what sucks about apex is that it doesn’t give players a good enough progression system. imagine if we could convert our legend tokens to crafting metals, acquire rewards on kill milestones, or receive legendary cosmetics for specific legends after completing a set amount of challenges…
There is nothing to grind for. I just hit 60 on the battlepass and now it's just badge upgrades. I solo qued to diamond and ik I'm not gstting to master. So what do I play for now? They have nothing to offer at this point for me...they should have kept the rewards up to 100 instead of being lazy. A true apex experience.
Same with leveling up your gun, if you fully upgrade your gun to level 100 it would be cool to get a mythic gun skin or skins for it instead of just the badge, needs better rewards, and I would love if they vaulted some guns and added in new ones.

They need to remove mixtape and just let us pick what game mode we want to play, Battle Royale is not for casual gaming, running around for 20 minutes just to get instantly killed by the first team you run into does not help people “get good”, but the other modes like gun run, team deathmatch, and control let you practice without having to sweat. But I only like gun run, yet it’s on for 30 minutes then off for an hour….I’m not waiting around for that bruh.

It’s just so infuriating that EA (not so much Respawn, they don’t have a choice) has made it very clear that monetization is their priority. 4 milestone events back to back, often with other events going on at the same time is not subtle at all
@@xaultimateax yes but EA has drove the respawn upper management away and replaced them with people that fit their narrative which is monetization so at this point the people in charge at respawn are basically EA and the devs that actually want to bring us cool things are being told to focus on other things that will make money... in regards to osca_de_grouch as for the recent drive in monetization it makes sense because of the lower player count and overall sentiment towards the game... less people and upset people will spend less money so they need to give them more options that seem enticing.. also people as dumb as it is will come play to check out a cool new skin for their main... so it is a win win for them if it makes them money and brings in more players.. that combined with the relics in BR is IMO them trying to make it fun again... if they cut back significantly on things that make money then the game will die like gaming merchant said they are a business and selling a product but being a business means there are a lot of costs associated with continued development just paying the salaries for the staff is a huge expense.... does this excuse the behavior no but it puts it in to perspective... and i do strongly agree they need to find a better approach but for now I'm just going to keep on playing and ignoring the store like i have done since i started in season 8... i have received two free sets of heirlooms and countless legendary skins just by playing for 3500hrs so all in all the game can be enjoyed without a care in the world for the monetization practices but i want to see the community happier because it makes the game more enjoyable.

