You two have come so far from a neglected farm to a absolute paradise. Proof that hard work pays off. Having a wife like Rebekah also makes all the difference in the world. Congrats guys much love ❤. Your very blessed...keep the lord first.
And a good time was had by all, including "THE STOMPER", she was just keeping her kids in line and out of trouble. Everything is looking good around there and the news about the fish was great too. Stay safe and keep up the fun. Fred.
@@cancermonkey7334 Some how you misconstrued my comment, which was with Neils golf game. It had absolutely no connection with Evan or his wife. You merely jumped the gun with out thinking it through. Have a good day trunkmonkey.
You can speed up the smoked potato by wraping it in a wet paper towel then putting it in the microwave for 5 minutes then flip it microwave 5 more minutes Helps soften it
You certainly have a fantastic array of farming equipment - and a bbq for every occasion! And a wonderful wife. It appears Dusty the rooster just didn't get it, and in the end he just got it, in the form of the sharp end of the axe. I bet the other chickens have been well behaved since...
It always amazes me how long it takes to clean up what you can cut down in such a short time. For each 30 min of cutting, you are probably looking at 2 hours of clean up.
Evan, Rebekah, I have to say that you are the one couple on you tube that I envy. You both make the work look so much fun and so easy. Trust me, I am well aware that, that is not the case. I used to do holiday work on a farm in Scotland. I have been out at 2am on Christmas Day with 6 “ of snow on the ground, assisting a stupid cow who decided to give birth 2 weeks early. I was on the birthing rope. (Those that know, know !) I decided that being a ships Engineer was a much more sensible job. 126 degrees under the engine room fan on my first ship! But what you have both achieved, in the years of watching you, has been nothing short of amazing!! But, more than that, what you have given to us, your fans and followers, has been so much enjoyment, that it cannot really be put, accurately at least, into words . Thank you both. Oh, and Evan , 2 hints for smoking a spud next time : 1) nuke it first in a bowl, with a bit of water in the bottom, and covered with Saran Wrap for 5 minutes, then put it nekkid in the smoker . 2) Try putting a “potato nail “ in the spud first. It cuts about 15 minutes off the regular baking time, don’t know about smoking time. Both of you, thanks again. Rod
We call them peepers 🐸in NH …it’s our signal when spring has officially arrived…we’ve tracked the dates when they’ve come out every year. We’re still anxiously waiting to hear them this year. You’ve done a fantastic job clearing along your driveway and fence area, plus chipping up the all branches. Nothing goes to waste on your homestead!
At 22:15 those are wood frogs croaking and spring peepers peeping 👍 Wood frogs live in the woods and like puddles of water and spring peepers are actually tree frogs but they like permanent ponds. Those 2 frogs are the first to start calling in early spring. Next you might get chorus frogs and American toads so if you get any new sounds out there please give us another update included in a video. Thanks!!
I hear ya Tater. My wife and I have been married 40 years and she still asks what I want to eat... answer, meat and potatoes. I'm a meat and tater guy too. Y'all are doing a wonderful job with the farm. Wishing you much happiness, a long life and good health.
High Evan and Rebecca wanted to tell You that you do a great viedo. Do You think You could add some trail cameras pictures of the deer on Your place. Thank You
Evan, just a wee tip to help improve your giant potatoes cooking. Place a fork inserted at either end of the giant spud, no plastic handle. Improves cooking time by 50%. Finish off in the microwave if needed with no effect to crusty exterior.
Great video. So many different components. I'm happy to hear you'll be rebuilding the woodshed this year. I can't wait to see what you come up with. We have all come to know that once you dream building something, it will be amazing. Pay no attention to those that clamor on about over-building or the such. Once your idea takes actual form, it is always brilliant. I constantly sit in anticipation for what you will post next. You don't disappoint. And....yayyyy....there are fish. Very cool.
The ribs looked great, made my stomach growl. No easy job cleaning up tree limbs and smaller trees that have to be chipped or mulched. You pond looks nice, takes me back to my youth. In the 60's we had a 3.5 acre one at my mom and dad's farm, did a lot of fishing back in the day. Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing, I hope you have a nice Friday and weekend too.
I love to make compost but a much smaller scale. Oak leaves and scraps and peeling make good fertilize. Your farm is lookin amazing. Thank the Lord for his wonderful mercy and Grace. Be safe.
I tried baked potatoes on the smoker one time. Never again. Lol. They never really got done, even tho they cooked for hours. Not at all soft and fluffy like baking in the oven. The taste is good, but the texture was awful and just so hard. Ugh. The fence row looks amazing, Evan. Great job with clearing it out. 😊❤
Do you plan to dehorn your heifer, now is a good time when they are small. Cows will become aggressive and dominate when it is the only one to have horns.
Smoker tip here: Sift your pellets. All that dust that comes from bottom of the bucket plays havoc on those augers. Gettin hot and cold and the humidity in summer time can really cause a headache and usually right when your about 7 hours into an expensive cut of meat cook.
Love all those grills you have, those ribs looked delicious. Nice tractor, quite a few youtubers have those TYM's. God Bless y'all. John V. Mi. 🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🗽
I use a aluminum gutter nails pushed through the middle of the potatoes to help cooking they not only cook from outside in but also from the inside out they will cook twice as fast. After your done wash the nails for the next time.
Evan, Will you be raising steers again this year? Also, for the dairy girls, will you stagger their calving seasons so you have at least one milking for every month, doubling up before one goes dry?
Jason of CogHill Farm puts fly treatment on a cloth and rubs it over his cow Moody. Better than spraying. MIA lets you pet her. Rub the cloth over her back and legs. Worth a try
Thank you for sharing another great video! And I like your decision to tear down the dilapidated old firewood shed and then build a new one. Might want to design in a place to store your splitter and wood tools right there inside the new wood shed. Nice job of smoking on the ribs! To help with managing all of the smoke. Maybe consider installing a couple of ceiling fans. And one more thing I would suggest is a porch swing, You both work so hard all day. So wouldn’t it be nice to enjoy swinging together while listening to the frog chorus coming from the pond. 😊 Have a blessed weekend!
Take that top grate out of the smoker. Best thing I ever did to my smoker just like it. Also I just saw Milwaukee has a fence stapler. Which may benefit you on your huge fence project.
Evan, I watched a youtube where a fellow dug a huge hole then put all the roots from the trees he'd cut down then set it alight and after it had burned down he the started to turn it into a compute heap putting the waist from the cows and chickens giving a couple of months to ferment, just a suggestion
I think I got a splinter when we fell on the ground
It's ponds time

