it was actually super cool that you were demoing WHAT to do in the event of seeing some snow on screen and had a crash as a result! not only is that real, but it just shows that you are dedicated to teaching in the best way possible! i love that you were explaining what to do, and even showed what can happen when youre quickly turning back when nearing the edge of reception! great video and really well-taught
I've had these goggles for a while now and they are the only ones out off heaps I've tried that work with glasses and are crystal clear. The other great thing with them is you can remove the silicone sun cover and still see the screen clearly and see out the sides and below and eliminate the clostaphobic feeling some get when using goggles. But best of all is I remove the screen and pop in cell phone (upto 6 inch size) and this enables the use of DJI Mavic drones or other drones that only use or connect to phones. I now have great cheap FPV Goggles on my Mavic Pro with light heatset that has all the advantages of Go4 display and data. Better than the DJI goggles.
ha ha Funny I have been wearing mine for a year now.. Wish I could have introduced you to them long time ago. I take off the extra part so i can look out and see what is in front of me or the transmitter and just look up to see the FPV.. Glad you found them. Happy Flying
Spot on review Steve. I prefer them to my fatsharks as well. As far as range, the included antennas are get me by's and should be swapped out asap for more range then los flying. The 5" 16/9 or 4/3 screen cant be beat in terms of color brilliance and brightness. Like most users I removed the face mask part. It's like watching a color tv dangling in front of your face and opens up your fov to see out of the corner of your eyes. Unlike FS they would probably pass for LOS goggles, neat. For $169 US they cant be beat. Just make sure you buy V2 as V1 had some issues that the latest iteration corrected.Lastly, made my day seeing you do fpv, I'm relatively new to your channel so was a treat.
Seriously Steve you scared the living crap out of me when you crashed, LOL! I did not expect you to thought you would land and then Blam. I think it was the noise that got me. Very funny and I like the googles I have the same problem as you with glasses so I've only used googles once in my Daughters house with my son in law and it was a trip. Great job you showcased them very nicely. I'm buying a pair of these the price is killer, simply too good to pass on.
Thanks Steve I wear glasses too so this is intriguing...would love seeing more FPV on the channel now that spring has arrived, the tiny whoops can stay in the house for rainy days and the 5 inch quads return! Just flew some FPV yesterday.
I noticed you left the bottom part on.. Take it off and you can see all around and look up slightly and you can see the fpv. I need my glasses for distance so they are also perfect for me. Nice informative video thanks for sharing it. So you can say it is great for near and far sited people. Happy Flying
U forgot to show that they flip up while on your head. So u can go from FPV to LOS w/ one hand. Important point. Good video, thank's for the info, I was considering these!
Ok, finally goggles that don't fog up and work with glasses wearers. Trouble is what quads with with them? 3 of my force 1 bugz don't. My spark won't. I want a gps and gimbaled camerae good to fly with these,. So now to that I have taranis x9 radio, what quads can I buy from you to do fog to my fxp Vipers?
Steve - Great video. I'm also farsighted and wear glasses to correct my vision. My question is after placing the headset on while wearing glasses, is the screen far enough away so that the image and drone telemetry data is legible??? I have a pair of the Yuneec Skyview FPV goggles that allow the operator to wear glasses, though when worn, the screen is too close and data illegible.
Hi Marc, for my eyeglass prescription it worked fine. Now I did have to push my glasses slightly up on my nose because since I am farsighted, the top of my glasses are just clear glass and the prescription starts below the top, so I would push my glasses slightly up on my nose so that my eyes were looking through part of the prescription to bring everything into focus.
Are you flying small 1 cell battery drones? I think you need at least a 2 cell battery to power them. When it comes to FPV, batteries and chargers, eventually you will own every type of battery and connector and can charge anything because you will own many different FPV drones of all sizes. The connector for these is the XT60 which is the most common lipo battery connector in the FPV world.
I don't think the A3 is an FPV drone which is what these goggles are designed for. This means the controller would have to have a video out port or something similar for it to work.
i want to buy the sjrc f11 gps drone. but how should i storge the battery ? with other batteries can I set my imaxb6 charger to storge mode, but how is it with the sjrc f11 gps drone battery? like in winter time i storge at 3.9v but how should I do that with this battery of the sjrc f11 gps drone now, I hope you can help me , greetings from the Netherlands, Amsterdam
The F11 battery is not a battery that comes with a balance lead, therefore you can not balance the cells with an external device for storage. When you press the top of the battery it shows you by 4 LED lights how much voltage is stored. Just have it stored at 1 or 2 lights.