As for the current devs being held back His Wattson recently did a video about him quitting apex and he talks about that from his own personal experiences with them. He’s not the only one that has mentioned it but he talks about it in greater detail than most who just kinda mention something.. and if you actually read my whole comment you’ll see I have over 3k hours in the game and do not plan on stopping nor have I ever really cared much about the cosmetics in the shop it’s a free game and can 100% be treated as such. It seems most people have issues with the monetization seeming to be a priority but you can literally ignore everything they try to do to make money and the game is still fun to play for the most part but could def be better if more people were playing so don’t just see the same preds destroying lobbies every single day…
Ironically me and my buddies just reinstalled the game not too long ago, and we are loving it rn as a casual. We just dont care about buying skins and stuff, and are just enjoying the game for what it is rn both in pubs and ranked
Deep Rock Galactic is a prime example of great good will, even if it's not a AAA game. You can do previous season passes with the progress you had that season, barely even advertise their dlcs (which are all skins), no paying to progress faster, and reasonable dlc prices. I literally bought a dlc mainly because I wanted to support the devs, not just because the skin looked cool .
Players aren't stupid. When we feel like the devs dont care about us we leave. Older players don't leave cuz they have sunk so much time and money into the game. Maybe even built up an audience cuz of that game. New players however have no good reason to stay. Players not treated well, most content is skins, and when there is content playing feels like they put you against 100 clones of top 1 players. There is no way to improve or learn as a new player unless you're immune to frustration
What should I do though, I am an old player and I don’t wanna quit the game I favorited for years but I feel it dying and getting boring but I don’t wanna switch and don’t know what to switch to. I just want a fun exciting game
@@ToastersGhost Hey man, I had only 1.5k hours of playtime which is low compared to people playing from season 1. I left the game and its been a year since. There is no game like apex in terms of movement except old nearly dead games like titan fall ,bo3, infinite warfare. The finals comes close to it and its fun gives off the mixtape mode in apex. I tried tactical games like cs2 and valorant and they are fun in grinding the rank and frustration sometimes. If you are upto trying something new unlike apex there are many games to play. But if you want a similar apex experience The Finals is the go to, where unlike apex the ranked rewards are much better in my opinion. Since I didn’t yet try marvel rivals but its the most played games after cs2 and dota, so maybe you can give it a try.
@@ToastersGhost If you are still enjoying the game, keep playing it until you don't. The game is definitely winding down though. You will just have to make your peace with it. Try other games. You can try other games while still playing Apex when you feel the urge to. There's no real replacement for Apex in the competitive genre though. That's why I say, keep playing it if you feel like playing it.
neither are the content creators, eerying single one being contantly negative towards everything when theyre actually trying to make maps that fight against 3rd partying and making it so the abilities actually makea sdiffernce in gameplay
If EA listens to the community and give more creative freedom to Respawn the game will improve exponential. To be honest Respawn will probably get more freedom after recent feedback, and because EA will focus more on sales from the next battlefield.
EA & Respawn really are confusing, more players = more people likely to spend money, but they just want to drain the remaining playerbase until they all get fed up and leave. They added weapon mastery, why not legend mastery to get rewards & keep people invested who's only drive isnt winning games? It really is jarring
It’s a cycle. Games used to be player first until fortnite, then games tried to follow that formula, and it worked because everything was new. People are fed up now, and so i’m predicting that in the next 3-4 years there will be a shift back to devs listening to community more. Look at games like wuthering waves which came after genshin impact that follows the principal I just explained.
What’s frustrating is that EA acted like casuals wouldn’t leave. “Lets continue to slow drip content, players won’t get frustrated.” All games die, but had the “Apex plant” been watered, it would be in a better place today.
Maybe I'd be optimistic about the things said in this video if I hadn't seen already the same title and the "what if" scenarios year after year just to see that respawn nor EA are willing to do anything for the game at all
If Respawn can learn from Marvel Rivals, maybe Apex will finally have the comeback arc we all deserve. Until then, I'll be dodging sweaty Wraith mains with my default Bangalore skin!

Very well said; hopefully Respawn/EA look to Rivals' tactics, and the profitability they offer, and realize the value of copying farming player goodwill (as you aptly call it)
For me it’s matchmaking all the way. I would love lore content and free content. But the gunplay is the most fun part. I can’t do that if every fight I get in I instantly lose to some sweat. And when those sweats would say “just get good” this is the result. Those casual players who make up probably more than 80% of players, who aren’t so great make your game. So putting us against them to help their queue times only ruined it further.
All apex needs is more bots in pubs for casual players, some missions with high quality rewards like heirloom shards, and that would do wonders. Maybe make it like 100 missions starting off easy then getting progressively harder later on, with each mission giving like 15 heirloom shards each. That would keep retention while also making people want to keep playing
One of the things I said to my friend that Apex can do is every season they can let everyone grind 50 heirloom shards for the entire season of it’s some challenges three seasons of consistently playing you have a heirloom
Yep, 100% this. It’s also proven cause last time they did this in season 20 (flatline reactive), the player count spiked and remained high. Since it’s anniversary season again, you would assume they would bring it back again… but they might have just given up

apex' gameplay is fun, but people seem burnt by the gambling / high prices. I think apex needs to get rid of their collection/milestone events and convert to an overwatch/valorant storefront where players can buy new skins and knives for direct purchase. keep the apex packs in and save them for heirloom shards, keep heirloom shards for legend heirlooms, and sell universal melee weapons for prices similar to valorant, much cheaper than the $160 of collection events.
I wish they would let pubs be pubs and use the lmt modes for the gimmicky stuff. I don’t mind the buster sword stuff but being forced into it is kind of whack.
hopefully apex does this cause im getting so damn annoyed at EA for putting me with preds and masters in a casual game when i can barely get to gold 4 in ranked
I think EA is the problem here. They say apex isn’t earning enough money while they are in the top highest earned games on Steam. They should do something like break out again with those free rewards
idk man im finally kinda settling into this game i think its in a great place with solid community, a bit competetive maybe for casual gamers. maybe they should give people the chance to pick their own playlist like the classic shooters. ctf, king of the hill, tdm, gun run, maybe even lone wolves, this could bring back some casual players.
as someone who plays neither ranked nor grinds badges there is litteraly nothing to casually grind besides a pass which is so annoying. Even then, Packs are the only thing i really bother with because i want to get more heirlooms but that happens litteraly once every 2 years basically

