@@snakeeyes5638to each their own I rather enjoyed the arc. When Magneto realized he could never been Charles Xavier and killed Zaladane was great story telling
@@snakeeyes5638Really? It wasn’t one of my favorite arcs, but certainly one of the most memorable. I don’t remember anyone hating it. It was just awesome to get some Sinister. Plus even as a kid I couldn’t get over Sauron, literally naming himself that because he loved LotRs lol.
My favorites are Rogue, Wolverine and Storm. I'm so happy they gave her the mohawk- my favorite of her hairstyles. Nightcrawler and Shadowcat are awesome too. And Blink! lol
Omega level mutants aren't necessarily the most powerful. It simply means that their abilities have the potential to grow with no maximum limit. Forge is the most powerful technopath on Earth, but his powers have reached their maximum level, so he doesn't count as an Omega mutant. His technological accomplishments have also been surpassed by the likes of Tony Stark, who is a genius inventor despite having no super powers.
I feel like the name Omega Level has lost some meaning over time. Originally it meant high power levels, but mainly the ability to reconstitute yourself if killed, without help.
heh, try writing a team book where Storm & Magneto are members & not holding back...a common trope to remove. sideline or depower uber characters in such cases. Magneto in the comics when he did this arc became absurdly notable as a bit of a jobber, the polar opposite of how he is when he's an antagonist (ie nigh invincible, smart, relentless, supremely confident & charismatic) the show runs at warp speed, and avoids this. it's great
A minor correction @ 21:00 . It wasn't an earthquake that killed Storm's parents. Her family moved to Cairo, Egypt during the Suez conflict. Her parents were killed when a plane crashed into their home. In the current comics, she's not really claustrophobic anymore, but she's still uncomfortable in small spaces. By the way, Storm is, and will always be, my favorite!
Even though this episode wheels VERY fast, this one delivers on point; I wish the other episodes were written w/ this thoughtful pacing, but most of them are crazy packed and move from one thing to another so fast
The X-Men have a huge history. When us comic fans say "the movies are bad" it's not necessarily that they are bad films (some are), but that they stray so far from the source that they're not enjoyable to us. They're bad adaptations of great stories that were told in the comics. But this show totally gets it right, even though it's not a page-by-page adaptation. It still hits the right beats and has enough emotional investment from the fans to make it feel as great as the comics, even when it's different in some parts.
Actually, Magneto could touch Rogue in the comics, and they did have a brief romance long before Joseph showed up. Their relationship in the show is based on their time together in the 1991 story arcs. The explanation for how they could touch was different than it is in the cartoon, as Rogue was either temporarily depowered, or she would steal Polaris' magnetic powers. This allowed her and Magneto to cancel each others powers out, which somehow also deactvated her absorbtion ability.
@@Rocket1377 yes but that was because they were in the savage land where their powers didn't work so that doesn't count and age of apocalypse was an alternate earth so again doesn't count lol Joseph was the one that could negate rogue's powers in the regular universe

Rogue and Magneto first hooked up back in the Savageland.......that story arc is over 30 years old. God I'm old. lol
And everyone hated it

I went into this as a Rogue/Remy fan, but the show converted me into a Rogue/Magneto fan as well. I'm so conflicted lol
Psylocke is mine favorite marvel superheroes & X-Men character ever in my heart💙
Why does Morph has a gun at the opening?
Well, he's American.
His original Toybiz action figure came with a gun, so perhaps it's an homage to that.
Literally like 7/8ths of the countries in the world own FAR more guns per household than Americans. Damn that joke is tired 🙄🤦🏻
"They're"
