@@mrimagine3193 Plus, in the comics it is shown that while Doomfist was in jail, the leaders that replaced him as the head of Talon wanted for the organization to be profit-driven, which neither Doomfist nor Reaper did agree. Doomfist is an extremist with strong "survival of the fittest" ideals, and believes that the world can only advance through hardship and conflict.
Also, "Doomfist" actually reffers to the cyborg arm, and artifact that has been worn previously by two different individuals in the canon.

The title of Doomfist goes to whoever owns the fist, the first one was actually a good guy but the next two (including the current) were/are terrorists. Akande (3rd Doomfist, the one from this cinematic) was mentored by the 2nd one but later killed him to gain power in Talon.

Doomfist is 1 of the leaders of Talon, alongside Moira Reaper Maximillion and others unnamed. Akande (Doomfist)'s family owned a cybernetic limbs company and he was learning martial arts since a child, then decides he needed an upgrade after he lost his arm in the omnic crisis, he became a leader of Talon after killing his mentor the previous doomfist (the scurge of numbani) theres a lot of lore for Doomfist but thats a small summary
That fight between Doomfist, Genji, Winston and Tracer was pre-jail. Which you saw newspaper clippings from at the start of the episode when Doomfist was punching himself out of jail.
I would recommend reacting to Sigma's origin story. It's very interesting and clears some stuff about Talon.

Doomfist is one of the high ranking leaders of Talon, Reaper takes order's from him.
Doomfist is actually from a long line of revolutionist/terrorists who pass down the gauntlet, and each successor upgrades it until its bigger and bigger.
Doomfist's philosophy is to propel war and violence so that humanity can grow stronger from the outcome. Thjis is his reason for promoting the 2nd Omnic Crisis
Not really, the line isnt just terrorists and such, as the first one was "The Savior" who i almost believe was somewhat of a ghandi figure, who sought revolution for numbani (most.likely against ow's version of britain lets be honest here lol) and wasnt bad, its just the next 2 who are bad and both from talon. I do view that Terry Crews should voice the Scourge Doomfist, as his attitude in old spice commercial fits the scourges design, and i view that the savior should be a new tank and literally calll him Savior, and have ving rhames voice him. Boom new tank, tank doomfist, and a new cool dynamic. Also momma hong needs to be a new talon tank and make her the crime boss of linang
Not to worry, The Tracer part is answered in her origin story. When he rips off the backpack Winston built for her, she loses her tether to our space time and starts flickering out. So you were right saying she glitches.
The first cinematic, the little kid talks excitedly about the battle of Winston vs Doomfist. Thats the fight you witnessed there, where winston went "primal punch" on Doomfist and defeated him, like 9-10 years ago before Overwatch fell. The jail cell is "current time" as Winston does the recall event, he breaks out of Jail and gets picked up by his buddies in Talon. Reaper, Sombra, Widowmaker, Moira, Doomfist and Sigma are all in Talon.
Remember in the first Overwatch Cinematic Trailer, the kid said that Winston defeated Doomfist? Yeah he was talking about the battle in this animation. The battle was in the past, Doomfist breaking out is in the present. In the cinematic trailer, Reaper and Widowmaker was trying to retrieve back the gauntlet for Doomfist.
Guys please watch the archives events full gameplay cinematics and cutscenes. These will give you more backstory. The events were timed and sadly you can no longer play them, at least until if they decide to bring it back next year. Watch Retribution, Uprising and Storm Rising. Storm rising leads up to the battle in this doom fist animation and will explain further. You can watch in release order but I would recommend watching chronologically starting with Retribution and ending with Storm Rising. With the exception of Uprising, try to find full cinematic and cutscenes and not just intro cinematic. Especially Storm Rising as it has a bunch of cutscenes that is relevant to the story.