I'm a casual and don't spend money but oh my I nearly wet my pants with excitement when I went up a battle pass level to to be given a holospray of a piece of cheese, yay! I had a 3k game for the 1st time a week ago and didn't even earn a badge. This game is a complete waste of time!
Honestly I just stopped having fun when I plateaued. I only really have time to game for an hour or two at night. And after a while there just isn’t enough time to get better at a game. I feel like I just go up and down in ELO constantly and it makes for a bad experience. But that may just be on me. I’ve gone back to single player games as I’m just tired of being stressed while gaming.
I’m a casual player I don’t enjoy it anymore because I get match with three stacks preds pub stompers meanwhile I get blueberries who leave soon as they die after looting for about 10 mins. Even if I’m lucky enough to get a win it doesn’t feel rewarding at all. First season player stopped playing seasons 13 only just came back second split this season the game has become so toxic and not to mentioned I only have one heirloom 😅
I love this split of apex it has so much to offer😊 I haven't even tried all the relic weapons like the sword and knife, and the boost kits like the rewind thing. I recently got a 4k on conduit in plat lobbies which I'm very proud of, 1k kills on her and I'm plat 1 currently so I'm hoping to get Diamond for the first time ever😮
I feel like any accomplishments should always be earned in ranked, whether that’s a 20 bomb badge or just kills in general. But the badge should show what rank you got the accomplishment in, a 20 bomb badge in diamond+ or higher will definitely be more impressive than anything below. However that being into question cheaters that will cause (even more) problems… there is just no solution
The only thing that could save Apex is new ownership, and that's unlikely to happen. With the rate of decline, I figure EA will give it the Battlefront treatment sometime next year. Meaning with the population dropping the way it is, they will cease active development but probably keep the servers running.
I think with apex the matchmaking making how it's done drove loads of casual players away. The more that left the more sweats they would run into so more casuals left. The way they get money as well drove more away. The recolor weapons and skins drove more away. Plus how the battlepass is now and then as well. I did not think the battlepass has ever been good.
Rank needs a complete rework. The RP system is the dumbest rank system in any competitive game ever. You should not have to suffer and wait 1-2 weeks each reset because all the good players need to rank back up, otherwise you end up facing 3 stack preds in plat 4 lobbies… Also they ranked distribution curve is a joke. Everyone gets free diamond as long as you play enough games, but get stuck there immediately

The gameplay in apex so good, I've been playing marvel rivals like everyone and thier mom has, but i miss the mechanics. Especially since controller feels pretty weak on rivals compared to mouse and key.
I hate the rift relics and feel they make the support meta even worse. I have seen a lot of people online who feel the same way. also this event sucks, the only weapon skin i want is the sentinel skin from the final fantasy event so this just reminds me how greedy EA is since I cant craft or buy it
I’m an average player in apex. I try to play, and get absolutely get destroyed. I enjoy the game. It sucks to lose match after match off drop. I play tdm and get game more.
Nowadays I feel like Apex was always supposed to be a cash cow. Think about it, a game that came outta nowhere, no previous showcases, nothing. And then suddenly boom! Huge success. We all know EA, when they saw that project exploding the first thought that probably came to mind was "how can we milk it dry, since it is a hit?". When was there an update or event in this game without any shiny new skins in the store being advertised? I honestly can't remember. Even on the first season you could gamble away to your heart's content to try and get the brand new wraith's kunai! I don't believe, and based on what HisWattson said on his video, that the devs are the evil people behind every scummy decision, maybe some, but the problem is and will always be the franchise killer, Electronic Arts. As long as EA keeps running this game, I can't even hope for a better future. Remember when the collection events used to give us free legendary skins for legends? Then "oops! We are giving too much! They're freeloaders!" and then it was the lgdry weapons, and now not even legendary anything we get for free. Apologies for my essay, and I'm not one those that are saying this game is already dead, but imho, and by EAs history, it's not looking very bright.

