The eeveelutions are insane now. Just look at Espeon with all the coverage she could ever want. Not only that, psychic surge summon psychic terrain blocks all priority, and magic bounce will not allow paralysis or sleep to slow her down. Sure, she might not be untouchable in terms of speed. But with sticky web or tailwind support, you can easily fix that.
frost orb flareon w 130 atk quick feet and guts with extremespeed cleans everything. Frostbite being cleansed by flare blitz dont even matter because you get frost at the end of the turn again
The best way I found to use Arboliva was to have Triage as your ability of choice and run a moveset of Giga Drain/Soil Drain/Growth/Strength Sap, with 252HP, 252Sp.atk, and 4Def Ev's and a Modest nature. With Chloroplast included in Big Leaves, you can easily get +2 Sp.atk with Growth and hit your opponent with +3 priority Giga Drains while also having decent coverage in Soil Drain, which is a Ground-Type move with the same base power and also gains priority from Triage. If the opposing Pokémon is physical and doesn't kill Arboliva at -1 Atk, Arboliva can soften the opponent with priority Strength Sap to give itself the chance to use Growth multiple times and even OHKO Pokémon that resist its attacks while also constantly healing. Give it Life Orb to boost its attacks basically for free and you're looking at a mon who is surprisingly consistent and dependable.
I've had equal success with a bulky set. Setting her up with grass seed and triage Strength Sap means she can tank a surprising amount of damage. Not to mention Rage Powder letting you set Leech Seed on two opponents is awesome.
Regular Dodrio is nuts. 3 immunities gives it a lot of switch in potential. It's pretty fast, and with Multi-Headed it shreds Sashed mons. I run mine with Big Pecks, Sash, and Swords Dance triple STAB
I'm really glad Kilowatrel is getting the recognition it deserves because I'll always have it in my team especially in rain where I can spam fast electro shot ko'ing even anything that resists it. My most favourite set is Electro Shot, Hurricane, Weather Ball and Volt Switch with Wind Blower
Playing with randomized encounters and Nuzlocke encounters has made me really appreciate some of the weaker pokemon you get stuck with as your encounter. Arboliva was helping carry my team in the early game. Scovillain in sunlight hits like a truck with its solar blade hitting twice making it tear through teams that don't have a solid resist and it's access to pyromancy for 5x odds of burning on its fire type moves allows it to get burns on your opponent constantly without needing to run Will-o-wisp. It's got great spread for either being a physicals or special attacker, with potential to be a mixed attacker. It really needs Chlorophyll for it to be great as Moody and Solar Flare I feel aren't as helpful in the long run.
You get the drill by now: Ursaring: essentially has fallen out of favor via ursaluna both base and even it’s mega (despite the latter being far worse), but even taking them out of the picture, it’s role is outdone by beartic Arboliva: Everyone often gushes over mega meganium, but this is MUCH scarier despite not taking the mega slot, as it has steel coverage supported by prio, a better boosting move, and it’s overall MUCH stronger, not even taking into account the terrain potentially gets and how Sun makes checking it even harder to the point you just lose if you don’t have anti prio. Ceruledge: So strong it actually ended up banned. Turns out, when you take blaziken, give it a firm of longevity and crank up the power to 11, that tends to break things. Persian: On paper it’s decent, but if you really want a Mon of its caliber, ambipom trades the prio for… well, everything else: power, coverage, and even some utility in pick up (tho considering that’s on the watchlist rn that may at least change) Kilo: Extremely controversial, essentially impossible to reliably handle without an electric immunity. The moment pickup gets banned and pachi completely falls out of the meta as a result, this thing’s going to become oppressive.
Been using an offensive sticky web team and Ceruledge has been a CRUCIAL team member as a Merciless abuser. It's one of the few Pokemon that gets it that isn't poison type, and the addition of Moxie and duel wield just make it a total beast. Another crucial offensive mon on this teamset? Seviper. Big Jaws, Coil Up, Stab crunch and poison fang that always crits? It CHUNKS health bars when the conditions are set up. And it's partial dark typing makes it a valuable asset to an otherwise poison saturated team style. Glimmora is also pretty good. Accelerate Meteor Beam that ALSO always critical hits.
I almost alwsys use rain centered teams. Both Arboliva and Kilowatrell are great on teams like that, but there is this one that I cant skip using, and this is Jynx. 3 great innates + pyschic surge, dishing out massive damage with both stabs hitting two enemies in doubles. And a great support in lovely kiss with her buffed speed.
Cubchoo has the exact same combo Ursaring has (Guts, Quick Feet, Fur Coat, Tough Claws), albeit with less stats. I'm doing a Mono Ice Doubles LC run and he's putting in some work. Definitely appreciates North Wind from Snorunt. (Looking at the dex, Beartic can run the exact same combo as well; the different typing means you'll have weaker Facades, but anything Ice weak is gonna have a bad time.) One that's really going crazy is Amaura. Know how its Rock/Ice typing is normally godawful defensively? Well, the Amaura line gets Primal Armor (50% reduction to Supereffective Moves) and Permafrost (25% reduction to Supereffective Moves), and can then pick Solid Rock as an Ability (35% reduction to Supereffective Moves). These all stack multiplicatively, so if it's hit with one of its 4x weaknesses, that 400% damage becomes only 97.5%. Hitting its *double weaknesses* deals a little less damage than neutral hits! And its normal weaknesses might as well be resistances!