Guys you should react to the origin stories in order, Doomfist's one was the sixth o seventh I think, start with Tracer or Soldier 76, then Ana, Sombra, Orisa, and don't really remember the exact order after those

It's a personal opinion, but Ana's is pretty good as it really shows the character posture AND explains A LOT about original Overwatch. If You only wanna se anime style winston and Genji fighting, then yeah, it's kinda basic, but lore is important in every single character

Doomfist was responsible for the destruction in numbani. He destroyed all the modules in the train station at the beginning of the map
Pretty sure this event jailed doomfist, and when he breaks out he steals the fist ( the original numbani map used to have doomfists fist at the end but now it’s different and has a ton of broken OR-15 (Orissa) bots at the start showing how many he killed)
Doomfist is sort of like a title for whoever owns the gauntlet. There are posters in game that show all 3 Doomfists. The Savior, the Scourge, and the Successor are the nicknames given to the 3. Current Doomfist is the Successor.
There are 3 events that appeared in the overwatch game related to the story, the name of the events, in the order in which they appeared in the game
1- uprising
2 - retribution or (blackwatch)
3 - storm rising
yeah but the cutscenes are kinda short, either let them react to all the cutscenes at once or watch the whole gameplay of archives
This video is him breaking out of maximum security prison after Winston put him in. He’s remembering the battle that took place in Asia after the events in the Storm Rising Archive.
(FYI Sombra is a hard counter to Doomfist-he can’t do anything without his abilities, he loses his mobility, his damage, and his disengage options and his survivability when he’s hacked.)
Doomfist and several other characters are the main reason why I main sombra to just shut them down, also seeing the light from their eyes disappear as they get hacked and then die is the most satisfying feeling ever... that and one clipping zen😌

Doomfist is the leader of the Criminal group Talon. If you notice his arm kept have energy arcs running through it and he'd perform one of his in game abilities. They were on cool down and he was calm because he knows the cool down timer. He was just waiting so he can use the enhanced rocket punch. Doomfist follows the Might makes Right philosophy. He believes the strong should control the weak, and that he's Strong. He actually took the gauntlet from another. There's 3 different Doomfists with 1 of them even being a hero if I remember right. His entire existence as a playable and fleshed out character was made purely because of the fanbase. Blizzard was bombarded with questions and hopes of playing him. The Overwatch Devs decided to make the character. Before us all that was made of him was the gauntlet and small story about him from the first Cinematic trailer with the brothers. It was also believe for awhile that Terry Crews was gonna voice him and the idea was received well by both fans and Crews himself. Sadly it was not to be.

There is plenty of characters who doesn't have any lore in videos, but there's comics and a couple short stories, all of it is worth checking out.
Tracer is like a time ghost; she can't stay fixed in time without the chronal accelerator Winston built for her.

So some background; Doomfist is one of the leaders of Talon, which is the same organization Reaper is the co-leader of. This thing was him remembering his defeat and then he got thrown in jail, and then he just beat his concrete cell wall down with his bare hands. As for his motivation he’s essentially a warmonger because his belief is that conflict is needed for humans to evolve as a species so he instigates and supports wars globally.
Tip: if the enemy team has a doomfist then have a dps go sombra. Doom relies on his cooldowns and if he doesn't have any then he useless.

During the time this trailer came out, Doomfist was put in jail by Winston in the aftermath of that fight, and his gauntlet was put on display in the first overwatch trailer.
Then in the game map Numbani, the payload was ORIGINALLY carrying Doomfists gauntlet to be carried to the Numbani museum for the Doomfist exhibit.
Then in preperation of the new character, they released a fake news interview with Efi, a robotics prodigy, who worked on the OR 15 defense bots. But then Doomfist broke out, reclaimed his gauntlet and defeats the OR15s (hence the damage in the airport, so thats when Efi built Orisa specifically to counter Doomfist.
then a few months after Orisa, Doomfist was revealed
its afterwards, for a while on numbani on the payload doomfist's gauntlet was in a container, then the container was broken and the gauntlet was missing and ther was a orisa like unit pushed into the wall hunting towards him and if you pay attention the background of tbe origin story is in numbani
I can agree with doom’s quote “Only through conflict do we evolve” because conflict will always end and that end step with any conflict begins a new path for knowledge about each other and more of an understanding between ourselves. The result for all conflict eventually becomes peace, without that peace we never truly evolve.