You see, when I live in Hungary, and the Frankfurt servers say : "30ms ping", then in-game its 150 with constant PL errors, and stuttering, there is not much to defend about it. And no, its not my internet you coping kid, because in every single other games I play, I have 30-60ms pings, even overseas servers are below 140 for me.
The classic Apex that was running there last week was good but the current br is a total mess, these relics should be a separate game mode because it has totally ruined the flow completely, it's a mess and they want to run this for two weeks, there's going to be no one left after this crap finally comes to a end
I play Apex casually literally since day one, i spent about 50 bucks in total between me and my gf's account and even with the controversies I still love the game.
I'm not a big multiplayer guy so apart from a few fighting games Apex is the main PVP game I play at least twice a week. I play mostly single player games so I'm not grinding Apex like most so I don't get burnt out on it. There are times when I just naturally take a break from it because I'm invested in a new single player game.
I leveled up my BP every season since season one and that's all the progression I need. I do some of the events but only ever bought a few event packs, because as cool as they look, they cost way too much imo. I earned two heirlooms by just playing and using my BP Apex coins to buy the next BP.
I havent played apex since they changed the battlepass even though it got better after a outcry if im remembering correctly that was the final nail for me and unless they do something big i prob wont ever come back. I used to always buy the battlepass each season at the very least and i have 2 mythic weapons but the way they treat their customers is anti consumer so i gave up on the game.
i believe this game could survive on evo shields and flatline eva8 meta like csgo survived on smokes and aks for 20 years, but instead they starting to make less clothes skins and 20 heilrooms this game is going to die this year, no way saving it
My lobbies the past few days have been literal bots and three-stacks. Nothing says fun quite like rolling to a 10 kill game farming actual bots (yeah, I KNOW its sniper ammo. You’ve pinged it 20 times already.) only to ultimately be rolled yourself by someone with zero business in your lobby.
Yet lose those "bots" and you literally lose 80% of your community, the people who will grow to be the new competent players with time. Show me another successful enterprise where you scare away all your potential new customers.
My problem is, we need more LEGENDS, I’m not understanding how a game called apex LEGENDS decided to slow down not give us a legends EVERY SEASON atleast 1 the seasons are like 3 months for one, 2 marvel rivals is already ahead cause they are giving us like 4 a season, I get that they have actual marvel characters nd what not to pick from but come on, we should at least be 3-4 legends ahead, Hell idgaf if I wake up nd forge is in the game we need more legends that’s literally the base of the game

I reached lvl60 on the BP and now the only reward is badge progression. Reached diamond in ranked solo queing and Ik I won't reach masters. There's just nothing to grind for.
EPG is new, the rest is changed and not really anything to write home about. New maps, actually new guns, new grenades, new systems, new legends. Without it the game is just underwhelming and not worth playing.
If apex did this I would come back I'm tired of nothing but expensive cosmetics and no content but at least if they did this I would play for the skins.
they do not make some marketing videos for the laeft players or even new players to come, the game is now a much better version of the old one!! they just need to SHOW OFF these changes.. by making some good marketing videos.
money is fine to make a priority; but when the game earns money from cosmetics the game developer will prioritise that over other aspects of the game. the free to play model has its pitfalls. if we paid money for the game, instead of cosmetics, then the incentives would align better?

I stopped playing Fortnite when Apex came out, fast-forward four or five years, and I was literally mind blown the first time I played Fortnite again. There’s an infinite amount of things to do in the game and skins are 10 or 15 bucks for cool stuff like Goku and Spider-Man Rivals is still king for now though lol

Ironically me and my buddies just reinstalled the game not too long ago, and we are loving it rn as a casual. We just dont care about buying skins and stuff, and are just enjoying the game for what it is rn both in pubs and ranked
Deep Rock Galactic is a prime example of great good will, even if it's not a AAA game. You can do previous season passes with the progress you had that season, barely even advertise their dlcs (which are all skins), no paying to progress faster, and reasonable dlc prices. I literally bought a dlc mainly because I wanted to support the devs, not just because the skin looked cool .
Game needs more badges and badge tiers, skins to grind for, better mastery, great map updates and more love from Devs.
Live service games are not forever games, after a while a new one pops up and entices players with a fresh experience

