- I love all the boss fights in this game, but this one is my most favorite. Also the end of the Code Veronica campaign, going back to Leon and Krauser for their final missions in South America!

Alexia killing Alfred simply cos he didn't wake her up on time was truly a shocking deviance from the original.
Oh I agree completely! They probably changed the story a bit to spice things up and make RE vets think hard about the differences.
Rabid Robbie hey, I liked the change to Alfred's voice! Also, I liked the reveal about Alfred's crossdressing and how Claire could relate to being unable to accept a loss.
Personally I think this final boss fight is better.
The original still being the canon one, the Darkside Chronicles version is just how Leon imagined the events of Code Veronica that Claire told to him.
This version of Alexia is more creepy compared to original. She is grown woman but has voice and personality of 10~12 years old girl. Combined with psychopathic and selfish personality it kinda makes me feel weird. Little girl has gained adult body and power of t-Veronica virus and planning to infect the entire world with it.
I still prefer Alfred's original death, the one in which he dies in front of Alexia instead of being killed by her, leading her to get so angry and sad that she goes to the point of ruining her plan of keeping herself hidden from the world just so that she can capture her brother's murderers and avenge his death by turning Steve into one of her experiments while forcing Claire to first watch him turn, and then force her to kill him. It just seems to make the character something close to a human being.
i dont think she care for her brother that much in original code veronica. there is a file written by her said she just think of him as one of her ant soldier.
@@Darealpokgai this is true, she just saw him as a slave to help out with her experiments, he was just her Igor. If I recall, the only person she ever had respect for was Veronica.
Wow, sounds great. Feels much more than the last version. Here she is boring, no chance to believe in even idea of her as a person (especially - as a smart person).

Also her brother was really fond of her so it's not wrong to assume she treated him right, she also sang him a lullaby, she also did go out of his way to kill Claire, Steve to avenge alfred

Alexander's line is absolutely epic.
My favorite part
I wish that'd been in the original. It would have went a long way to humanising the entire Ashford family.
Yet it only highlights his lack of a sense of responsibility. Alexander was so disconnected from the world that he fails to acknowledge that this was his fault. It's a recurring pattern with Alexander: He created a problem and then had another person to clean up his messes.

I really want a well made Code Veronica remake that actually improves, remakes and expands the story instead of cutting content from the OG, a la RE1make, please.
But at the same time I look at the recent remakes and I just go "nah, I really don't want them to fuck up code veronica", so, I'm at a mexican standoff with myself. =/

It would be nice but the way they've been going the remakes today expect there will be hardly any puzzles to solve and it would last about an hour and a half 40 quid your money down the drain just for a 1/2 make game what's the thing they may even make it in like sections installments you know seasons 1-5 first one free all the hype probably be followed by disappointment for instance look at The Last of Us Part 2 and metal gear survive if you played either you know though by rights they ain't remakes but still you gonna get what I'm saying
Truth be told you can't quite perfect a classic they have to be very careful it's like treading on sacred Ground messing up piss off the fans they probably make it an action game more like Call of Duty trying to get new fans to buy it turning their back on the true fans trying to expand as Die Hard fans that happy to toss are hard and hard earned cash they seem to forget we exist

Oh hell yeah, they did not need to go this hard over a retelling but I really appreciate it. I hope they do this if they remake CV.
While the Code Veronica part of Darkside changed too much of the original for the worse, this part with Alexander having recorded that video to play back in case of an emergency is one of the best things added.
Yes, 100%, it is a bit of humanisation of the characters that makes them more "real". He's not just some mad scientist he's also a father. It's the same reason why the birkins in the original RE 2 are much better than the psychotic DID sufferers in the remake.
I actually have respect for him here because while almost every other scientist in Umbrella never stopped to think "Hey, maybe we should stop cause this virus we're making has potential to destroy the world," he however was the only one who looked at what his daughter was doing and thought, "This can have negative consequences on the world as a whole. I love my daughter so as her father, this is the only thing I can do to help her."
Far as I see it, he was one of the few people in Umbrella that had some form of humanity left within him.
The only part that was bad was Alexia killing Alfred. And maybe her new personality. The rest was fine

@@jeremyknight9980 Nah they ruined William in the remake too, which is impressive considering he only has something like 5 lines, for example his incredibly slow draw of his gun while a whole bunch of hardened killers have their guns on him turns him into an idiot.

Alexander Ashford you fucking intelligent visionary had an ace in the hole.
Alexia in the Darkside Chronicles game she can talk although she was in her mutated form type 1 up until she transformed into her mutated form type 2 then she just screams and laughs up to her death but in Code Veronica X when Alexia mutated herself into her 1st form up until the final form till her death, she dint speak or talk at all.
That's one of the things I didn't like in the original, she just stopped talking and didn't really say much before she changed. If they do a CV remake I hope they combine both the original and this version but not have her kill Alfred.

Keep in mind that within the story, Leon Kennedy (who wasn’t even there for the events of Code Veronica) is recounting the events for Krauser. So, basically, unreliable narrator is in effect

I adore Code Veronica and Alexia, I hope we get a proper remake of the game. And I mean fully true to the original unlike this remake, I’d like to see it in the style of the likes of RE7 and 8 too. And we can’t forget that first Alexia battle with that epic song and piano intro 😎 and showing up Wesker as a coward

Really?...she sounds really childish and giggly. I actually really disliked the way they did her in Darkside, the Code Veronica Alexia was perfect IMO. That's one reason I'm afraid of Capcom tries to do a REmake of CVX...it's gonna suck...big time. 🤦

I feel sorry for Alexander he was tortured by his kids and turned into a monster (sure he was still an ass and worked for umbrella) but he realized that alexia was so dangerous hence why he made the anti bow weapon, btw there's a possibility that he might be gay because HE NEVER married and never try to have kids with some genius/high-class woman, it's really weird that he decided to clone his dead ancestor (I know she was a genius and he obsessed with her but still)

He was never confirmed to be gay, having children through surrogacy doesn't always mean that. Your right that he did want to continue the Ashford family but not in the traditional sense.

Yeah he's no William Birkin where he married Anette and they had Sherry but you can say this about Spencer when he did Project Wesker.

Her death was better ans so detailed in the old one. The bean pierced her, expanded, she lit up, the beam particles scattered and then she exploded.

I find the first stage of this fight so cringy! I mean I know the game is old but the attacks are clunky as hell. I hope when a remake comes they can make this fight cool and very active. That tentacle tornado wesker does should be used as an attack by Alexia.
The second and third are a bit cooler.
