I admire Theo's optimist attitude about learning, aging, following ones' passions, and continuing to contribute through volunteering and service. Not always easy to do in countries like the USA where many people struggle to find a balance between life and work, and retirement on one's own terms is increasingly not a given.
Frances Theo presents an inspiring personal journey into urban sketching. I do a lot of rural sketching in Nova Scotia and will adopt some ideas Frances kindly shares here. Thank you, Teoh for making the art world a better place through your videos.
Thank you for sharing Mr. Theo's journey with us...it's very inspiring to know about people who continue to be engage in something they love after retirement.
I am retired also and have returned to sketching, had forgotten so much, like starting over. I have found this quite inspiring, but would ask one question, how old was he when he retired because his work is amazing.
We got started about the same way. II think I'm about his age. just started on a lark, not at all serious, and almost accidentally. I especially like his panarama work, very unusua-- though they were hard to seel. Thanks for posting. (I'm sorry your battery gave out. )
I admire Asian people for being so skilled, productive, neatly dressed, having many friend’s and high morals. I’m really admiring all the Congresspeople in the USA who are of Asian decent.i see them as willing to say the truth unlike a lot of old white geezer politicians 😂
