You should do a video where you talk about insurance and houses like you are helping flare out and you're dealing with yourself you don't have to go into full detail but she can make up a scenario because you build houses

You need to turn your 2x4 over so the widest part is where they stand on for the roost. They don’t have feet like other birds and appreciate a wider place to stand while sleeping. They will also crouch down and cover their feet with their feathers and it will help them stay warm

    • @chriscanterbury8647

Yeah I use 2x6's for roosts, gives them plenty of room to lay down and cover their feet for warmth

My favorite video so far!! Love seeing you GORGEOUS home. So well designed. You can tell a lot of thought went into the build and the decoration. It is absolutely beautiful. Not only does your wife have great style but she is gorgeous! Love seeing you guys working to get the house back to its glory. Remarkable how much you have already gotten done. I think you have the prettiest chicken coup I've ever seen also. Your daughter ais stunning and grandkids are beautiful. Love seeing a daily blog style video of your home and the work you are doing on it.

Brad if your going to get rid of your rock steps that failed and busted up Flair might want them to put in his pond for the fish to use for bedding.

In my experience with runoff or muddy areas, use Rip-Rap rock as a deep base rock bed to build on. To balance the stairs on the Rip-Rap, it will take some skilled stone workers. Put the Rip-Rap on top of (Hard Pack) it's like a granite or marble dust from your local stone quarry. Some pine straw in and around is a good long-term weed prevention when you're done because you 're going to be pulling weeds from those rocks
Rip-Rap is also good to keep your cow sheds dry even with all the pee & 💩.

@Brad the Builder With the rock steps I would have dug in a bit and had the steps sunk into concrete and gravel with short rock walls that will also hold the lights. I would probably have put in french drains that run across the bottom of the steps and have them run where you need them to. They require some maintaining but they look nicer than running rain canals everywhere and if done right they are easy to manage. With a bunch more work you could even route the water to the pond.

It looks like they just used mud or a fin sand to level them. You should put a medium with a fine gravel on top. Then it wont wash away. Or something permanent like grout or some type of cement.

Brad, Duke is beautiful. He reminds me somewhat of our old timer, Max. He's about 75lb and the sweetest, most loveable, well-behaved (relatively) pup I've ever had. He'll be 13yo this year. What are your other dogs names (the two that were outside. It is cute how the little one follows the black pup. Are they always a team? Do your dogs get along with Patch? Is Patch gone for good, or just a bit? He's such a great dog, despite him collecting all the shoes left outside.
We are currently fostering a dog that my daughter rescued. She is about 85lb (about 110lb when full grown), 1 year old, part Leonberger Mastiff. Google them. She's beautiful, very sweet but is a LOT of dog for us to have in our house with our 2 dogs, me with my walker/chair and pretty much everything from the lowest level of our house sitting in my living room currently. I had a flood in my basement about 2 weeks ago now and it's been a royal pain in the butt. I could go on and on, but will hold back. I wish I knew how to deal with what the suggestions are as far as preventative/repair work goes!!! Could sure use a buddy who's a builder about now, hahaha! Kidding - you have enough on your plate!
Even with all the damage to your home, it is beautiful. Can you do another walk-thru of it now that you've been there for a bit? I don't recall if we saw it furnished before. Either way, it is lovely. I love the high ceilings and brightness of it, even if thee is the odd window boarded up. Your daughter Sammy and grandkiddos are lovely. I have a niece named Samantha that we call Sammy too. Love that name. You mentioned that Nate recently got married. How is Max doing these days?
The broken outdoor stairs at your house are such a shame. They're such gorgeous pieces of stone. I have no suggestions about how to prevent the washout of the soil underneath, but I'm sure someone will!
Thanks for a great video, Brad.
    Heather🇨🇦

Besides cleaning everything as best as possible and some extra vitamins in their water but other than that it just has to pass

Andrew and crew have been trying to catch that rabbit to put it back in the cage with its sisters or brothers whichever one it needs to go in.
You should tell him to watch this episode so he can figure out that it goes into the chicken coop so he can block off the doors and then they can catch it inside their.
If it's a girl wabbit, I don't think they wanted outside because they don't want any more wittle wabbits.
