We use the Truma (bluetooth) level control. It attaches to the bottom of the cylindet by its magnet and transmits to the Truma Inet app and / or the Truma Gas level app the gas level both as a weight in kg and percentage of gas left. It worked with our last caravan which used Truma for the hot water and heating and the current Coachman Lusso caravan which has the Alde heating and hot water system.
One advantage is you know when the cylinder is about to empty so you're ready tp switch to a new spare cylinder and saves wasting gas by renewing a single cylinder when there's still a little bit of gas left.

I like the hot water check instead some hot water it then condenses where the gas it is itself.
Truma seems the best one and most expensive.
It is worth mentioning that, although it may not apply in this case, the Dometic is only suitable for cylinders with a diameter of less than 350mm.

These silly magnet strips are utterly useless. For a start you’ve got to find the level?
Why isn’t there a strip that’s as long as the bottle ?

I have the Dometic gas checker and it has been useless so far, it thinks my full calor lite bottle is empty.
Hmm not good, it seemed a bit more inaccurate than the truma at times but could mostly get it to work. 👍

Why does this demonstrator use the expression "to be fair ",what has being fair got to do with it? The reading is the reading, fairness doesn't enter into what the reading is. It is a good gadget.

To be fair & to be honest have become phases commonly used in everyday language. Another one is ‘it is what it is’........All of which can be quite annoying, but it no reflection on the individuals saying these things.
