I remember that series very well.Kobe played like shit and he cost the Lakers at any shot of winning a tittle that year. Shaq was still playing like the best center and Ben Wallace was the best defensive center at the time.If Kobe was replaced by a decent player in the 2004 finals, the Lakers might would have won their 4th Championship in 5 years and Shaq would have 5 rings instead of 4.Kobe is not even in my all time top 20 list because he was by far the most overrated player in history and he cost the Lakers at a chance of winning the series in the 2004 finals because he played so terrible

+Greg Morgan The 2001 San Antonio Spurs defense weren't even as focused on Kobe because of Shaq. And far as the 2002 season,Kobe didn't play as good as he did in 2001 and the 2002 finals,Kobe numbers were inflated because the Nets were one of the weakest teams to ever played the NBA finals. While Kobe did have great series in Western Conference from 2008-2010,Kobe 2 of his last 3 finals Kobe shot the ball very inefficiently and I say even in 2009,Kobe wasn't very efficient in the 2009 finals. My point of Kobe being by far the most overrated player ever stands because just Kobe only had 1 finals appearance where he was efficient and even then Shaq still greatly outplayed Kobe and the Lakers would have won the Championship without Kobe in 2002 anyway.
+Daniel Clark Yes there is a reason why Kobe has 5 rings. He had Shaq and he had Paul Gasol and Phil Jackson which is the best coach in NBA history. You can't judge a player by rings anyway because according to that logic,Scottie Pippen has more rings than Kobe or Dirk is better than Karl Malone because he has a ring while Karl Malone doesn't. The ring arguments are so flawed.

Kobe Bryant has a 567-506 win-loss record as the leader of his team. That's a 52.8% win-rate. His win-loss record for games where he had 30 or more shot attempts is 54-71 (42%). NBA Finals averages: Shaq (as a Laker) 33.6ppg 14.1reb 3.0ast 2.4blk 60.2%fg Kobe (with Shaq) 22.1ppg 5.2reb 4.6ast, 1.0blk 41.6%fg Kobe Bryant (as leader) 25.3ppg 5.7reb 5.0ast 41.2%fg 31.3%3pt Pau Gasol 17.3ppg 10.4reb 3.2ast 1.7blk 52.8%fg Even Gasol was a better side-kick than Bryant ever was to Shaq. The stats are all from some of toughest play-off series they've ever played in. Facts. And Bryant's championships have all kinds of asterisk all over them. We all know about his first 3 but even if we just look at the 2 he got when he was the 'leader' of the team, there's a lot of questionable points. The one over the Celtics has so many bullshit refereeing that there are still so many videos on YT showing how the NBA rigged it for the Lakers as they do so often. Then look at the Finals against the Orlando Magic, which is arguably the worst Finals match-up ever in the past 40 years. How the hell did a team with Twilight Coward as their best player even got into the Finals? Well, LeBron's team was expected to beat that Magic team but that's another story.
Casual fans don't realize how far he is from MJ and many other players because of all the bull sh*t they try to sell with their media. I've looked at Kobe's stats in great detail and found out an important finding that would give us a better perspective on his ability and preferences. Even in his best scoring season, his field goal % around the rim is LOWER than many guards even those who are much shorter and less athletic. Even a pass first point guard in a restricted system like Tony Parker has way better stats in the paint. Kobe Bryant made significantly fewer field goals and attempted lesser shots inside the paint or within 10 feet from the basket in comparisons. And even in Tony Parker''s non prime seasons, he had comparable inside scoring stats if not better. Here are stats for field goals made and attempted within 3 feet from basket for the following players and specific seasons - Tony Parker - 321/498 (08/09 regular season) - 2456 minutes logged - 0.2 attempts per minute - 363 freethrow attempted Lebron James as a rookie - 284/469 (03/04 regular season) - 3122 minutes logged - 0.15 APM - 460 freethrow attempted Kobe Bryant - 260/435 (05/06 regular season) - 3277 minutes logged - 0.13 APM - 819 freethrow attempted Stephen Curry - 171/249 (14/15 regular season) - 2613 minutes logged - 0.095 APM - 337 freethrow attempted (Added him for folks curious about current MVP) Stats for field goals made and attempted within 10 feet from basket - Tony Parker - 411/706 (08/09 regular season) - 2456 minutes logged - 0.29 attempts per minute - 363 freethrow attempted Kobe Bryant - 349/615 (05/06 regular season) - 3277 minutes logged - 0.19 APM - 819 freethrow attempted Casuals and fools would automatically assume Bryant was a much better slasher and much better finisher around the rim and paint than most guards in NBA history due to the fact that he is 6'6 and very athletic and more importantly he is a player that is still constantly being compared with MJ. The truth couldn't be further from the facade and image that the media projects. Tony Parker was a bigger threat at getting high percentage shots and one might even argue he is still better at this day and age. No one can bring facts to deny this. Kobe fans always give his weaknesses a doubt and even go as far as to say he just has poor shot selection. How about finding out the truth instead of buying into whatever nonsense the media tries to sell you because of their agendas. What's sad is that most people don't even realize what kind of a player Kobe Bryant truly is. It is simply a blasphemy to compare him with MJ and most people do not hate him but just feel disgusted at how the NBA and the media is able to create a product out of a basketball player to such an extend that many people do not even know what's true and what's false. And back to those stats, do note Kobe Bryant got to the line 2.25 times more often than Tony Parker even though he was much less capable at getting into the paint or attacking the basket and make no mistake he was also less efficient and effective. It's nothing short from mind boggling. He had less ability to beat his man and finish at the rim hence he has to constantly take the easiest option available to attempt a field-goal attempt, which is to simple shoot the J. That's why he still jacks up so many three pointers in his final NBA season. He doesn't care if the miss ends up as a fast-break opportunity after the defense collects the rebound, he doesn't care if he uses half of his team's possessions to get close to scoring 25 points as long as he maintain his career average and increase his point totals. For 05/06 he attempted 518 three point attempts out of his 2173 shot attempts and he only made 180 of them. Parker only attempted 1263 shot attempts in total and played 821 minutes less and yet he was still able to get into the paint more frequently and finish off more plays. He got to the line 456 times less than Bryant. Talk about unfairness. He is bald but he is not american and he is not 6'6 and most importantly he is on a small market team that is why the NBA doesn't give him the freebies. Kobe Bryant is a great player but without all the advantages the league, the Lakers franchise, the coaches and so on, would he really have a career average of 25PPG and all the allocates or team championships?? Kobe Bryant is just overrated as hell, he deserves a spot in a top 20 rankings of all time mainly because of how his career played out and the fact that a ton of players weren't as fortunate as him to be bestowed upon so much privilege. His entire career has tons of asterisks all over it. He leads the All-Time list in field-goal attempts missed with 16.9k misses including play-offs with around 14.5k misses during regular season alone. No other player is even close to cracking the 16k or 14k mark in terms of misses and according to the NBA's league average, over 76% of a missed field-goal attempt ends up being a defensive rebound. That means that Kobe Bryant alone is responsible for around 12.8k rebounds for his opponents. He has played in 1,543 games as we're talking. That means that he alone as a player is responsible for generating at least 8.33 opportunities per game for his opponents to potentially run a fast-break, and we're only looking at his field-goal attempts missed here. At the end of the day, the only category which Bryant is a clear cut number 1 is having the most amount of missed field-goal attempts in NBA history. He lead the league as number 1 or 2 in the regular season in that category for 9 different seasons, however he was only able to lead the league in field-goals made 3 times. And even with that insane volume of shot attempts, he is not even in the top 10 of all-time in points per game.

