Love how you see GK training. I can really rely on what you said about the coach pinging perfect balls showing off his technique more than his trying to improve the GKs haha
Very helpful. I've found in recent years I've been drawn more to my near post then when the ball goes towards middle / back post I struggle to get across when an oppo player heads it at goal. Basically this video endorsed what I had been thinking that when the ball is wide I need to be stood more central. Not sure if I was done at my near post a time or two and that is why I started protecting near post a lot more, but it definitely doesn't help if a cross is whipped in from wide.
Great explanations. You're right one hand punches may be costier. I remember once I opted for a one hand cross and just mismatched the height and the ball dropped into the 18 and striker scored. So 2 hands are best akways.
Nice work! More of this guys! I think goalkeeper community likes this kind of insights of the game. Keep up the good work. Brings me awareness as a goalkeeper and as a trainer to go on a higher level. Cheers!
Loved this lads! Always enjoy watching different crossing techniques. The factors that go into crossing are huge and Lee/Pat are examples that you don't have to be a Cortouis size to be good in the box!
Hey there! Lee always looked for gloves that felt light on his hands and had thinner latex to have more feel on the ball. He wore a lot of uhlsport retros, then Adidas ace trans pro, then finishing his career off with Nike mercurial victory touch. We are in the process of creating a new match glove which will hopefully have a good mix of everything we believe a goalkeeper glove should have!
Dealing with crosses is one of the hardest things imo. So underestimated!
100% mate!
For me it's goal kicks and distribution haha. I'm only 176cm and I feel I've improved a lot with crosses.
That Pat lad is gonna go far.

Thank you! 😂😂😂 just showing he’s doing “his job”
I feel like I learn so much more from these videos than from regular training
🙌
Quality. I now stand maybe 3/4 length of the goal mouth on corners. Such confidence boosting when holding a catch!
🙌🙌🙌 that’s great to hear. Yes 100%, catching crosses is the best feeling!

Thank you mate!
Great content as always! Greetings from Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Thank you, Juan! 🙌
Interesting advice on punching, Pat looks a great prospect
Thanks Anthony! Yeah he definitely is mate!
Another great video from mgk!
Class content... loved the point about the riskiness of the one handed punches, personally always used to hands
Thanks Tino! That’s great to hear
Sadly highlighted yesterday by Kasper Schmeichel. Easy to get the contact just slightly wrong, with really bad results.
Really love this content so necessary👏❤️
Thank you! Definitely feel like this one was our most insightful one yet
great work again
Thank you, Ishan! Glad you liked it 😃
Great video guys 👍
Thank you Jonny!
Rewatching this should I sidestep out to the ball or sprint ?
The best videos.. i would like one of low saves, i sometime save with my feets instead of my hands. The best from argentina
Thank you!
Lee what gloves did you use during your pro career and how often would you cycle through them?

@@ModernDayGK wow great to hear!
Make a video how to dive
I thought that was Steven Tries in the thumbnail for a second
Well done pat
It’s hard dealisng with crosses as a 5’7 keeper bro
I've the same height and yes... I'ts dificult
I watched it last morning, same day I had a game and went for a catch when I should've punched it. Let in a goal 😭😭
Something you'll learn from. Not the most important goal you'll ever concede I'm sure, but good experience under your belt.
