This is heart breaking. Both you and G-Man are my main two rugby RUclips content creators. I am one of the people that discovered Two Cents rugby through the G-Man. I feel both have developed these great little communities over the internet and I love the interactions. Thank you for sharing.
The great sadness in hearing this news is a little tempered by thinking about what he achieved and how people responded to him as set out in these many kind messages. Two Cents for laid back insight, Squidge for pinpoint analysis (and great humour) and G Man for sheer infectious passion. As someone said, it's been about internet communities, and we just lost one of our great leaders. Very best wishes to his friends and family.
I watched some of his live streams. I asked him which NZ super rugby team was his fav. He said the Blues instantaneouly. Became even more of a fan. He was a passionate lively dude. R.I.P G Man
Blessings to Gman he was so passionate about Rugby and what a lovely guy I watched the 2019 Rugby World Cup with Gman while here in NZ.I was just wondering where he was during this 2023 World Cup so I went looking for him and ended up here. Thank you for sharing even though I'm a year late. I am sure he is watching his favourite team South Africa in spirit I love that guy so gonna miss him. Peace and Love from the Awa O Whanganui✌✌✌❤❤❤
I loved watching his enthusiasm. He just loved rugby no matter who was playing. He had a great admiration for Ireland too it seemed which I appreciated. G-MAN took the time once to respond to admittedly my only comment on one of his videos, he was the very first comment I had ever made on RUclips and he responded... Well I felt amazed and humbled and starstruck, like I'd been responded to by the most famous celebrity! He made my whole year!! .. Thankyou G-MAN!
The first G- Man video I saw it was recommended by RUclips when Ireland trounced South Africa in The Aviva four or five years ago, his enthusiasm was infectious, although he was very cranky that day. RIP Gareth Mason.
What a lovely tribute to our pal G-Man, well done mate. It's a terribly sad time and we will miss Gareth. What a lovely guy, so generous, kind, passionate and hugely vulnerable and brave. Gareth just got it!
I was really upset at his passing as I had only recently reached out to him as I could see his struggles ripping him up. I think your video does him proud. Keep up your great work. Its times like this summer tours I sorely miss him energy and humour.
I only just found out about losing the great G-Man Gareth Mason. How very sad. He would've loved to see his beloved Boks winning over Wales today. Keep walking tall in heaven G-Man. Love and respect from Australia.
I am shocked, I loved his world cup final stream, how happy he was, I felt his happiness. May he rest in peace and prayers to his friends and family in these sad times!
Im actually in a state of shock here. I found Gareth when he had like a hundred subscribers back in 2017. Our first interaction was the Autumn international when Ireland beat SA by like 40 points. His desire to get better at bringing us rugby content through his gregarious personality was infectious. He was so pumped and so excitable talking the sport we all love. His content did become quite heavy in recent years and after having a father who struggled for the best part of a decade with mental health (he is better now) I could see just how bad he was. It was tough to watch. Rest In peace Gman.
Thanks for sharing this bro. Gareth was from my home city in PE. He came to a few of our content creator community development workshops. What a G. Shoutouts to you for your condolences
I didn’t know and was shocked to find our we lost G Man. Thanks 2 cents for doing a tribute video. G Man was inspirational and the world is a lesser place without him. RIP G Man!
Hey Steve, so sad to here of the passing of Gareth. He was such a cool dude and I loved to watch his channel, especially when it was either AB'S vs Boks or the NZ vs RSA Super rugby games. My heart goes out to his family in this awful time. Your message was spit on Steve & could see how gutted you are mate. Kia kaha mate
I was watching RUclips yesterday and suddenly thought about G-man, and how I haven't seen his videos in quite a while. Did some searching and found out about his death. It was heartbreaking. The man was larger than life, so much passion for this sport we love. I'm gonna miss him for sure. RIP Gareth Mason.
Fecks sake guys. I've just seen this. Am in shock... just in shock. I know when he released some videos over a year ago or so explaining that he was not in a great place and I reached out to him, for what thats worth, and offered any support I could give but here we are. He was brilliant. Knew far more about rugby than I ever will, just an Irish rugby blow in who came from a very non rugby part of my country, but he was fascinating. Truly missed. RIP.
I'm really gutted. We emailed each other a few times. I feel bad he was in such a rough place he couldn't reach out. I feel anxious a lot and it's not like I can just snap out of it. There are things you can do. Will miss him. 🇺🇸🇿🇦🏉
Just heard the sad news today, GMan was the first rugby youtuber I followed and really opened up a world of understanding of the game, the world and life. Absolute and total legend of a man. Walking Tall indeed.
I used to watch G-Man all the time, always gave a thorough unbiased opinion of games, a really likable guy. I also used to watch his live feeds of games when he'd have a few beers watching the game. I wondered why I was seeing less and less of him, I'm so glad he lived to see SA win the World Cup he was crying with happiness over that. I would never have guessed he had depressed he seemed to have a zest for life, tragic. RIP.
Really missing him man! 😔 He was such a passionate bloke on camera, but even more off camera... And I'll miss those Whatsapp's with him. Awesome touch with the 'stay safe and never give up'! Hoping his legacy will continue. Cheers man.
As good as his rugby stuff was, it was really his open and honest discussion regarding his life and stories of his struggles that were on a different level. He was honest about both when he did well and when he tripped and fell (metaphorically speaking). People often only show their wins, but seeing when it doesn't go well is also very important. Keep standing tall!
