Lux reminding me visually of Lurch, lol. I remember reading Vincent Gallo (the film director) talking about going to Lux and Ivy's for dinner, and Linda and Johnny Ramone were there. He said "it was like the Munsters meets the Adams Family"!
Lux & Ivy, clearly more intelligent than they were credited for, especially by the people calling for their art to be censored. - Those people who take things so literally, unable &/or willing to read subtext & humour, the irony being that The Cramps were the least bigoted, the anti-bigoted out of the arguing camps. The Cramps, a truly Class act.
Lucky to have seen The Cramps 10+ times. Several of those were the infamous San Francisco Halloween shows. Such good times and I’m so grateful. I didn’t realize the significance back then. I hit Costco today and the elderly lady that checked my receipt on the way out commented on my Cramps logo shirt, saying, “Oh my! What a cute shirt!” I’m still super confused. Ha.
From a California where the most Beach boy gets roped in to an almost recording contract with rock'n'roll cult leader ,Charles Manson . Luckily instead of Susan Atkins we got Poison Ivy and Lyxn interiors

I love their philosophy. They were just out to play fun music. Some people got it and some people didn't. And they didn't care either way.

Lord, 1990 was so long ago. It was like being stuck in the 1980’s
when Mtv still had music programs......
I never imagined that MTV would become so irrelevant to everyone including people who like music, I really do not know anyone who watches it at all.
RIP Luxe, one of the greats
Saw them play the Barrowlands twice. Unforgettable. RIP Lux.

How is Scotland?
I'm glad you found and enjoyed this video. All's good here in Scotland, apart from the rain, it's supposed to be summer yet it is pouring with rain 🤣
@@ScottishTeeVeecan’t wait to visit Scotland again.
Cramps had humor but " tongue in cheek" implies a joke or that they were NOT serious. But they lived that music. So, watch your😮.
'Lux Interior' was from a car commercial right? Was that short for luxurious interior?
acid house or calypso or cha cha cha
“Sex and horror”. Makes one wonder what went on in their house
As far as I have heard from a few people who knew them, they were a really nice couple, .
