Each time I'm looking for a gear demo I say to myself: "Let's see if Mike Hermans did a demo of that gear ! Sure he must have done something musical and creative with it !" And when I'm not looking for a gear demo I say to myself: "Ah ! Mike Hermans released a new demo ! Let's listen to the music he plays with the gear he got !" Greetings from France !
This was one heck of a demo. Loved the B’nB instrumental then into some clean tones. The pedal absolutely rocks! I really like this small platforms. They get the job done for those who are guitar and amp kind of people.
Mike Hermans never does a bad demo and his sense of improvisation and ability to render instrumental versions of various faimilar tunes is at times uncanny. I have become rather impressed by Drybell lately and will be looking at this pedal as an addition to my board. I recently picked up the Drybell V3 Vibe Machine and man that has to be the best Vibe going and for only like $319 kills other stuff costing near $500 and it has like 6 tweaking pots and secondary functions.
Sounds great, I have one on the way. I think they REALLY nailed what I like to hear from the Plexi-ish side - bite, upper mids pushing through, but still a smoothness on top. The Rangemaster side into it is killer, the B side also seems like a great boost after and also all by itself for sheen on top of a great cleanish amp. Can't wait, fantastic demo. I can tell when you REALLY like the pedals when there is more solo guitar tracking :)
Order switcher is such a great addition that's way too often overlooked. I used to run three TS9 variants because I liked clean into dirty AND dirty into clean. Finally got ahold of a 4-pole dual throw which were quite expensive and hard to find back then. Those pedals are still there, along with probably three or four other dirt pedals, but now they're spread out more! 😉 You're becoming the gold standard for pedal demos. No bargain-basement histrionics, no unsweet emotions, no throw you over the hood of the car jerky boys 'you buy this car' and subscribe to my channel shenanigans...if you could just find a way to clamp down those guitars so they wouldn't shake around so much, and get me a pedal that would remove that kid with the Australian-New Zealand (I think) accent, carny hawking guitar lessons, they'd be perfect.
I was being totally facetious about the guitars moving around... Then I just looked and they actually were this time. my bad, it always happens when I open my fat mouth before watching all the way through. I usually listen and return to the screen when something piques my ears.
Mike, the problem with your demos is I get so caught up in your playing that I forget what you are demoing! ;-) The Engine is a very nice sounding pedal.
Can I get that marshally goodness with that pedal in front of a Mesa 6L6 Clean channel? The mesa just never seems to be as saggy or relaxed in the notes it makes. Thanks
I just saw this. Totally different pedals. The bjfe is very high gain Marshall in a box. I gavv Be the older model. This has slightly less gain. 60-70ish gain and the right side has the drybell treble booster pushing it. It goes well with a high gain amp. Pushed it further into more distortion. The dynamic red can be used thru a clean or plexi channel which on my amp is pretty clean the red bjfe is a high gainer. Both great pedals. . I have have both being I’m a pedal addict. FYI the engine can be set to go either way one side into the other. I push the right side into the gain side to get more gain.
I'm too old for all those controls....Hahahahahahaha. The Geisha and the Gain Changer remain my favourite drives and the Gain Changer is doing well to hang on to its place what with that mini toggle switch an' all.
Mike I could comment on all your vids, so while Im here... I sense making these videos is laborious but... it would be great if you did a two camera shoot one looking down the neck and one looking up, then we could all nick your licks.
something fishy going on here... every guitarist youtuber and their mother are posting videos about this pedal this week. reminds me of when those revv pedals came out, my guess is they are flooding the "influencer" market with these pedals.

You have that.....touch. Warren Haynes has that touch.......I don't have that touch.....but you do and that's cool.
That’s extremely kind of you! Thanks
A very interesting and sonically surprising pedal.

I love this demo. Great job avoiding those copyright claims. Super tasty
Surprisingly good! No surprise, regarding the excellent playing.
This is a good sounding pedal!
It’s awesome
Instant subscribe! Damn I could listen to you play all day long.

Really like the demo, no matter if the pedal is good or not!!
Love how you built your little embellishments into the composition. Takes a great player to use that creative liberty effectively.
Thanks so much!
Just a freaking BADDASSS!!!!!...... The Pedal sounds GREAT TOO!
Enough said Mr. Herman. As usual, Experienced. Thanks.

Gosh Mike, listening to your reviews is a vice! Great playing as usual.
Sultans of swing riffs rule !! Love it

Sounds awesome!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Which one is better, bjfe dyna red or this pedal?
Amazing playing as usual, if you ever teach a class then shut up and take my money!
fully sick back in black.
How about this one compared to bjfe dyna red distortion?

Damn! That’s noice!
It’s a killer pedal
1.33 Haha great stuff
Going a little overboard. Haha.? Thanks!
@@popintothechemist Yeah, love it. Any chance of doing 'Another Girl Another Planet' or anything by BeBopDeluxe?

At 2.32 the guitar is obviously out of tune. Sorry...
So u should be
You’re correct! Thanks for pointing it out
@@popintothechemist No worries, you are excellent anyway! Thanks for all the effort you put in. I appreciate it.
Yeah I lost a lot of sleep over that as well.

It's a truly great pedal. Really sits ahead of the pack. Very musical.
Pretty amazing tones. String gauge? 8s?
