I had unscrewed the screws of my neptune 4 plus device and this video was very helpful when I was putting it back together, it was useful for me to indicate the location of the big and small screws.

Thanks for sharing the EMMC installment video.
Regarding the ELEGOO NEPTUNE 4 PRO :
The processus is quite the same, a bit easier :
    - there are are only 5 screws, and they have the same length.
    - the cable of the fan to the printer is quite long enough. You don’t need to disconnect and reconnect the cable.
    Same motherboard, same EMMC .

    nice video.
I got a larger emmc ( it doesn't need to be a mks emmc as long as it has the same connector youre good to go the screw holes also don't matter )
I wanted to keep my settings so made a copy with win32diskimager.
Then you will have the same settings you already had only problem is it wil be the same size as the 8gb you had .
if you want to get the full size of your new emmc you need to donwload gparted after you did that make a bootable usb with that using Rufus.
when you did that restart your pc with the emmc still conected to the pc and the new bootable usb.
When gnome is loaded go to the emmc and extend your partition

luckily it only takes 5 screws for the smaller versions of Neptune 4 and 4 Pro

Can you use any other brand eMMC? Like there are many 8Gb, 16Gb, 32Gb, 64Gb etc

I'm not sure. You need to try if the board supports it. Elegoo for the replacent cards uses only Makerbase product. I suppose there is some capacity limit like 8GB or 16GB.

@@lubitechchannel oh well, I ordered a generic 32Gb eMMC. They use the same 20pin connectors and there should be no capacity access limit really, but who knows if MKS did for some silly reason!

Did it work with another emmc?

@@lubitechchannel Yes, it works fine with a generic 32Gb eMMC. I assume they are all 20pin and the same pinouts (a standard I expect). And the MKS board has no issue addressing that all. If you build it up from scratch (the system) then you just do as per for the stock eMMC anyway, but if you clone a prior smaller (8Gb) eMMC onto it, then you need to do some partition modifications so it will expand to the full size AND then have all the meta data 'pointers' (or whatever it is named) match what the partitions are then. It is quite easy to do, but it took a bit of searching, researching, etc to find outlines on what to do.
There is another reply a bit lower down that I did a week or few back about it.