Players aren't stupid. When we feel like the devs dont care about us we leave. Older players don't leave cuz they have sunk so much time and money into the game. Maybe even built up an audience cuz of that game.
New players however have no good reason to stay. Players not treated well, most content is skins, and when there is content playing feels like they put you against 100 clones of top 1 players. There is no way to improve or learn as a new player unless you're immune to frustration
What should I do though, I am an old player and I don’t wanna quit the game I favorited for years but I feel it dying and getting boring but I don’t wanna switch and don’t know what to switch to.

@@ToastersGhost Hey man, I had only 1.5k hours of playtime which is low compared to people playing from season 1. I left the game and its been a year since. There is no game like apex in terms of movement except old nearly dead games like titan fall ,bo3, infinite warfare. The finals comes close to it and its fun gives off the mixtape mode in apex. I tried tactical games like cs2 and valorant and they are fun in grinding the rank and frustration sometimes. If you are upto trying something new unlike apex there are many games to play. But if you want a similar apex experience The Finals is the go to, where unlike apex the ranked rewards are much better in my opinion. Since I didn’t yet try marvel rivals but its the most played games after cs2 and dota, so maybe you can give it a try.

Try other games. You can try other games while still playing Apex when you feel the urge to. There's no real replacement for Apex in the competitive genre though. That's why I say, keep playing it if you feel like playing it.
I have heard how passionate the devs are about the game. The problem seem to be with management and EA . And they aren't doing well right now.

If EA listens to the community and give more creative freedom to Respawn the game will improve exponential. To be honest Respawn will probably get more freedom after recent feedback, and because EA will focus more on sales from the next battlefield.
EA & Respawn really are confusing, more players = more people likely to spend money, but they just want to drain the remaining playerbase until they all get fed up and leave. They added weapon mastery, why not legend mastery to get rewards & keep people invested who's only drive isnt winning games? It really is jarring
EA were trying to juice their numbers to get a good valuation and sell out to a bigger publisher.
It’s a cycle. Games used to be player first until fortnite, then games tried to follow that formula, and it worked because everything was new. People are fed up now, and so i’m predicting that in the next 3-4 years there will be a shift back to devs listening to community more. Look at games like wuthering waves which came after genshin impact that follows the principal I just explained.

For me it’s matchmaking all the way. I would love lore content and free content. But the gunplay is the most fun part. I can’t do that if every fight I get in I instantly lose to some sweat. And when those sweats would say “just get good” this is the result. Those casual players who make up probably more than 80% of players, who aren’t so great make your game. So putting us against them to help their queue times only ruined it further.
The powers that be focusing on the top 10%, or even the top 1% isn't just a problem in Apex.

BG3 is also a perfect example, has no in game purchases and DLCs will always be free, and yet it was the highest earning game of 2023
All apex needs is more bots in pubs for casual players, some missions with high quality rewards like heirloom shards, and that would do wonders. Maybe make it like 100 missions starting off easy then getting progressively harder later on, with each mission giving like 15 heirloom shards each. That would keep retention while also making people want to keep playing
I hope they make 4 battlepass season and 8 milestone events all at once in this next season.
Rivals will go the same way as Apex once it gets some success.

apex' gameplay is fun, but people seem burnt by the gambling / high prices. I think apex needs to get rid of their collection/milestone events and convert to an overwatch/valorant storefront where players can buy new skins and knives for direct purchase. keep the apex packs in and save them for heirloom shards, keep heirloom shards for legend heirlooms, and sell universal melee weapons for prices similar to valorant, much cheaper than the $160 of collection events.
I wish they would let pubs be pubs and use the lmt modes for the gimmicky stuff. I don’t mind the buster sword stuff but being forced into it is kind of whack.

idk man im finally kinda settling into this game i think its in a great place with solid community, a bit competetive maybe for casual gamers. maybe they should give people the chance to pick their own playlist like the classic shooters. ctf, king of the hill, tdm, gun run, maybe even lone wolves, this could bring back some casual players.

