Fury I Soldiers (Otherwise)

April 1945, the Allied forces fight in the heart of Nazi Germany. Sergeant Don "Wardaddy" Collier commands a Sherman M4A3E8 nicknamed "Fury" of the 2nd US Armoured Division. Its crew is composed of seasoned men: gunner Boyd "Bible" Swan, pilot Corporal Trini "Gordo" Garcia, loader-mechanic Grady "Coon-Ass" Travis and co-pilot/gunner Red.
After losing the latter in a battle along with the rest of the platoon, a new recruit, Norman Ellison, young and inexperienced, was then assigned to the crew as the new co-pilot. Wardaddy, although skeptical, accepted him into the group along with the other members.
This film is simply one of my favorites for its realism and originality.

Le sergent Don « Wardaddy » Collier commande un M4A3E8 Sherman surnommé « Fury » ( Fureur ) de la 2e division blindée américaine. Son équipage est composé d'hommes aguerris : le tireur Boyd « Bible » Swan, le pilote Corporal Trini « Gordo » Garcia, le chargeur-mécanicien Grady « Coon-Ass » Travis et le copilote-mitrailleur Red.
Après avoir perdu ce dernier durant un affrontement ainsi que le reste du peloton, une nouvelle recrue Norman Ellison, jeune et inexpérimenté, est alors affectée à l'équipage comme nouveau copilote. Wardaddy bien que sceptique, l'accepte parmi le groupe de même que les autres membres.
Ce film est tout simplement un de mes préférés pour son réalisme et son originalité.
