USB Tethering not working only Charging in Mobile | Fix unknown USB device | USB Tethering Problem ✅

In this video, we will show you how to fix the USB tethering issuein mobile. As you can see, I have a Samsung Galaxy A13, and USB tethering not working when I try to connect android phone to pc for internet via usb.
Method 1: Enabling Developer Mode / Options
Developer Options -- Networking Tab -- Tethering Hardware Acceleration -- On Ensure in Default USB configuration -- USB tethering
Method 2. Download and Install Samsung Driver on your PC.
Method 3. Use a Different USB Cable
A faulty USB cable can result in USB tethering troubles. Connect your laptop and Android phone using a new USB cable and check to tether.

My thoughts exactly. For YEARS all I've ever had to do was plug my phones charging cable into my computers usb port and simply give permission for the computer to access my files on my mobile screen.
And it wasn't very long ago I hadn't had any issues, but here we are now in 2024, and of coarse now no matter what USB port I tried and no matter what cord I tried, my mobile will NOT allow me to connect to the computer via USB. So here I am, and now I find out that Samsung has an app for the PC that magically allows this function again.... how lovely, im just glad it didn't cost anything other than the time to download and install ANOTHER unnecessary app to take up more space in digital memory...

Mine was actually easier than going thru all this it just took me about an hour to work it out! I must have a newer version cos got it last week and it's got different options. After becoming 'a developer' I had to search for 'developer options'. Then clicked 'USB debugging'. Then it automatically connected to my laptop giving my connection options on a little window in the left hand bottom corner. I followed the options and it connected!! Hooray!! I agree with other who say this is complicated. Y Samsung Young 2 was plug in and connect not any of this nonsense. Hopefully it will remember for next time I plug in and won't have to do this again.

Thank you... I think this probably did help somewhat. I finally had to connect with a C to C connector (rather than a USB to C connector) which seemed to allow the USB Tether button to show (ie at 0:15) so that I could turn it on.
Also, I had been looking for my phone to pop up under "Network" rather than "This PC" - duh. I still wonder why this isn't at all user-friendly like it used to be 10 years ago??!!

The problem with my LG is, when I go into the Dev options and click "Select USB Configuration", the options show up but close down too quickly, and even trying to click fast enough, it won't let me, it's unclickable, so I'm stuck at "MIDI Transfer" which, guess what, I was using last week and everything was just fine, I was able to transfer files and mirror my screen. Also, the usb options are not showing on the top notifications bar, it just says "silent notifications: charging". My best bet is that there is a bug related to clicking the "always use" option when changing from charging to something else, and so now it got stuck on MIDI transfer.
