I always loved that late Roy Orbison's 1964 original and I think he'd have approved of Home Free's rendition. The suits & pompadours fit the era (I wonder what they're gonna do next with Austin's hair - so far they've had these, braids, buns, ponytails). Home Free aren't just experts at singing, harmony & beatboxing but also inserting an acapella break in an acapella song! Love your channel & reactions.

They are releasing a new album to celebrate their 10 year anniversary of their win on The Sing Off it will consist of all the songs they sang on the show as well as a few bonus tracks. These guys never disappoint! This is a great redo of the sing-off rendition they did 10 years ago that they made a video for! Their awesome harmonies and Adam’s beat-boxing, along with the costumes and great hairstyles to give their touch of humor and flair to the phenomenal performance! Terrific version! That being said, for me the most compelling element to this song, as in all of Orbison's songs, is the naked vulnerability displayed in the lyrics and storytelling; the raw emotion as well as the skill displayed in Orbison's performance. I don't hear any of that here, this is very polished, but I do appreciate they got the growl right.

It is great, and I don't think you can compare their performance to Orbison's- they are just too different to say one is better than the other. This was the version they did when on the Sing Off Season 4 They won that season The only difference is Chris Rupp was with them then and now they have Adam Chance so they have a true Baritone in there now
This was a very good effort on this tune and yes I enjoyed it very much with perfection in the voices as expected but... I do like the original Roy Orbinson version better. Maybe the first time I've thought that with them. Could be my age and the era of the tune. Oh well it is just one guys opinion and believe me there aren't many today I enjoy more than Home Free
Great rendition from the sing. The have gone back to the 60's with the hair styles, attire and Austin's knee knocking and stance. Great harmonies and Tim with the bass drop. Only Jewel is missing for Austin to serenade like he did at the sing off. Great reaction.

Just discovered your channel tonight and spent way more time than I'd like to admit checking out a large portion of your Home Free reactions. I've really enjoyed them. In one of your videos you mentioned you grew up on country music, so may I suggest a couple of covers from two of the Home Free guys that I don't think get enough run. The video titles are: "Austin Brown & Tim Foust sing "My Maria" in the Backyard!" and "That BASS! Tim Foust + Austin Brown + Jeffrey East + Chris Chatham cover Clay Walker Whats It To You." Both are on Austin's channel. The latter especially was always one of my favorite country songs from the 90s and the cover is tremendous. I will warn you if you're going to check them out: Thar be instruments. But they're both truly fabulous especially if 90s country is nostalgic for you like it is for me.
