I remember when i was playing on one popular russian DarkRP server and the poor mod was trying to find a proper reason to ban me by reading around 40 pages of rules for TEN minutes yet still i was unbanned after a while for a "wrong reasons in the ticket"😂
The actual problem is when: the rules are exploited to find any reason at all to ban people, when there are rules that are outright redundant (either because they're too similar to separate or because the admins can just set scripted limits but choose not to), or when they fucking just straight up list a crash exploit in the rules- though, for dissimilar reasons. They literally could have just said 'Causing crashes either by repeated negligence or malicious intent is a permanently-bannable offense.' They dug their own grave, there. And, with the sheer number of darkRP servers, you'd be a dumbass to play on that kind of server to begin with for any reason other than lacking experience with Gmod, or, because you're the type of person who wants that heavily-moderated experience. I've seen it, where someone just kinda gets sick of a particular quirk of DarkRP and finds a server that nullifies it, for it's benefit or no. I'm going out of my way to say this because I imagine there are server owners out there that literally just like the game that way and happen to know a lot of people who also do, who get shit for it because someone sees the rules as a reason to be a little dingus. I never play on these types of servers, but generally, don't make somebody's day worse just for your own selfish interest. ...but if you're doing it, at least record it and post it on RUclips.

If the staff don't want people to 'self-supply' or only use 2 keypads they can just edit the scripts to fit their rules. That way they would't have to write 2 books worth of rules to begin with. And no one would be able to break them either.
Most gmod admins don't want to be bothered to put in any sort of effort into actually managing servers. So they go the easy route, which making rules saying you can't do stuff instead of trying to find a creative solution to the problem instead.
I used to play Garrys mod alot, but the server loading times, random moderators that don't care about their job, or community members that get away with harassment because technically it doesn't break the rules, I can't bring myself to reopen it. The fact you spent as much time as you do, I respect u sir for being able remain sane.

I broke the rdm record on this server. People where so impressed that only one person reported me. Got to love explosions. Becoming mayor is a really easy way to break the server without getting banned. And at the Mecca's you can spawn infinite props as part of your "rp".
I love watching this dude just be a menace for no reason at all. It genuinely is hilarious and as someone who is too nice to *not* say thank you to a waitress, this eases my soul that so badly wants to do some tomfoolery, a bit of mischief, a small amount of trolling perhaps.

If I remember 6 years ago. Their was an addon that when installed, you are able to have any player model. It would be funny if you trolled as an invisible player model
I love how you can break nearly every rule without consequence but as soon as you “fail rp” which is basically an excuse for “you arent rping how I want you to” then you get banned.
The best thing about Wiremod is that since it's fundamentally essental to RP servers (at least back when I played them) and almost none of the mods/admins for servers know how to actually use it, so you could get up to all sorts of mischief. I would use it to build a device that set the colour values of my playermodel to zero, meaning I was invisible, follow people into their houses and spawn shit, rob their printers or shoot them every minute or so. Half the banned tools like turrets and ropes had wiremod variants that weren't restricted for most servers, so you could still make indestructable killer robots. Apologies for being partially responsible for server rules now reading like Tolstoy.
crazy how the "crashing/lagging the server" part of the rules gives you a guide on how to crash/lag the server, why the fuck would they tell you how to "shipment bomb"
judging by the autoban when he actually tried to do it, they seem to have a script protecting against it and rule is there more so people can't complain about the autoban