CAPTAIN DRONE thank you many review drones but this small thing new people in this hobby do not know , normal batterie is easy at imaxB6 but this battery you just need Good info how to storge iT 👍
Hi Captain Drone im new to the drone world. I have a SJRC F11 i want to get some fpv Goggles that will work with that do you know of any that may work. Cheers
The F11 uses a phone, so all you need is one of those cardboard Google glasses that sits in front of your eyes. I can't recall if the F11 has a VR mode, but most of these drones in that price category do & they all make use of the phone sitting in front of your eyes.
No. They came out with a V2 a few years ago and eventually FXT discontinued them. Unfortunate for us glasses wearers, because as far as I know, there is nothing else like them out there. I still have my V1 and like them.
What is a camcorder? :-) In the modern age you record video to a micro SD card, then place that in your computer to view it. A Camcorder would require an analog RCA Video out connection or something similar. I have no idea if this product has that.
LOL, I know that I'm dating myself but I have a camcorder that is small and portable enough that I could use this and I was thinking since she needed a Navy connection for those go Pros would it work with my camcorder?
I have been looking for something like this... Do you still have them? I have a similar style of AR glasses coming for use with the Mavic Mini and was looking for something inexpensive for getting into FPV. I have the Eachine EV 800... but they are super cheap and useless with my far sightedness.
buyer beware,, i have version 1 being i work on the road and fly once every 6 months or so , my viper top mirror has clouded over sitting in the case in my house and fxt wants 15 bucks for a mirror.. i used these maybe 10 times now i cannot see the top mirror is so cloudy its junk .. so in its case 70 degrees is not safe for the mirror i guess. noticed several on rc groups had this issue too
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I have no idea, it was put up clean in its case in a ac environment of my house. I contacted fxt they want money for the mirror and they weren't sure if I could get it out. It sucks I liked this product. I had to pay to upgrade very 1 now the mirror is toast, only thing it can be is the silveroxide or whatever they laminate it with. After reading rc group it's not the first one. It was in perfect condition when I put it up. So tired of wasting money in this hobby, should have just saved money to buy FS, 3rd set of junk box goggles. Dji next but wait a yr to find out the fault s. And don't listen to any reviews. Had 2 800d doa, red paws clone shuts off randomly. Head play garbage too worked 2 months. All China crap but that's all there is. So I'll stick my note 3 in my 800d case and use eachine rx works the best so far.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I could see if I cleaned it, or left it out in the heat, but being a truck driver it got used maybe 10 times then put up in case in closet. I'm single and no one else has used it. Then in there email there not sure if I can get it out. When I get home I will try to get it out and fix it myself.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 only thing I can think of is the glue they used to put it in there reacted with mirror, 3 horizontal 3/8" lines that expanded when pressed in. Narrow at edge then spread in the center joining each. I will post a pic in a couple weeks, on the road. So much for bringing it with me to fly more.
@@MrBumbles2 I only use mine now and then when I have spectators that wish to watch my video feed. I just checked mine and the mirror is very clear. I've only cleaned the mirror with a micro fiber cloth (no spray chemicals). Something has certainly reacted with your mirror. Might even be the glue holding the mirror in place (it's a mystery).
Tried them, not good. Even though my glasses fit in the area, they pressed down on my glasses into my nose - unbearable. plus they don't work for bifocals or progressive lenses (I know I'm older, but we have rights to!!:). There is a mis-alignment of focal point on the glasses and the full screen. Doesn't work - sorry to say. Guess they can't do it all!
My eyes are pretty wack, I have to wear my readers to use these. Like you said the box goggles do push down on your glasses. My quick fix was to buy some cheapo metal framed readers that have thin frames and that issue is gone now. Sorry didn't work out for you.
The glasses are your typical progressive glasses which means the upper portion is pretty much glass and as you look down the glasses bring objects into focus.
Ok makes sense. I’d say these would not work wel without your glasses then. The issue I have with box goggles is I can’t focus on them without reading glasses.

I’m so glad you explained the difference between clarity from the recording compared to what you actually see in person when wearing the goggles 👍🏽
These are the first goggles I have found that work for me with my glasses. Great product, well made. Thanks Steve

Bonjour tu parles français ?? Tu est de la région d’Ottawa je crois ? Tu a un magasin de drone
Je parle français, mais c'est terrible parce que je ne pratique pas. J'habite à Ottawa, mais je n'ai pas de magasin.
So far emax box goggles seem to work without my glasses since screen is close to my eyes. Wonder if other goggles work without glasses on
How do these compare to Fat Shark Transformers ?
If these work with my h501s and HDMI into my skycontroller1 for my bebop2 I'm game
Did it work on hubsan h501s sir Paul?
