Exactly! They're much more fun than the classic flap I find and much more my style. I think it's important to go 'against the trends sometimes and acknowledge your preferences. Also, no way I'd pay RRP for a classic flap haha.
Love it when a 36 mins video feels like a 8 mins video haha. One of the best curated collection I've seen on RUclips. Each of the bags is a beauty and also an intentional purchase instead of mindless purchases. Even though I've seen all the bags in other videos, I love to see and hear you talking about each of them! If you have to let go some bags, I'd suggest the fur boy since you have 3 of them and the YSL sunset could easily replace its purpose.

Even though we have differing taste in handbags (I prefer much smaller bags), I enjoy listening to you talk about luxury handbags. You’re not annoying like a lot of luxury handbag youtubers are these days.
Lovely collection. I would definitely consider selling any bag that you haven’t used more than 3-5 times (especially if you had it prior to the pandemic), unless you want to use it as artwork in your home. That’s me though, I don’t see the point of pretty bags gathering dust on my shelf. I’d rather take the hit on the resale and use that money for something I will use on the regular. However, I have a few designer bags, and a few contemporary bags, and I like to see them all used regularly. I like to see where my money is 🤣.
@@Handbagholic omg dont do it! It’s such a great color. I have 2 Chanel 19s in this color. I just can’t bring myself to sell the large because I live it and can’t find another color that even compares to get instead as I dont want a dark one since I have so many black bags.

Thanks Eva! The Capucines is a great bag, but the flap can be frustrating if you’re using it all the time. I like YSl bags for everyday as I wear my more expensive ones on special occasions. Let me know which you go for!
Great video! I have been very cutthroat in my decluttering , down to 13 bags. I would sell the reverse metis and the speedy giant (I don’t know why I find the two prints on one bag hard to style). The Chanel Deuville would also go (don’t like heavy bags), the tweed 19 and the two boys (only keep the pearl one). The Alexander McQueen clutch is beautiful but again not very functional, and one of the Cassandras. The sunset is beautiful, but too heavy for me personally. Ur Antigona mini is gorgeous, been resisting duplicating it in my collection, such a functional bag! Even fits a novel. I sometimes put sticky tape on the opening of the D rings so the strap doesn’t slip out. And that Cahier! It’s gorgeous! Such a statement piece. Reminds me of the Louis Vuitton petite malle but more distinctive and rare. Beautiful collection ❤️
Awesome collection. I’m in the opposite-sold a ton this year. I was able to add that caramel 19 when they did it again in 21k. LOVE it 😍 I think I’m down to 6. A couple from chanel, ysl and LV. Very content. Saving for last dream ones (hermes) which I will most likely get preloved.

I really love the pearl boy bag - Love the gray boy too almost bought that one too but right before the pandemic I found a seasonal caviar light gray the size and look of a med classic with bright gold hardware, a chain long enough for crossbody plus a hand carry chain. I just bought the med boy in the same caramel color as your 19 (I have the small black 19) I live in the US in a state with four seasons so I really wanted caviar for a caramel bag so I could wear it all year. Many on you tube say the boy s out - I disagree and my SA’s do too - it just went up again $600.00 dollars! You have a gorgeous collection - always look forward to your videos!

Great video, been dying to see your whole collection, you have some absolute gems. Really grateful for the pros and cons of each bag. I'd say sell the ones you haven't used at least 5 times! There's a Neonoe bag with my name on it being gifted for my birthday. I almost chose a Speedy 30 or an Alma PM but my son said they're not as great and steered me towards the Neonoe! Your review of the Neonoe really helped me make my decision. I've chosen out of 3 - the Monogram Empreinte Leather in black or navy/red or the Bicolour Monogram Empreinte Leather in black/beige colourway. My dad bought me a Noe back in the 80s in Monogram Canvas that I actually used to carry to school - imagine! LV has always been my favourite designer for bags but I love your Chanels x

Speedy #2 is so beautiful and unusual, she’s a definite keeper and good for overnight stays. The Keepall 45 is the best size but, for me, it would only be used as a weekender when I’m going from my car straight to my room so she’d be too expensive a purchase unless I travelled 3-4 times a year by car. The Prada door knocker bag is definitely a statement piece and I like the colour better than black. Nice collection.

Yes Rach, it's a really ridiculous fastening, it would be much better if it was just a simple clipper style. I guess putting a different chain / strap on that is a clipper could solve the problem.

Do you not find the opening on the LV Odeon too narrow/small? I love the look of it and the size and functionality but I feel like that tiny opening with 2 big zippers and it being so deep would drive me nuts!