I remember coming across G-man when he had less than 1000 subscribers. I really enjoyed his positivity. I did not expect to see this news today. Watching him is what got your channel recommended in my recommended a looong time ago. Having suffered from depressive episodes myself, I found his content (and yours) to be a really good distraction with a nice community surrounding it. I shall be toasting my tea to him tonight when I get home.
I knew he was going through a rough time but I had hoped he would pull through and come out the other side. Sorry for your loss. Wise words stay safe and never give up.
Rest in Peace G Man. He brought a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the world. 2019 RWC he was on top of his game. I was watching that video yesterday. My thoughts are with his friends and family, especially his father.
I found your channel through G-Mans channel, and i'm finding out from your channel that he has passed. MY thoughts are with those close to him right now. The light of rugby has gotten that little bit darker without him.
Oh dear. Like everyone else I'm shocked. He seemed a lovely person and a true Rugby fan. Very knowledgeable guy. My prayers go out to his family. So sad.
Awh man Im gutted. So sad. I watched G-man every week. Loved his 6 nations analysis and as you say his unique passion and style. Mate I feel like Covid and Everything has messed with peoples heads and I've personally experienced my loved ones go through tough times mentally recently. Folks, If you're feeling down, anxious, worried, upset or confused, Please talk to someone, anyone. We all get down. Its Ok not to be Ok. RIP G man.
Thanks for this lovely tribute -- I was gutted when I heard the news. There was lots of sad and weird news this weekend in the rugby community in addition to G-Man's passing, like the tragic passing of Free Jack Terrell Peita's parents in Panguru, NZ, the report of an off-field accident where 9 Dallas Jackal players were injured, some pretty seriously, in the collapse of a 7-foot high walkway, and the default by Worcester Warriors because they couldn't field enough props for the game (I thought those kinds of cancellations were pretty much over after 2-years of pandemic disruptions). Fortunately, as Squidge would say, there was some rugby played by some people, and the levels of sportsmanship displayed by men and women around the globe reminds us of the best qualities of humanity. RIP G-man.
This is very sad news. I enjoyed watching his vids. Very knowledgeable rugby guy and will be sorely missed. He came across as such a nice guy. RIP Gareth..
Sorry to hear this and thank you for letting us know. Always enjoyed Gareths openness and love of rugby - a true character and hugely successful fellow - his channel is a lens for how other people see Gareth and enjoy him, such a shame... sorry for Gareth, family and friends.
This really breaks my heart, since end of 2018 I started watching his videos and every time when I watched the boks play, I always put his live stream on my phone so that we could watch the game together, it's gonna be so hard now when I watch the boks and I won't be hearing his lovely voice on his live stream and won't be seeing his unforgettable reactions, truly we have lost a true legend and Rugby treasure, may he rest well cause I know he'll be watching the boks with us, Always, God please take care of our Gareth❤❤❤❤
Well said man, you were frank and honest and not making it about you. He was a good lad and would have been proud of you giving him that tribute. RIP from a fan in Ireland.
Thanks, Gareth. You helped me a lot with your energy, enthusiasm, always positive attitude, with my handicapped grandson. I will be forever grateful. Keep on Walking Tall, G-Man. RIP. May the Lord comfort his family during this time
Devastating news! Walk tall, G-man. Hamba kakuhle, madoda. EDIT: You are right. The 2019 final livestream with G-man that you linked to is the perfect way to remember him. _This_ was what he brought to us, and we'll miss him.
Can't believe it, was literally only thinking why he wasn't popping up during the 6nations coverage the other day. RIP GMAN. Unbelievable I'm only seeing this now.
My rugby you tube viewing began with the 1014 and G-man. Then it developed into you and Squidge, so without Gareth I wouldn't be here (on this channel), I didn't always agree with his perspective on everything but he certainly made me consider things in a different light with his passion. Depression has touched my family and you're right, it is a bastard. Last year a 19 year old young man, with seemingly everything to live for, took his own life. Those of us who knew him are still reeling from it and his mum is broken into pieces. If anyone reading this is feeling not quite right or you notice a mate is quiet or just a bit off , talk to someone, please.
I am really shocked to hear such unfortunate news. I so much enjoyed watching Gareth's vid posts showcasing his extrordinary enthusiasm and insight, and Gareth's sad passing has very much saddened me, as I am sure it has so many others rugby pundits and followers. Great clip.
@@abrahamtomahawk I must have watched it about 20 times at least, he was loving it
@@TwoCentsRugby first time I'd ever seen a watch along based in the pub. Brave choice🤣
@@TwoCentsRugby I actually know about you and your channel through G-Man. I’m really gonna miss him. Thank you for this video ❤️
RIP G-MAN.
His mum's death hit him bad and he never really recovered. My heart goes out to his family who've had a terrible year.😓

Yes man he was big on community and loved bringing fans together from all parts of the world. Top bloke
His love of rugby was genuine and honest. Fierce Springbok supporter but the first to share praise to other teams and players.
RIP Gman
Unbelievable news! Such a huge loss for the community!!
Rest in love G-Man!!
Thoroughly agree.
"Do not cry because he's gone, be happy because he was here. LEGENDS NEVER DIE!"
Sad news indeed. He was the guy that got me watching Two Cents....etc.
He was passionate and lived for rugby.

I wish we win the RWC in 2023 again, for you Gareth. For you! ❤