Here is Jordan's worst playoff game
- ruclips.net/video/PD9FhE6d6Gw/видео.html
If more games are available, I might also do other star players' worst playoff games such as Duncan, Shaq, LeBron, etc.
+Nobody Touches Jordan Would love to Duncan or even Bostons big 3
Wade's has to be Game 4 or 5 of the 2014 Finals.
If I get to Wades I'd pick a superstar year rather than when he was past his best. Same thing with Shaq and Duncan. It wouldn't be a big deal if I put up a game from Shaq's Phoenix or Cleveland days, or Duncan in the 2nd half of his career
Nobody Touches Jordan Oh ok makes sense
***** Game 4 of the 2011 Finals IMO.. His game 1 vs the Celtics in 2008 was pretty shit as well.
2001 wcf against the Spurs Kobe shot 51% from the field on 33 ppg a game , 2002 finals Kobe average 26.4 ppg on 51.4 from the field , 2008 wcf against the Spurs kobe average 29.2 on 53.3 from the field , 2009 wcf against Denver 34.1 ppg on 48.1 % , 2010 wcf against the sun Kobe average 33.4 on 52.1 %, yeah by far the most overrated player ever
+Kobetardssuckdick okay look at all his accolades and respect he's gotten from his contemporaries and opposing coaches....You really think anyone cares about fg%? If anything fg% is "so flawed"
+Daniel Clark Okay, would you care if the leader on your favorite team is shooting 36% in the finals and cost their team to lose, would you be okay with that?I would want the leader of my franchise to play efficient basketball on both offense and defense .Field Goal % matters along with True Shooting% because it tells if a player is scoring the ball efficiently or not.Kobe is great but he's very overrated.
Kobe was becoming amazing after this series but gotta admitted that in 2004 final,Kobe was garbage
Nah Kobe choked in 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2012 playoffs too

Kobe Bryant has a 567-506 win-loss record as the leader of his team.That's a 52.8% win-rate.
His win-loss record for games where he had 30 or more shot attempts is 54-71 (42%).
Kobe Bryant has missed postseason 4 times in 12 seasons as the leader and franchise player.
NBA Finals averages:
Shaq (as a Laker) 33.6ppg 14.1reb 3.0ast 2.4blk 60.2%fg
Kobe (with Shaq) 22.1ppg 5.2reb 4.6ast, 1.0blk 41.6%fg
Kobe Bryant (as leader) 25.3ppg 5.7reb 5.0ast 41.2%fg 31.3%3pt
Pau Gasol 17.3ppg 10.4reb 3.2ast 1.7blk 52.8%fg
Even Gasol was a better side-kick than Bryant ever was to Shaq.
Here are stats for field goals made and attempted within 3 feet from basket for the following players and specific seasons -
Tony Parker - 321/498 (08/09 regular season) - 2456 minutes logged - 0.2 attempts per minute - 363 freethrow attempted
Lebron James as a rookie - 284/469 (03/04 regular season) - 3122 minutes logged - 0.15 APM - 460 freethrow attempted
Kobe Bryant - 260/435 (05/06 regular season) - 3277 minutes logged - 0.13 APM - 819 freethrow attempted
Stephen Curry - 171/249 (14/15 regular season) - 2613 minutes logged - 0.095 APM - 337 freethrow attempted (Added him for folks curious about current MVP)
Stats for field goals made and attempted within 10 feet from basket -
Tony Parker - 411/706 (08/09 regular season) - 2456 minutes logged - 0.29 attempts per minute - 363 freethrow attempted
Kobe Bryant - 349/615 (05/06 regular season) - 3277 minutes logged - 0.19 APM - 819 freethrow attempted
Casuals and fools would automatically assume Bryant was a much better slasher and much better finisher around the rim and paint than most guards in NBA history due to the fact that he is 6'6 and very athletic and more importantly he is a player that is still constantly being compared with MJ.