I used Persian in one of my runs. Choice Band + Perfectionist + Skill Link + Technician Fury Swipes can kill almost anything, I'm not joking. You can even kill most legendaries with it
Ursaring : One of the rare mon that can use Eviolite but often prefer not to. Surprisingly good combination of Attack, Defense and Speed for a not fully evolved mon and having STAB Facade is always amazing on a Guts mon. Persian : Fury Swipe normally gets a high crit chance in exchange of being 20 BP instead of the usual 25 but combined with Perfectionist and Technician, it becomes a priority move with 30BP that can hit 2 to 5 times with a 50% crit chance. Persian also have access to Mud Slap that was changed to a Special multi hit move that will also recieve the +1 crit, +1 Priority and the 50% boost. Great to take by surprise Rock and Steel types. Could also mention how, if you don't like using Sniper, you can run Skill Link instead. Arboliva : You can run Triage and Ripen on it as mentionned by everyone but his last ability makes it a potentially great support mon with Friend Guard making his allies take half damage. His Grassy Terrain and Pollen Puff can even heal said ally, Aromatherapy can heal the status of his team and Wide Guard is a option to protect his team from spread moves. Based on some things we saw from 2.5, Seed Sower will no longer setup Leech Seed and instead use Amoratherapy if the ability puts a Grassy Terrain. Ceruledge : The fact that i heard no one mention it have Sweeping Edge or Merciless as his other abilities speaks volumes on how broken it is with Speed Boost. Especially with how many people call it broken (and for good reasons). Kilowattrel : This guy ironically gave me a lot of trouble with his Air Blower ability ... in my Rock Monotype run. If you wonder why, it's because Razor Wind became a Flying move with 70 BP that not only is super effective on Rock types but also gets +1 Priority under Tailwind. So suddently i had to run bulky Special tanks that double resist Flying type moves or Sashed mons because Winona's lead outspeed basically everything and KO them with ease. I couldn't even beat said Kilowattrel with my Day and Dusk Lycanroc that have Accelerock because his Razor Wind have the same priority and it naturally outspeed them due to Tailwind.
Greedent carried me all the way to gym 4 with harvest, cheek pouch and gluttony, sitrus berry. It heeled almost every turn and was able to become a tank
Ceruledge single-handedly eats teams. Just set up a sticky web and moxie ceru streamrolls most of everything Speed bosst is bait, merciless is way more useful, guaranteed crits make sure stat changes don't stop it, which is crucial, it synergies with sticky web and webs also covers ceru's mediocre speed
I have a pokemon I was so happy is was buffed and it's flareon quite similar to ursaling with guts and quick feet but the best part is its speed now is 110 so it will be very speedy also as an eeveelution it can others moves like leaf blade from leafeon and triple Axel from glaceon and much more tbh flareon is very good for early and I heavily recommend it
Other pokemon that were greater than i would have expected are Aurorus, Goodra and Eelektross Aurorus almost with no weaknesses Goodra toxic orb water type facade Eelektross 100% accurate zap cannon and hydro pump with shock wave to end it
Technically, if you pick Solid Rock, Aurorus will have no weaknesses as they will take slightly more damage from a neutral move that a Steel or a Fighting move (With Solid Rock, Primal Armor and Permafrost, it ends up taking 97.5% damage instead of the 400% a 4× move will usually do). If you don't take Solid Rock, theses 4× super effective moves (without STAB) will do 150% damage instead, doing the same damage as a neutral move with STAB
The ace of my team is Trick Room Rabsca , that things is a damn monster with damn near insane type coverage , invest Ev’s into its health and special attack and slap a focus sash/band on that mon and your good for maybe 99.5% of the game , the only issue you will run into is MAYBE bulky legendaries. But for an example I mopped groudoun, Kyogre etc with that mon alone
And to add to this Rabsca destroys ceruledge even with speed boost and moxie AND protect etc it doesn’t stand half of a chance against Rabsca if that protect fails even once ceruledge is screwed ….and Rabsca can learn substitute I think to add insult to injury
Also mention about Cerluedge: Burning Balwark, Swords Dance, Bitter Blade and Shadow Claw with Speed Boost and Weakness Policy with much more attack and speed
thanks to you, i downloaded elite redux and started a randomizer elite mode playthrough! i just wish the enemy trainers had randomized mons and abilities just to make the game a whole lot sillier Elite Redux will be my autistic hyperfixation for a long time.
Vileplume shouldn’t be as good as it is but with grassy surge grass pelt its defense is great and it’s already naturally bulky on the special defense side so just pouring into its hp makes it deceptively bulky regenerator natural cure solve any problems after a single u-turn it can toxic stale pretty well since it’s got natural recovery from grassy terrain and can have both giga drain and moonlight to help and with giga drain which can be better with the big root if needed
I was doing a ghost mono run and Ceruledge teared through most of the battles, even in desperate situations it guided me to victory. No surprise they'll nerf it
Redux floatzel is also super underrated. Its an great revenge killer and support. Its also super good as a pivot, it is immune to ground and flying, meaning it can switch for free vs some pokemon and let you get in a tailwind and chip with fake out, u-turn or taunt/toxic. Its kinda designed to sacrifice though so not the best in nuzlocks.
G-Linoone and Granbull are also top-tier Facade users. The former gets high speed and Hyper Agressive to Facade through sashes, and the latter gets Pixilate Facade.

I’d like to mention Braviary’s Choice Band + Gale Wings + Flock + Giant Wings + Big Pecks + Dual Wingbeat.
It can sweep most teams in the game just by pressing A lol
That's just wally
As a major Ursaring fan, I can confirm. That thing is disgustingly powerful and will run through teams very easily
its so good 😭
