This is an excellent talk. Glad to see you gentlemen in the Numismatic Podcast space. As you said, the Red Book is key in any coin collector's arsenal of information. The data and the stories are sound. My only critique on the book is the item pricing. I understand that these prices are two years old as soon as the book is printed. But, especially with intrinsic metal value fluctuation, it might be useful to list that these prices are based off of a silver value of x.

We will definitely address this issue in a future conversation. Even if ew published the book monthly the prices would be out of date. That's why we encourage users to access reat-time pricing data at grysheet.com. The Red Book pricing, starting with the 2026 Edition, are in synch with our CPG (Collector's Price Guide) values. The was the best way we could think of to address this issue. Also, to your question about spot pricing at time of publication, this figure is on the copyright page of the book, as well as in the header of each denomination category.

Blue Book prices are wholesale, based somewhat on Greysheet levels, and Red Book pricing is retail (based on CPG). www.greysheet.com/cdn-collector-price-guidance
