WOW, this scene is intense! It's my favorite from the 8th season! I love seeing two powerful women go head to head like that. You don't get to see that very often! Well done!
Your are right. I keep replaying this scene where madame Hassan realized the game President Taylor was playing and was really offended..! I wish I could get the full season
Agreed! President Taylor surprised me big time with the threat to attack. Her character never showed power like this up until this point. Great acting by both!
I agree. She played the role of Allison Taylor so well. Even though you’d condemn her part in the conspiracy, she made you relate to her character, understand her struggle and feel her emotions. Only a great actress can pull that off.
@@niemoikein4330 yes! My heart broke for her in the s8 finale, when she realized she sacrificed everything for her job and threw it all away in the span of a couple of hours when she decided to ignore her advisor and listen to logan :/
What remains still unspoken, Taylor had been associated with Logan, who has NO scruples. Hahaha This was basically the end result, Taylor acting as Logan would have. Hahahaha
taylor sacrificed too much of herself, for this peace treaty and she realised it too late. she can cloak herself in peace all she wants, but the truth is she was blinded by the legacy she was building for herself she wanted it soo bad
She sacrificed her entire soul, her marriage and lost her children. She sold out every belief she ever had. Handing herself into the Attorney General must have been a huge relief in the end.
It's funny how 24/7 we the United States and the United States government constantly and angrily fuss, complain, gripe, and whine about other countries' "illegal" behavior, their "terrorism," and their "dangerous" and "terrorist" actions, behavior, and tasks but we do all of these things we're always bitching about and we do the most immoral, illegal, dangerous, terrorist, horrible, and/or repugnant things imaginable and we will stop at nothing to fulfill our purposes and/or agendas. It's not only funny, it's also ironic because on this video the U.S. president is doing all of these things by threatening a person and that person's race and ethnicity is stereotyped 24/7 for those very things. Just saying.
I love that US gov agencies had the audacity to get mad at the creators bec 24 was giving them a bad rep overseas. As if the way political officials were portrayed and behaved is that off from reality.
@@terryknight5869 I was agreeing with you and adding on to your comment... I recommend you work on your reading comprehension skills instead of getting angry over comments you don't understand.
Neither is anything like the historic first female US President should be. She (regardless of party/political affiliation) should be a role model for decades to come for future generations of young girls/women. And would it be too much to ask for the first First Gentleman to, I dunno, actually live up to his name?
I absolutely love this scene, probably one of the best in the entire 24 series. Thanks for posting!!

President Taylor officially becomes a villain in this scene
Rewatching all seasons from start to finish and this is definitely one of the best scenes in the entire show. Amazing!

@@ironmanix2835 Too bad it was for all the wrong reasons.
@@JohnSmith-zw8vp definitely. Who was your favorite Pres on 24?
@@ironmanix2835 I know it’s not aimed at me, but I’ll answer anyway. Hands down President David Palmer.
@@terrybaker8156 Good one I think David Palmer set the bar for sure. What a great show!
Cherry Jones absolutely nailed her interpretation of President Taylor.
Taylor 's thinking "I can't believe I just did that!"
Brilliant Actress.

24 was the serie with biggest balls in history, mainly because they said what anybody else said.

This just goes to show the ugliness of politicians, no matter how genuine they seem on the outside.
Power is more than knowledge, it's power..
President taylor=In one hour you will stand beside me and you will sign
Thats right! She really surprised me with this scene, and it was good!
Nuclear blackmail isn't very ladylike ya know.

Intense. I assume when President Taylor said “the full force....” she was alluding to nuclear weapons?
That does sound like more force than no nuclear weapons. 🤔
