Welcome to Formula DRIFT, the Official home of Formula Drift on RUclips. Judged on execution and style, rather than who finishes the course in the fastest time, Drifting is where Action Sports meet Motorsports, and is often compared to the freestyle nature of skateboarding and motocross.

DeNofa deserved this! I’m glad he won here, he was the best all night!
s14zen for sure the angles he was hitting were insane i was there and it was so exciting to watch him
Denofa always has gnarly angle (like that backwards entry in qualifying) and he tends to have crazy proximity. He has awesome style
Greg yea he had one i got on camera when odi climbed his but before the decel turn he was literally backwards it was sick was so cool to see in person
Without a doubt the most exciting to watch. I just started following this season. I'm glad denofa finally got a W. Hes sick in that RTR setup
Aasbo so damn humble, cheers brotha
Rider Made uh, he’s lucky he didn’t get blamed for the contact with piotrr. He brakes before inside clipping point 1 just like kazuya who aasbo beat for doing the same thing
He sux
Jebrew Music a man of culture I see
aasbo is a cheater. one thing he is a brake checker. plus he is a veteran judges favor him
Thanks for putting this up !
You guys should pay for better internet for the tracks you guys use so we get a smooth stream!! Didn't get to see Dai chase James.
Thank you for the upload!!!
Awesome driving- esp. chasing- matching angle door to door is sick! CD was on rails- earned the trophy. Ü
Fantastic race! DeNofa, Belarus remember you))))
Numbers don't tell how good is Piotr. He has some moments where is faaaar better than James, but for been that much tryhard pays off in the bad way
That's kinda why we love him though isn't it? He's always pushing really hard, sometimes its just over the line. No matter what it's fun to watch.
this is why Chelsea denofa has 1 win this year and aasbo has a championship. Consistency is more important than pure skill. The best drivers are consistently putting out 80% runs instead of going for the 110% run every time
Personally (and I like Chelsea) but he got lucky by getting through that first battle with Odi. And that tire is fucking ridiculous with the amount of smoke it creates
Aasbo should not of went through.. he caused the contact an put Taguchi off line on that first inner clip. They blame taguchi for braking but aasbo braked in the exact same spot. Was bull call
I agree. If it had been denofa hitting someone in the same fashion, he would be at fault. Especially if he hit Aasbo or dare I say, Chris Forsberg!! These judges are extremely biased. Almost feels like they judge the whole season to have certain drivers in "contention" for the championship at irwindale. I'm not saying the drivers they're biased towards are bad drivers, I just really feel like everyone deserves a chance and it never feels that way.
Decellzoneboiz
@@bendover-69247 i think we all understand decel zones but the chase driver is suppose to mimick the lead. Everyone was left foot braking in that area to extend around the front clip, everyone except Denofa. Aasbo was just going too hard in that area but taguchis left foot braking was the blame. It is what it is I guess.
@Brandon Deel And @Ross Dimond
Your completely wrong on that. That battle was 100% Taguchi's fault.
Taguchi was completely off line and far to inside on OZ3. Which was due to him transitioning way to early from OZ2.
Being off line Taguchi ended up having to Foot brake AND Hand brake trying to force the car to extent past the inner clip but still came up Short.
Aasbo being right on his door at that point when Taguchi went shallow and lost all that speed literally had no where to go. And ended up making slight contact with Taguchi. Though the battle it was only the rear bumper of Taguchi's car that came off.
So the contact with Taguchi and Aasbo is similar to the contact with Gushi and Denofa. The contact didn't determine the victor since it didn't "Damage" any car and both cars finished the runs on line after that point without issues.
The reason Aasbo won was because of Taguchi's big mistake in the lead and not so much the contact. If Taguchi didn't make that mistake in the lead he most likely would have won.
Hope this explains that call for you both.
That wasn't luck he owned Texas
Ayyy
I think we all owe Diego Santos a thanks for wrecking his sc in Vegas, leading to Jarod coining the term "Yard Sale"
They don't say here. Is outside zone 3 a decel zone? Forsberg yanked the e-brake hard. Really surprised they found Tuerck at fault.
OZ3 or OZ4? oz4 is a decel zone
No top32 video this time?
Nope, FD still dropping the ball 10 years in
@@z33tanner who remembers jeff sanders edits? FD even payed him to edit for a while but maybe not anymore
@@dalton-at-work i remember HA!
@@dalton-at-work i make them still, i just don't put my name on them anymore. i record the stream remotely though and the top 32 stream crashed so much i decided not to cut a commercial free edit
long overdue
Who else was there
I wish i was
I was in the area going back home
Lemme get some on board cams 👌
There's no way in hell Dean Kearny lost that race are you out of your minds?!
Odi simply out-drove him. Was smoother, closer, hit his marks better and though I'll admit it was very close and I love both cars, Dean simply was too sloppy. Odi put on a great show.
I thought riverside was 951
Are reverse entries not disqualification?
No they are looked at with positively
@@ogTryhard21 how? Doesn't that make it an unchasable run?
@@dumpsterjedi9323 technically not, because with the right fineness and car setup would allow any of these drivers to mimick the ample of the lead if he performs a backward entry, and even then they initiate right into a sweeping turn so they can just wait until the lead looses a little of that angle and then apply pressure.
@@ogTryhard21 if you maintain your momentum, all the angle you can handle is allowed
If it wasn’t for bad luck fields wouldn’t have any luck
Great song btw
He either wrecks or wins no inbetween lol
Bruh... 53:45 the gopro fell of the car and went under the tire, and the judges didn't even see that!
Gopro was still der after the crash mate.. it was the contact that made the car jump like that
Aasbo slowed down way too much there, he knew what he was doing wjen he got on the brakes
dislike judges beacause of forsberg "thing"
Ofcourse asbo get the win over piotr. He is aasbo. Jugdes favorit
First up, learn to type. Also, piotr was placed at fault for the crash so of course aasbo would get the win. Also piotr raid beat aasbo at the very next round so favoritism isnt a valid arguement.
That tire was clearly unfair to much smoke
It's called making over 300hp more then dean and he can throw way more angle into turn 2. Chelsea is an animal and was plain faster then everyone else.
I’m new which one
@@squanchysquanch7525 so is the driver "an animal"? or is it the 300hp. make up your mind
@@dalton-at-work yeah and denofa doesn't make 300hp more than Odi. He might be down 100hp on Chelsea at max. Chelsea is definitely an animal tho!!

WTF is wrong with the announcer
rude. It's harder than it looks. He's quirky, but then everyone is.