Beautiful collection! I am in the process of saving for my first Channel bag. Is the classic flap worth it? Thinking of buying vintage. Or should I go for something more like the business infinity? I just can’t decide. The YSL small lou lou is also on my wish list.
Did you end up buying the CC classic flap? My answer would he no, not worth it, but everyone is different. I sold most of mine - lamb and patent jumbos, lamb chevron medium, velvet medium, and caviar maxi - and kept only a caviar medium because I feel obligated to have one in my collection. I got rid of the jumbos because I thought that my Birkin 30 made them superfluous, and that’s actually true. If I want a large luxury daytime bag for an occasion, I will grab the Birkin rather than the jumbo, but I like the look of the jumbo over the medium, so I might buy one again. Are they worth it, though? No, they are overpriced, and the materials and quality don’t match the cost. I’ll only buy a new patent or lamb jumbo if I can find one pre-loved from a reputable consignment like Fashionphile or Yoogi’s for a good price. They are not worth buying new at their current MSRP.

Thinking of purchasing the YSL Niki bag. What are your thoughts on YSL as a brand? Do you think it’s a classic? Worried I’m going to purchase something that’s going to be out of style in a few years but can’t allow myself to spend Chanel/Dior money and I’m not a LV fan.
I'm going to do a video on this soon I think but I really like YSL. They don't hold their value well so I'd say try pre-loved, or be prepaed to take a hit if you decide to sell it. But if you love the bag, who cares. I just got a new one (another video coming soon!) and I absolutly love it

Beautiful collection! As I’m trying to grow my collection, I’m struggling with choosing gold vs silver hardware. How do you choose?! I currently carry a black and brown Goyard tote so thankfully I didn’t have to choose, and my new (for Winter) YSL puffer is black on black so I got out of the decision there, too! 😬 My E-ring is platinum and during the day I’m drawn to silver jewelry, I’m a cool/neutral so I wouldn’t say gold vs silver looks better on me but I do know that at night (which is when I’m likely to use a clutch or small crossbody, one of the things I’m shopping for now) I almost always wear gold jewelry. I’m too matchy matchy for my own good, I know, but I couldn’t stand it if the big monogram hardware on my bag didn’t match my earrings-bracelet etc. Advice please!? 🙏🏼
I’m bias but always gold. Gold hardware has a better resale value, meaning people just desire gold hardware on bags more. So for that reason (and I prefer it) I’d go gold! It sounds like it would be better for your jewellery pieces too

Yes Rach, it's a really ridiculous fastening, it would be much better if it was just a simple clipper style. I guess putting a different chain / strap on that is a clipper could solve the problem.

I never use my LV SpeedyB. I regret buying it and won’t be buying another one. But one of my favorites is the Pochette Métis, it is so comfortable and easy to use. Give it a chance!

Do you not find the opening on the LV Odeon too narrow/small? I love the look of it and the size and functionality but I feel like that tiny opening with 2 big zippers and it being so deep would drive me nuts!

Beautiful collection! I am in the process of saving for my first Channel bag. Is the classic flap worth it? Thinking of buying vintage. Or should I go for something more like the business infinity? I just can’t decide. The YSL small lou lou is also on my wish list.
Did you end up buying the CC classic flap? My answer would he no, not worth it, but everyone is different. I sold most of mine - lamb and patent jumbos, lamb chevron medium, velvet medium, and caviar maxi - and kept only a caviar medium because I feel obligated to have one in my collection. I got rid of the jumbos because I thought that my Birkin 30 made them superfluous, and that’s actually true. If I want a large luxury daytime bag for an occasion, I will grab the Birkin rather than the jumbo, but I like the look of the jumbo over the medium, so I might buy one again. Are they worth it, though? No, they are overpriced, and the materials and quality don’t match the cost. I’ll only buy a new patent or lamb jumbo if I can find one pre-loved from a reputable consignment like Fashionphile or Yoogi’s for a good price. They are not worth buying new at their current MSRP.

I'm going to do a video on this soon I think but I really like YSL. They don't hold their value well so I'd say try pre-loved, or be prepaed to take a hit if you decide to sell it. But if you love the bag, who cares. I just got a new one (another video coming soon!) and I absolutly love it

Beautiful collection! As I’m trying to grow my collection, I’m struggling with choosing gold vs silver hardware. How do you choose?! I currently carry a black and brown Goyard tote so thankfully I didn’t have to choose, and my new (for Winter) YSL puffer is black on black so I got out of the decision there, too! 😬 My E-ring is platinum and during the day I’m drawn to silver jewelry, I’m a cool/neutral so I wouldn’t say gold vs silver looks better on me but I do know that at night (which is when I’m likely to use a clutch or small crossbody, one of the things I’m shopping for now) I almost always wear gold jewelry. I’m too matchy matchy for my own good, I know, but I couldn’t stand it if the big monogram hardware on my bag didn’t match my earrings-bracelet etc. Advice please!? 🙏🏼
I’m bias but always gold. Gold hardware has a better resale value, meaning people just desire gold hardware on bags more. So for that reason (and I prefer it) I’d go gold! It sounds like it would be better for your jewellery pieces too
