I set up my throttle in Taranis x9d plus or in inav?
Subbing because this video was so detailed and easy to follow. Massive help. Thank you !

If you have inverted Sport pad not sbus then yes you can just connect it normal wire comming from the RX to FC
Awesome video thanks... finally I was able to get my first successful bind.

I've got registration, bound, telemetry, but can't get anything to show from transmitter signal and no response to inputs... 🤷🏻♂️

They sell all their devices with free xjt module now to fix that issue they really want to push their latency and technology forward.
So I can’t use F.Port on my Accst Transmitter ?
I can't find a servo connection on my Jumper T16 Pro? How would one update the rec'r firmware using this Xmitter?
Jumper is not compatible and is using much older software.

@@DroneMesh no United States, I acctuly found it out, I had to update the internal XJI with v2.1

Merci beaucoup 👏👏👏
cli commands to copy and paste? link to frsky website for downloads?
Just added them thanks for the heads up.
What makes Lua script better than using smart audio in my goggles to adjust pids, etc.?
Check the demo at the end of the video
If using an F3 flight controller you need to enter the same CLI commands as for the F7 flight controller.
Awesome, very useful content.
How to analyze 2.4ghz frequency?
I would like to add for ACCST don't use 2.0 above use history firmware
I did this and i cannot bind :(
Nice video👍👏👏
Great video thank u.
Thank You!
Great work thks
thx
I’m done with FRSKY. This is their innovation?! They need to focus on better business practices. Don’t buy their crap!!
When I saw the title, I was like, "Who the hell still uses FPort?"
