This felt so different from the past week or two. Samoa joe breathing new lift into the AEW title scene. Hangman’s and Swerve rivalry has potential to be something special. Hook finally jumping in the deep end. This segment was great and Joe’s line “no more going online and making hoe ass comments.” Loved it. Hope they give him some time with the belt.
I'm hoping Joe can help boost AEW back to what it was. It's already looking good. It's gonna be a good year

@@ThequestioningcentersMatt the build up and the last two matches delivered in a big way. It established both as top names going forward. They just need to be protected at the moment. Hangman getting to win over Claudio was a good decision in that regard and normally I hate to see Claudio lose.

Of those three, I don't think Hook deserves a title shot.... yet. Not because of a lack of skill or dedication, but because of a lack of experience. Just don't think he's "payed his dues" at this point. Swerve.... nope, just don't see him as being a popular AEW champion. He is so not over. Of the three, Hangman, imho, is most deserving of a title shot. But, Joe as champion will better serve AEW than Hangman as champion.

I'm gonna miss MJF and wish him a speedy recovery but Joe was definitely the best choice to carry the belt. He legit feels like a final boss world champion. Great start for AEW 2024.

I like this type of booking, involving multiple top stars in the feud. Those that fall short can peel off into 2nd and 3rd stories, while all being focused on getting the title. This puts a spotlight on multiple talents, much like the 99-2003 era of WWF rather than being hyper focused on only 1 or 2 guys.
I'm glad someone turned on the HOOK signal! He is one of the two most talked about wrestlers on Twitter today (along with Jinder Mahal).

Samoa Joe’s mic skill is top 3 in the industry. I don’t think anyone can touch him, he buried ppl alive with his promo every single time. Sure many ppl have opinion like cena, roman or cm punk but he’s there up with them definitely he’s able to cook them any day of the week.

HOOK has a great look and is a natural in-ring. If he can become as good of a promo as his father he’ll absolutely have what it takes to be a top guy.
Really like how in AEW the Champ has everyone gunning for them. Just like a "real" sport. Joe has so many people to work with. Every one of them feels fresh, and Im excited to see these matches.
I feel like it's too soon for Hook but it's a way to raise him up a few levels. The better story is Swerve beats Joe with some shenanigans, goes on a HHH style reign with is enforcers, but Hangman eventually takes the title from him by rebuilding all his relationships, with the Elite, the Dark Order, and who knows what else, because the chase, the redemption story is where Hangman excels, but it needs a payoff at some point. Hangman can then lose to build up some new up and comer, maybe Keith Lee to setup another feud with Swerve, or maybe someone from out of left field like one of the Pillars or Jay White.
Yea it’s too early but hook can have with him is being young and can keep the championship going as that’s important cause Joe can take a break when he needs it
