I saw one article related to automotive industry over worth of 60,000 cr which is near lakhs of manufactured casr are dump in their backyards like MS, tata, Hyundai, M&M, last 3 month they struggle to maintain their stock value due to financial status, environmental causes &etc... this could be reflecting coming 3 months ,so they give plenty of discounts , offers, resale value by coming months so this is right time to buy a new car.
60,000cr worth yard cars are mostly overstocked Honda, MG, Jeep, Suzuki, Toyata, Skoda/WV cars. Which are left unsold because of the surge in sales of Tata and Mahindra vehicles.. This month, Tata punch overtook suziki to position itself as India's most selling car in June.
Honda, Skoda/WV, Jeep are most hit with nearly ceased sales. Tata, Mahindra and Hyundai/Kia are doing quite good. Mahindra's Scorpio N and xuv 3xO are selling like hot cakes.

@@sabarishgnanaraj4845 yes you're right, but as far as it goes for hyundai, tata and mahindra, few select variants remains unsold like Nexon top end petrols, few XUV700 AX series, Bolero neo, Alcazar, Verna, Venue, Sonet remain in yard either in manufacturer yard or dealer yard. But for some other brands like Honda, MG, Jeep, Nissan reno, WV their entire manufacturing output remains untouched across all variants. I visited different brands big dealership yards and found this situation.

Bro, definitely I will go for base model... Maintenance is low (I could see on many top varieties tat only one day time running lamp will work) and we can't change under warranty (I'm not sure)... compared with top & in base model no need of DTRL (sorry for if I use wrong spell).. no cosmatic changes. But this car had option of folding seats is actually welcoming in base model as u mention in 15:02.. I luv it... I can load coconut and banana on the seasons.. using my cars for household things..
I own altroz base model and Thar top model. My dad has Ford Fiesta top end d he own 1969 fiat too. So over cosmatic featured cars are really suck ur hand after 5 yrs... No need to worry under warranty period..

Boss they didn’t decrease the price by introducing new variants ... they had an ambition variant with OR price 14.5 lakhs but now the OR price of 2nd variant is 16.5 lakhs.. the difference between cost for 1st and 2nd variant is 3 lakhs..only for base variant may be price little reduced

It is Good that Skoda has reduced the price for Base variant...But there are lot of other issues
1) AC Complaint is a big setback.
2) Rapid had one gem of a engine. intha 1 Litre TSI is way too underpowered
3) No Diesel. But Petrol car eh last 3 years la Diesel ku equala price pannitaanga.
4) Maintenence cost as usual.
Skoda Thinktank is no way close to capturing the needs of Indian market.
Pricing if you see nowadays everycar has been costing like something,swift for 11 lakhs 😂

Don't underestimate swift, swift is (was) a little beast with a niche engine. This slavia is ugly fat European gurl with a puny engine.

Not worth for money (1ltr engine), also lot of complaints in slavia, better 2nd rapid 1.5 is worth n available less than 12L

They are under different tax slab. Of course lower tax bracket = better value. (25% tax vs 50% tax). But if you want extra space, there is no comparison.
