    Geoff actually hits Bb0 and B0 subharmonic in tiktok waydown cover and in enemy geoff hits an A0 growl dont say it is uncountable it is clearly countable A0 growl

    • @smashmonster6929
      @smashmonster6929 Год назад

      I personally count slided notes unless it’s like a really low chest note then I debate wether it’s countable or not (such as Geoff’s E1 chest in Cheerleader. I always say it’s semi countable) so yes Geoff’s A0 growl is countable. At least I’d say it is

  • @johndeeregreen4592
    @johndeeregreen4592 Год назад +5

    That spoken note from Elliot was definitely chest-fry. Still, a C1 without extended techniques is beyond impressive. Also, just to note, Geoff has an A0 growl in VoicePlay's cover of "Enemy".

    •  Год назад +3

      Perhaps yes Or not, Because the grade is very low, hardly anyone keeps it clean

    • @johndeeregreen4592
      @johndeeregreen4592 Год назад

      @, regardless, once you get below B1 (even something most basses cannot do), it's super impressive, and this is coming from someone with an E1 in full chest, C#1 in chest-fry, and Eb0 in subharmonics. All three of these guys are next level from the total package they bring to music.

      2:25 not an F#1, for one it would sound really out of place being a full step down from the 1 in G#, maybe it could sound good but Geoff doesn’t do out there things just to be out there. but also we rarely get F#1 chests in Geoff’s pieces and covers with voiceplay.

  • @anymous1485

    Couple things:
    1): Was Tim's F1 at 4:32 really a chest note? Far as I know he only uses chest-fry and growl to go below G1/F#1, and it sounded a little fry-ish to me.
    2): I love how the labels for growl/chest/sub change for Tim and Geoff and Elliott's chest register keeps going down, down, down.

    •  Год назад +3

      in this specific presentation He managed to hit in the chest! Now we don't know if it's already part of the registry Or just if it was a really good day.

    • @anymous1485
      @anymous1485 Год назад +1

      @ again, given his low-note-technique history I'm not convinced unless Tim or another Home Free member confirms that it was chest, especially as the notes from B1 down sounded chest fryish as well. Not really a big deal, but the discussion here piqued my curiosity

    • @BassManMatteo
      @BassManMatteo Год назад

      This particular F1 was not chest. He switched to a solid chest fry at the end. However, there is another clip where he hits a much more convincing F1 chest.