Hi..... Evan and Rebecca thanks you for showing your video homestead bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
Good to hear you still got fish and they are as active as you described.
Great job looking great keep up the great work love your videos thank you
Yes, rebuild the firewood shed. Those old boards don't have much life left in them anyway. Love the lambs!
So happy that you found fish in the pond
And a good time was had by all, including "THE STOMPER", she was just keeping her kids in line and out of trouble. Everything is looking good around there and the news about the fish was great too. Stay safe and keep up the fun. Fred.
Great combo video. Tractors, Chipping, Logging, Animals, Ribs, Smoker, Fish, Pond, Frogs, and other sounds. Thank you for sharing.
All the Rebecca's I know are Becca's. You make the show with your obvious kindness. Thank you...Neil.
She spells it differently also. I think it’s Rebekah
We Boomers called them Becky, each generation has their own vernacular
@@ronaldlee2376 Evan has only addressed her as Rebekah. I feel it’s more respectful to call her by the name he agrees with.

What a beautiful place you guys have there. It will be so great when you can devote all your time to taking care of it.

What a beautiful, beautiful place you guys have made for yourselves🤘🏼‼️
Now your thinging on rebuilding that firewood shad is a great idea.
Looking forward to your bridge building episode!
Put this in micro wave for 5 minutes does potatoes wonderfully
Those ribs looked phenomenal. Great video!
Thanks, Evan. You did two of my favorite things to watch you do. You worked in firewood and smoked food on the grill. I am doubly happy today.
I agree Pam. Firewood is so fun to watch. It’s what hooked me on RUclips. There is a whole community of us out there! 😂 Take care👊🏻🪵🪵
Those sounds are natures orchestra. Man, I could fall asleep very easily to that.

The farm is looking so good, you guys are doing a wonderful job ,God bless, take care
another great video
Good Videos...I watch most of them.
Enjoy your videos guys. A couple working together. Getting the job done,no matter what. GOD BLESS you both !!!!!!

Great news about the pond having fish. Caught the flash of lightning at your back there.
Great to hear about your fish, third time is always the charm.
Really have enjoyed watching you clean up your farm it is looking very nice 👌
That was so enjoyable & relaxing. Thanks you two! 😊 💕
The ribs and potato looked delicious! 😋
That’s a beautiful potato! The baby sheep are so adorable!
I’ve read in multiple articles one shouldn’t wrap a potato in foil, you end up a steamed potato.
Did anyone else tilt their head with the tracket & trees was coming towards the camera? 😂😂😂
Your animals are so cute & well taken care of ! I LOVE YOU BOTH !!!!
As hard as you guys work you deserve that beautiful farm. Love watching every incremental improvement.
Spring Peepers’s chirp. One of the best sounds ever. A frog about the size of your thumb nail.
Back at yall!
Oh my lord Evan I was so engrossed in you shaking the wood ships out of the tractor that I was shaking my iPad. 😂
Think you're hearing spring peepers ( a chorus frog) they're only about an inch long. I just found out about them a few years ago.
We call them peepers 🐸in NH …it’s our signal when spring has officially arrived…we’ve tracked the dates when they’ve come out every year. We’re still anxiously waiting to hear them this year. Looked like you was playing Pixie-Stix with a tractor. 🤠
The farm is looking so good. The lambs are pretty cute too. Do you ever have snakes get into your mulch pile to have their babies?
I'm a 30 year municipal and utility arborist that little chipper is really impressing me I used one of the first 9 inch chippers and yours is sweet
You can microwave those large potatoes for 3-4 minutes before put on smoker so they come out ready with rest of meal. just a thought

Been watching since you were living in the RV……that ole’ firewood shed….haha
Always enjoy your videos

Enjoyed the video this afternoon. Thank you for sharing. Have a great rest of your evening.

Could you do an update on your trees? The chestnuts and the fruit trees. Do you have any plans for the shallow well?

Thanks again for the great work on content from the farm
When we were kids we would cut the potatoes in half short side and take all the meat out of the skin, and put butter in them they were good.😊
Meat and Potatoes 😋
Hope you guys are ok with all the storms lately! Love the video!
Great video mate but couldn’t you mate a back piece for the back off your wagon just asking mate god bless you all there.
