Having worked in plastic molding for many years you are correct that is the mold shifting. But a lot of people don't understand that companies tend to produce thousands of parts at a time and this usually starts later in production or from the mold not being cleaned properly when finished. But overall they still look good and yes they do look like hobbits.😅😂
Thanks for the question. It depends on what you have for reference. They are not as bendy as old reaper or toy soldiers, which we will give a score of one out of ten. Hard plastic like frostgrave minis are like 9/10. These are like 4/10, weapons are alittle bendy but actual figures are not.
@@welshminiatureboardgamer356 I used denatured 95° alcohol (I don't really know how to translate "Alcool ménager à 95°" I guess alcohol fuel would be the closest one) ,which was like mostly ethanol, when I removed the paint of some plastic minis I used as training dummies. A night soaking in it and they weren't worse for wear even with some elbow grease with a toothbrush.
@@Blood_M4ster Wow ok not really sure what that is but it sounds like an 80s metal band. Denatures 95. Will have a go with some rubbing alcohol and see if they end up looking like the melted guy from the OG Robocop!

Thanks for that information its good to hear first hand about the process. Hey I can live with war hobbits!
@@welshminiatureboardgamer356 me too I plan on stopping by my local store and getting the package, hobbits and gnomes are hard to find.
The sculpts on the Wizkids minis are fine, but they cake so much primer on it's best to strip them and re prime.
Thanks for that will have to give it a go next time, if I feel brave enough.
How rigid/bendy is the plastic on those?
I don't mind plastic, but I don't like the rubbery/bendy stuff.

@@welshminiatureboardgamer356 OK... sounds too bendy for my tastes. Thanks
Sculpts look good but id strip them and reprime
Thanks. what would you use for stripping these plastics? I would use iso for metal but not sure what to use on these lighter plastics.

@@welshminiatureboardgamer356 Looking it over it seems methylated spirits to the proper translation for what I used. Rubbing alcohol might work.
@@Blood_M4ster Ah ok that I can get lol. Thanks again
