The moment the bad guy realized he turned into his mother spoke so much to me. There is always something you say or do that makes you realize that no matter what, you will turn into your parents.
"You consider me a friend?" "Sure. What else would I consider you?" "I don't know. An embarrassment? A way to rebel against your parents? A desperate cry for help? The list is endless." Fun Fact: This is the first Blue Sky Studios' stand-alone film. Location Location Fact: Rivet Town was designed after Watertown, New York, because director Chris Wedge grew up there. CGI Over Practical Fact: A special rendering tool was created specifically to randomly place the pips on every domino in Bigweld's (Mel Brooks) workshop. Voice Play Fact: Chris Wedge reports on the DVD commentary that Robin Williams performed the scene with Fender and Rodney (Ewan McGregor) attempting to get past Tim (Paul Giamatti) eight times in eight different accents, including as a Polish valet. Music Enthusiast Fact: The filmmakers wanted the music score to sound like it was recorded by the "Robot Philharmonic" or something. To that effect, they hired performance artists Blue Man Group, known for performing on musical instruments made from industrial piping and other found objects, to do special percussion effects.
1:02 Fun Fact: _Robots_ was created by its director Chris Wedge and one of its producers William Joyce, the author of _Rolie Polie Olie_ ! In fact, the movie started out initially as an adaptation of one of Joyce’s stories, _Santa Calls_ which led to a failed animation test back in 2000! Plus, Joyce later became involved in the film adaptations of his stories like _Meet the Robinsons_ and _Rise of the Guardians_ and _Epic_ !
This movies theme was similar to the later "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2", the boy that tries to impress the world's main scientist, and the adventures he goes on to archive his goal. I hear there are even plans for a "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 3", and before that there was a prequel cartoon, "The Series", which like to call "The Flint and Sam Adventures". Robots also reminds me a bit of "Treasure Planet".
Screenplay by Ganz and Mandel, who also wrote A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN, PARENTHOOD, CITY SLICKERS, SPLASH and a favorite of mine, highly recommended--NIGHT SHIFT!
I too never played mouse trap, just set up the mouse trap. I watched this once shortly after its release, it was good but I never had a chance to watch it again. You have inspired me to seek watching this one again and, I’m looking forward to it. Thank you so very much for the reaction and commentary.
I like the concept of Robot City. Like we'd have a place called Human City. 😀 Why doesn't anyone cosplay the charachters from this movie? Lots of great looking robots in it!! Thanks for uploading! Greetings from Sweden
😎👍 Whenever people think of CGI animation, Disney/Pixar and Dreamworks are usually the first two corporations that pop into their heads, completely forgetting that from 2005-2019, Blue Sky Studios also put out a pretty impressive body of work. Another really great movie of theirs is "Rio" (2011). 🦜 With that film, they managed to pick the perfect actors to voice the two leads, Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway. You're reactions are always a hoot. 🦉

Ooof, truth
Are you part of that "turn-into-parents" support group from the Progressive commercials?

It’s funny because it’s true 😂
20:26 And here we have a Rhetorical questioning her life decisions 😂😂😂

Yes retro-futurism is absolutely an aesthetic. In this case it's called DecoPunk. (Steampunk is Victorian retro-futurism.)

11:19 AUNT FANNY HAS ENTERED THE CHAT 🎉🎉🎉
Had a good time watching you comment and react, also did you and your sister catch any mice?
Sometimes 😂 we’d have them go round and round the circle and set the trap
5:52 This entire scene had potential for a toy I feel like. Just me?

13:15 Can a robot... die? Or would he just have to retire and stay at home? How does that work