If you remember the first Overwatch cinematic, where the brothers are at the Overwatch exhibit, they were looking at Doomfist's gauntlet, so the combat portions are prior to him being in prison, and his escape...back into Talon!
Some more information: Doomfist is part of talon (basically opposite of overwatch, kinda similar to blackwatch) and when he tips tracer's chronal-accelerator she is lost in the fabric if time again (she has this problem cuz of the ship she was the pilot for, the est failed and the rest is history)

Dudes. He’s one of the highest ranking leaders of the Talon Organization. The big ass arm he has is a gauntlet he earned from killing the previous Doomfist in hand to hand combat, but his actual right arm is a prosthetic made to resemble the real thing, but it’s far stronger than the original. Now all the Gauntlet does is amply the striking power of whoever is using it so everything you see Doomfist doing, that’s all fighting techniques he learned during his time as a competitive martial artist.

Doomfist I a leader of Talon, and yes this is him remembering. Also this is the fight the kid talked about when they were looking at the gauntlet in the museum.
Basically doomfist is the leader of talon who is the enemy of OW. He was battling winston, tracer, and genji. He knocked genji out and ripped tracers translocator of her chest which caused her to get lost in time for awhile. Then he is defeated by winston which is what the kid was talking about in the first animation. He is sent to jail and looses his aforementioned "DoomFist". He escapes and returns to talon. And in the first animation with the 2 kids. Reaper and widow are there to retrieve dooms gauntlet for him as he is basically powerless without it.
Dommfist is the 3rd Doomfist. The first one was a hero, and the second one was a Criminal. The third one (this) is like the "director" of Talon

Doomfist is more or less the Big Bad. He's definitely NOT with Overwatch. He's actually the leader of Talon - the terrorist organization that Reaper, Widowmaker, Sombra and Moira are working for.

There are three different groups where the heroes of the game belong to. There is talon, overwatch, and the in between, from what we know of talon consists of : sombra , widowmaker, reaper, doomfist ,and moira. Team overwatch consists of : all the characters in the zero hour short + some other characters such as lucio and sojurn. While some characters have been part of team overwatch such as torbjorn and soldier 76 we dont exactly know which side they are on exactly, the same goes for almost the rest of the heroes that we know of. I personally am wondering which team bastion and wrecking ball will go to since bastion is a robot that has Vietnam flashbacks commonly, although in the comics he was taken in by torbjorn to be safe from the public which wanted him gunned down. Torbjorn would at the time of zero hour be older than in the comics judging how old rein looked compared to that of the last couple seconds of his animated short “honor and glory”, so bastion would be older and more developed and if not having less consistency of the flashbacks might at least figure a way around shooting everything. Also wrecking ball who at the time of writing this now realize that gmineo hasnt actually seen his backstory. In conclusion watch wrecking balls backstory its my favorite one mostly since hes a little hamster and is so darn cute🐹. Edit: I like this game too much to not dig for lore
you left out Sigma out of Talon (despite fact they are just using him), Soldier 76 is Morrison and he is very much on the overwatch side but he acts he doesnt belong to them

The fighting sequence was them defeating doomfist the first time. The jailbreak was later on in the timeline. Doomfist is also the leader of Talon, which is a villainous group in the OW universe. He’s a bad mofo and he takes nothing from no one

