Solid info, John. You're absolutely right that we don't know what we like/need until we've tried them for ourselves regardless of the information available to us. The data can be a guiding source but the experience is still necessary and is invaluable. I've basically stopped carrying primary knives and just carry a Skeletool now. That is really an invaluable, lightweight tool with the utilities you'd use 90% of the time. I find that I use it more than my Wave.
The knife on a Leatherman PS4 is a great utility knife. It's small enough that I've been carrying one on my keys for 4 years now and is perfect for cutting boxes. The drivers and scissors are an added benefit.
Excellent video! Nice to see your videos again and knew you were busy. I just picked up a Tenicor holster and have been really impressed with it. Im hoping to get into your next GOLDENDALE NVG class and picking up a Black Triangle poker. Stay frosty! Your videos are always excellent.
Sweat guard is more than just for extra weight or sweat. Also keeps the gun from digging into my sides. My M18 has an external safety and that shit will dig into my sides especially when I'm driving so the sweat guard gives a flat surface to keep those external parts flush.
big if true On a real note, might be going the bfg belt. I’ve been using the kore belt and it’s just tooo rigid in my opinion. The BFG looks like the sweet spot for soft/rigid
Great video! I have always been. Fan of Gun Craft, for the diamond stiched suede holster wrap they used. I reached out to them multiple times to just see if they'd plan on coming back in the future. Why did they close up shop?
Skeletool gang for the win. Leatherman sells a half flat head half glass breaker bit for the skeletool which is pretty badass if you are the kind of person that wants a glass breaker handy
Protip: RAT works better than CAT/SOFT-T wide for dogs 🐕 and children. Everyone hates hemostatic agents. Not recommended in civilization. HALO chest seals are great.
Important tip about gloves. DONT USE BLACK GLOVES. Blue, white, tan. When doing body sweeps, the black can hide blood.
Good insight....also black gloves can look like you have a gun from a distance.
@@dtomamerican3471 I was talking strictly nitrile gloves during TCCC or any sort of med situation.
But yes that’s a good point as well
..... 10 years in EMS... and I have never been told this... *mind blown*

@@granite6196 legit never heard or even thought of it. As a matter of fact, in both EMS and the Army they made us use black gloves lol
Carrying an separate handheld light is awesome. I started carrying a light years ago and I don’t know how I ever lived without one.
I swear that I always spend money following one of your videos. The Black Triangle knife seems super cool and fills a need.
“Or, the gym.” 🤣🤘🏼
Another good video full great information and equipment options. Good to see you back 👍🏾 Thank you for doing a great job 👏🏾

You're vidoes always have great info. Keep up the good work man.
I always wondered if that was a custom Tenicor Malus Sol, I have the same holster and love it! Keep the vids coming Jon.
The NPE tools/knives brings up an interesting topic about the legal aspects of using them, and having to explain why you knowingly snuck it in there.
Luckily you're there to explain yourself

"Too much biological insulation peeling over my gun"

He went to take over the family business and didn't have time for the kydex
Perfect timing with the lights. He says he carries the larger ones bc the smaller ones die sooner... then the small light on table started to blink
i just use a 500 lumen Macrostream USB rechargeable.
lmao

savage but true.
Thoughts on your weapon light having momentary option or constant on only? Also, have you used the surefire rechargeable cr123 batteries?
I cut the sweat guards off all my holsters. Not a fan of how it digs into me when the gun's unholstered.

I really like the Trex Arms Nova belt for EDC. They’re super ridged.
Dude guncraft was the shit. One of his light bearing holsters i have, is still running strong. It’d be rad if he still was open

Thyrm switchbacks

Is a red dot equiped ccw for passive night vision use too extra or a valid consideration to make?
It's a valid use.
If the rds is night vision compatible yeah it’s a befit, but shouldn’t be a selling point for rds on a ccw.
@@governmentcalamari9785 all red dots are night vision compatible.
