when Haruka was blushing when Tachibana called him after saving her, that whole scene was to show he was a "Tsundere", aka act tough on the outside but deep down just a shy and kind person.
what made it obvious was the line he said: "I didn't save you cause I want to or anything", that's a famous tsundere quote.

The manga is pretty fun to read. It's like the dark tournament arc the whole time. Just schools brawling with each other the whole time. One of my favorite main character designs, too.

I've described this character as a rescue pitbull from a fighting ring. Deep down, he wants to be a sweetheart, but all he's ever known is violence, rejection, and dominance games. It's going to take him a while to understand acceptance.