The fight itself was in the past when Overwatch was still official. Winston beat him after being enraged by Doomfist as you saw, then when he's punching in his cell it's close to current day if not earlier between several cinematics.
Doomfist is Talon high council. He is almost a defacto leader but the high council is full of other member with other agendas. He was even targeted upon his jail break & return by another Council member who thought he'd be a threat to their specific plans.
He is an extremist who thinks the only way humans evolve & get better is through conflict. He said as much during the trailer. He all about survival of the fittest & most of his plans revolve around keeping mankind on their toes constantly fighting & evolving.
If you look at his wall their are other Easter eggs to other cinematics.
Assassin in London: Widowmaker's "Alive" cinematic.
Overwatch's Return: Most likely is "Zero Hour". But not 100%
The last one is the Doomfist Exhibit: Which would be the first cinematic with the kids, so that happened after Doomfist's escape.
Doomfist is actually the 3rd person to hold the title. As the Mechanical Arm he uses molds to its user. 1st the Savior, 2nd the Scourge, then this Doomfist: the successor.
Actually I'm pretty sure "Overwatch's return" refers to the cinematic trailer and this origin story is still a decent amount in the past (the prison break) lastly the 2nd Doomfist's name was "the scourge"

Tracer’s addition in missions such as the time in the museum(launch trailer cinematic), you see her draw Widowmaker and Reaper’s fire so Winston can get an opening. Tracer is most of the time a distraction cause she is physically very weak.

If you guys recall the “infiltration” animated short, reaper,sombra, Widowmaker, they all are a part of a terrorist organization talon, well, doomfist is the leader of talon

Edit: please read this guys, I'm trying to help you to don't get confuse again with who is a hero or a villian in the lore 🙁 (specially doomfist, he is the "leader" of the villian team).
In the lore, there are 2 teams, overwatch and talon.
The overwatch and ex-overwatch agents/soldiers are: Ana, soldier 76, tracer, genji, Winston, mercy, mei (she doesn't count but her job was a ow division so... yeah) mcree, echo (she was created by mina liao before her death), torbjorn, Reinhardt, Brigitte (she is torbs daughter and just joined in zero hour, she spend her time with rein)
And talon agents are: widow maker (overwatch important agent ex-wife because she killed him) sombra (joined because of her own business) doomfist, baptiste (he was part of talon when he was young, now he is not but he has his talon skin in the game :v) sigma (talon is controlling him) and 2 ex-overwatch agents that were part of the blackwatch division with genji and mcree... reaper and moira.
D.va and Lucio aren't related until ow2 (at least Lucio, I don't know about d.va), Zenyatta is genjis master, ashe has her past with mcree, symetra has her past with Lucio (Lucio father was part of sym company and created lucios sound technology but the company took control of lucios hometown and that's why they have their "I hate you" voice lines interactions in the game), zarya is hunting sombra, wrecking ball was with Winston in the horizon lunar colony and scape with him but landed at junkrat and roadhog hometown (junkertown. And Winston doesn't know that he is there), bastion was on his forest but torb took him to avoid someone to kill him because of being the last bastion and the only one with no desire of killing people.
If you read this, now you know who are the good and bad guys and who is related to who because of X reason :D
And wade if you read this, doom is not hunting ow ex-agents, he is trying to "doom" the world, the one that is hunting the ex-agents is reaper because of the reasons that make him become reaper
If you guys saw origin story, you'd see why it was such a big deal for Doomfist to rip out her chronal accelerator. I hope you guys start watching the rest in order!

Talon sort of has a lot of leaders, each with their own personal goals and views on how Talon should operate. Doomfist is probably the biggest and most influential one, that we know of for now, and is basically in charge. Reaper, Widowmaker, Sombra, Moira, and Sigma all work for him.
The origin stories in order tracer, soldier 76, ana, sombra, Orisa, doomfist, moira, Brigitte, Ashe, Hammond, baptiste, sigma and echo
So the hard thing is that a lot of doom’s lore is told in the comics. Which I get is hard to make a reaction video to

The funny thing is that Tracer is one of Doomfist's biggest counter. I destroy him in the game with Tracer. He's always been a bad guy. The episode that Widow Maker and Reaper go to the museum to get his mechanical fist back already hints that he is a bad guy. I don't know if you guys seen that one yet. It's awesome.
So basically this is him in jail punching the wall to break out giving us a memory, and the battle of Winston, genji, and tracer vs doomfist took place before he was in jail (p.s Winston beat doomfist and doomfist is not with overwatch he's with the bad guys)
I cried when my main Tracer got taken out.
