Hey mate love all you videos Cheers. Would you recommend a Argus .28 or this Alpha t850 or LPR .28 or .32 for a losi kit car 8eight xte truggy for bashing only Cheers
Hello, I enjoy all your engine videos. I have three Novarossi .28s. A 3 port, 7 port and 8 port if you’re interested in modding. A review on the 3 port would be cool. P.S I’m a drag racer.
Hello Rex, hope you are well. Question, i've been measuring timing numbers and crank timing is pretty accurate. I understand that the blowdown is the difference between the top of the exhaust port and the top of the boost port, but those numbers don't add up with the numbers you have given us. Do you know why? I misunderstood something?
I give the blowdown but that is not related to the intake open or close. On some engines the induction open and close total might be off by a degree. I am using a program and if open150.5 and the close is 50.5 it is 150/50 but added together it is 201.
I know the blowdown is related to the exhaust port and the transferports( difference in degrees) and you are using a software program. Watched all your reviews over and over. Really appreciate your reviews. I learn a lot from that, so very big thank you. When i measure the blowdown numbers they are not the same as what the software says and i try to understand why.......?? Also wanna thank you for the tips on the piston head clearence on the 721 SV..... That was a small improvement on the idle, but was a bit smothering on the bottom end then. So still not liking it as much as the fx engines. Don't know if the racer you were talking about in the review on the 721 SV has made any progres with that engine, becaus he did not liked it either as you said.....
Okay,..🤔.. I'm going to try find out. Let you know when i find out. Thank you for repliyng. Keep up the good work. Big fan of yours here in the Netherlands. 👊
In stock form probably not quite as powerful but still much better than other .28. I do believe it will not take as much abuse or last quite as long as the Nova .28's. (mainly the rod)
Rest in peace 🙏 miss ya
We miss you rex
awesome mate your info is impeccable iam trying some home cylinder mods and all this really helps
Nitro Mike has this engine and it runs really well

No problem, I could review the 3 port since I haven't done on of those yet.

How do you think this engine compares to a Novarossi 28-7 or 28-8 as far as performance goes.

Thanks for the reply and all the videos your doing. I have a few novas I need to send you. Also have a Sirio 24 and Boss 28 I want you to modify.
Which .21 engines are best for top end power?
Most on-road engines if your just bashing. For offroad racing the Reds 721.
were can i get this engine.
This one was bought at a hobby shop in Puerto Rico that sells online. Lutz Rc also has them.
Hi add, T850 use for buggy or GT better?
.28 is not legal in a Gt or Nitro buggy. For bashing it would be fine.
