'Til All The Seas Tun Dry was such a baffling disappointment for me too. Soft Flannel Hank was such a banger, but I don't know that I'll be reading any more of her books either
@@theforgetfulscholar I feel the same way, then I’ll see stupid people say “well pick up books you like”. DUH! I don’t deliberately pick up books I’ll hate. I always pick up books I hope I will love, and it is disappointing to read something that I’m not enjoying. Hence why most of my disappointing reads this year I ended up DNFing.
@@amy_harboredinpages Exactly, that author made the biggest mistake in publishing which is miss marketing her book. Then when people tried to correct her, she coughed up an attitude. She basically tried to (what you would say) re-invent the wheel. She needed to market her book as a romantic tragedy, but she marketed it as a romance, hence why she got low reviews (she has since corrected it on Amazon). There are so many authors out there, and some of them try to stir up drama in order to get their books read. The best thing people can do for longevity in the author space is to garner their audience organically. This is why these authors come and go quickly, because they don’t get their audience organically. It’s difficult to get your work out there so I totally understand their frustration, but causing drama is always a negative in the author space.

My favorite part is the yearning 42:34 don't take that way from me! lol
@@theforgetfulscholar Exactly, that’s part of the point of reading romance. I love the tension, yearning, pining. All of those things in romance
I always get so dissappointed when I hate a book.
