Lawd am going to miss everything about this man, his honesty, his voice, his wisdom, his advice, his sense of humor, his passion and energy but most of all his music.
One of the best interviews I have seen all carnival season 2017 and with good ideas to generate and promote better content and raise our carnival to a level of quality. Ding Dong loved the moment when you stirred trouble with Goofy :)
ITS AAAHHHH RANKIIIIN TIIIIIIIING!!!! This is ah mad chuuuune! Blaxx came hard with a really unique CHUNE. It has aspects of calypso and earlier soca we heard in the early 2000s. Blaxx has contributed a lot to the art of Soca over the years. He wants to uplift women and the people of Trinidad. He wants to create a STANDARD otherwise known as "BENCHMARK" for Soca. While his performance wasn't as flashy as his competitors, let's not overlook Blaxx. We must appreciate the wisdom and incredibly uplifting music he has contributed over the years. HE WANTS TO UPLIFT OUR CULTURE! He's an artist who cares about our social standing rather than an artist who only cares about money off of some daggerin CHUNE. We hope next year he comes with more wisdom, vibes and a MEAN PERFORMANCE! ITS A RAAAAANKIIIN TIIIIIIIING!!!!!! CHUUUUUUUUUUUNE!!!!
Sad to say but the kind of soca coming out of barbados now compared to the home of soca trinidad is alot more better....I hope alot of artist tuned in and listened to blaxx
Trinidadian's aren't organized enough to do that. It's always a hussle and who can make the most money. Japan has a way more organized structure when it comes to the Steel Pan. Trinidad still hasn't done that.
black on fire ah like tgat, but guess what bro, that Jah Jah song should of get pull 3×...and ah hope d I them learn something from blacks. let artists make good tune, you are the media so make them perfect the shit...from Los Angeles California

Nice all-around interview. Candidly... I have not been "following" Blaxx, but I am now a supporter after seeing this installment of the Madder Drive.
Clappers 96.1. Probably hands down one of the most intellectual interviews done on the madder drive. Great talking points by the benchmark!!!
