"bring me alchemical ingredients" ... "i said alchemical ingredients" "i thought you said italian astronomer" "why the fuck would i say italian astronomer?"
I played as a Slavic merchant who was pushed off a boat by a monster. He fought for every breath as the beast dragged him underwater, while draining the life out of him. Merchants found him and brought the body to his hometown. To the surprise of the inhabitants, his body did not rot during the journey, so they considered it a miracle of God. They left his body in the church and considered him a saint, because of how pious he was during his life. He woke up next to a familiar priest who was praying alone over his body. The same priest once criticized him for carrying a dagger, because it means that one day he will use it and sin. However, it was not the blade but his own fangs that knocked him from the path of holiness. The former mentor became the first victim. ... It was fun. I recognize a few prompts from the video and I like how completely different events resulted from them.
I freaking love role-playing games because they provide the scaffolding for such beautiful and creative stories to be told. So glad there are some that can be played solo, because I don't have a lot of friends who are interested in stuff like this. I'm buying my copy of thousand year vampire right away!
Don’t know why I didn’t think till now to look for others’ play through experiences. This is such a beautiful game for anyone into ttrpg or enjoys writing and I loved your vampire’s story. Also couldn’t help but laugh as mine took on the name of Ambrose as well- lol.
I just bought TYOV and read through the rules, then searched for actual play and the first one I found is this… as a World of Darkness/Vampire/horror rpg lover now I can’t wait for the weekend to start playing/writing. Great example and awesome story.
Absolutely brilliant! Tim Denee owes you a commission as I hope to find and buy this game. Dave, your channel has great variety. I appreciate your production values. Keep up the great work.

I love how his accent changes over time as his memories sift through time
I love how the accent subtly shifts throughout the ages. Very well done!
I love how you finally got to the truth of what happened to Roanoke. I always knew it was a Dane vampire fleeing a mob.
Facts.
