I was in between Fuji’s XH2s and the S5ii and no matter which way I priced it out (body + 2 lenses) the S5ii always came out cheaper which is crazy considering the S5ii is full frame and the XH2s is APS-C. It’s annoying how everyone hates on Lumix but they are truly providing so much value and features in their products at a great price. I’m a big fan of what they’re doing especially now that they’ve moved to PDAF.
True right? I mean the XH2S is AMAZING, and is a BUFFED camera, but still not a cinema camera and an Aps-c one (to have that high price). I went through the same exact thought process switching from Sony6400

The X-H2s is the cheapest stacked sensor camera out there. The image quality, video options, and shear speed make it worth every penny. I love mine and prefer to shoot with it over my a1.

We ended up with a loaner S1 for a few months and loved it. We ended up buying four S1's for our daily content creation purposes, plus Lumix lenses. I've been a Lumix guy since then, and bought two S5II's this year and I'm patiently waiting for the S1h II :D
Thanks for the video, Josh. The S5 II and the X are so tempting (already own an OG S5 and an S1). If ONLY you could shoot 4K 50/60p in full frame. Keep waiting to see if there will be a MK II version of the S1 or S1H. Anyway, I am rabling. Thanks again. Seems like a great opportunity for people to try out and fall in love with Lumix cameras.

It's an awesome scheme right?! As far as I'm aware, it's UK only for now which is a shame, however hopefully the UK scheme is successful and encourages other territories to try it too, or something very similar at the least!

Hey Josh question re the Mark2 is there a way of slowing down the Autofocus from jumping about on human detection, I managed to do it on the mk1 but cant find the settings on the mk2

Will Lumix ever officially come to Latin America? I'm from El Salvador, and here we feel abandoned. I have to buy everything on Amazon USA/B&H and then import it.
Unfortunately for now, yes... I'm really hoping that the Lumix team in the US and maybe some other territories also adopt this idea as it's genuinely a great way to try before you buy, and for a time period that allows you to really study it :)

The Lumix rep was n shop and in addition to the camera I intended to test, the man in the shop brought out an S5 IIX and LUMIX S 50/F1.8 - and the shots were so nice - the kind of neutral colours I like. And sharp. I thought I had narrowed down my choices, but now there is another brand in the mix. To my question - in terms of focus acquisition with still photography - how much slower is the S5 compared to the S5 II
Now if they offered a trade of sending them my Sony and lenses for a new camera and lens that WOULD BE THE S#IT! 😂😂😂 I was gonna upgrade my gear and I recently bought an S5ii, (and decided to switch from Sony) because they respect their customers, update their cameras and have amazing quality! (Now I just need to find a way to exchange my Sony gear for another S5ii/S5iiX 🤔🤔, and never look back!…)

This is why the security deposit is in place. It's a shame that there has to be one in the first place, but it's totally understandable when you consider the exact thing you're worried about! They pay it back super quick as well; the deposit was out of my account for less than 5 days I think :)

Olympus already had a similar program called test&wow. But great to see that Panasonic offers that, too.

The 4K60 in the S5 II is not full frame, it is APSC due to the crop x1.5
