My friend suggests to always bring a clean pair of socks with you especially in summer. Oh and if you have larger feel than average in Japan, having a clean pair of slippers on you might be nice too. They said cheap ones will do.
You go to a bathroom before or?

About the tattoo thing: tattoos, in certain cases, can lead people to be not allowed in specific hot springs, but don’t worry too much about the yakuza thing. Most people in the yakuza are japanese, and foreigners usually stay out of it. A tiny quote on your wrist isn’t going to get you nasty looks and bans from water parks.
Good point - I had to cover my back tattoos to enter various onsen, but I didn't have to worry about the wedding band tattoo on my ring finger. It's so small no one cared.
I like the precures at the end
THE SENJY AND SANZU COSPLAY ARE AMAZING!!!
SANZU AND SENJU
imagine they won’t let you in, bc you can be part of a dangerous gang, but the tattoo you have is a llama on trampoline
Obviously the llamab Trampoline are a dangerous bunch, just check how they control the mountain terfs.
boing boing boing boing boing
Being I believe he's talking about the yakuza, which is super Japanese nationalist, I don't think they will think a non Asian is part of that gang.
Another pro tip: wear durable socks in japan and comfortable shoes. You will be walking a lot and you may wear out your shoes and sock. I did not have a hole in my sock when I put them on but when I took my shoes off... Well that was embarrassing T_T;;
Good advice!
Thank for the tips! I’m going in a year and a half and I’m so excited 😋
I’ve heard Japan is a bit more lax about tattoos on foreigners, but I’m sure there are still places that exist where they’re not allowed in
yeah, it also depends on what your tattoo is and how big it is, most times they'll just make you cover it
@@tsdfghjkl How the fuck am I meant to cover my forearm and fingers?
@@SirDankleberry sleeve and or glove
@@Drummerchef13 And what if it's the middle of summer?
Yeah, the mafia gang term used in Japan is ヤクザ(Yakuza). There's also other customs like you have to wear slippers to use the bathroom and never leave your chopsticks erect on a bowl of rice, it's rude, and don't even point someone with it.
OMG IS THAT PRECURE

Someone: *Has a hello kitty tattoo*
Some Japan hotspring: That's one dangerous gangster

I'll keep in mind that people in Japan move in reverse 🙂
Now here's a question that has been on my mind for a while now. Is it rude to also take off socks or is that just optional?
That’s optional but ppl will think it’s weird lol
@@japanonyt Well at least I know now. Hahaha.
Honestly never thought of that. Everyone only takes off their shoes but leave their socks on.
I had a teacher back in elementary who was a big dude. His feet were so big when he went to visit a temple that they asked him to take his socks off too for some reason.
Nice, thanks for the tips