I'm a casual and don't spend money but oh my I nearly wet my pants with excitement when I went up a battle pass level to to be given a holospray of a piece of cheese, yay! I had a 3k game for the 1st time a week ago and didn't even earn a badge. This game is a complete waste of time!
Well it's either free DLCs and skins as micro transactions, or free skins with the DLCs as a micro transaction, or both if they are really greedy
Honestly I just stopped having fun when I plateaued.
I only really have time to game for an hour or two at night. And after a while there just isn’t enough time to get better at a game.
I feel like I just go up and down in ELO constantly and it makes for a bad experience. But that may just be on me.
I’ve gone back to single player games as I’m just tired of being stressed while gaming.
I’m a casual player I don’t enjoy it anymore because I get match with three stacks preds pub stompers meanwhile I get blueberries who leave soon as they die after looting for about 10 mins. Even if I’m lucky enough to get a win it doesn’t feel rewarding at all. First season player stopped playing seasons 13 only just came back second split this season the game has become so toxic and not to mentioned I only have one heirloom 😅

I love this split of apex it has so much to offer😊 I haven't even tried all the relic weapons like the sword and knife, and the boost kits like the rewind thing. I recently got a 4k on conduit in plat lobbies which I'm very proud of, 1k kills on her and I'm plat 1 currently so I'm hoping to get Diamond for the first time ever😮

I feel like any accomplishments should always be earned in ranked, whether that’s a 20 bomb badge or just kills in general. But the badge should show what rank you got the accomplishment in, a 20 bomb badge in diamond+ or higher will definitely be more impressive than anything below. However that being into question cheaters that will cause (even more) problems… there is just no solution
The only thing that could save Apex is new ownership, and that's unlikely to happen. With the rate of decline, I figure EA will give it the Battlefront treatment sometime next year. Meaning with the population dropping the way it is, they will cease active development but probably keep the servers running.

I think with apex the matchmaking making how it's done drove loads of casual players away. The more that left the more sweats they would run into so more casuals left. The way they get money as well drove more away. The recolor weapons and skins drove more away. Plus how the battlepass is now and then as well. I did not think the battlepass has ever been good.
The Buster sword is an awful thing though. They should have known better than to bring it back.

Rank needs a complete rework. The RP system is the dumbest rank system in any competitive game ever. You should not have to suffer and wait 1-2 weeks each reset because all the good players need to rank back up, otherwise you end up facing 3 stack preds in plat 4 lobbies…
Also they ranked distribution curve is a joke. Everyone gets free diamond as long as you play enough games, but get stuck there immediately
@xaultimateax yes, it makes no sense. I think in the short run, rank reset works, like when you start playing, the first season are ok. But then its again and again. And the math behind it doesnt add up. Why would you drop high rated players into naab lobbies? Its encouraging smurfing! And thats literaly what everyone is complaining about!!!?
The gameplay in apex so good, I've been playing marvel rivals like everyone and thier mom has, but i miss the mechanics. Especially since controller feels pretty weak on rivals compared to mouse and key.

Nowadays I feel like Apex was always supposed to be a cash cow. Think about it, a game that came outta nowhere, no previous showcases, nothing. And then suddenly boom! Huge success.
We all know EA, when they saw that project exploding the first thought that probably came to mind was "how can we milk it dry, since it is a hit?".
When was there an update or event in this game without any shiny new skins in the store being advertised? I honestly can't remember. Even on the first season you could gamble away to your heart's content to try and get the brand new wraith's kunai!
I don't believe, and based on what HisWattson said on his video, that the devs are the evil people behind every scummy decision, maybe some, but the problem is and will always be the franchise killer, Electronic Arts.
As long as EA keeps running this game, I can't even hope for a better future. Remember when the collection events used to give us free legendary skins for legends? Then "oops! We are giving too much! They're freeloaders!" and then it was the lgdry weapons, and now not even legendary anything we get for free.

You see, when I live in Hungary, and the Frankfurt servers say : "30ms ping", then in-game its 150 with constant PL errors, and stuttering, there is not much to defend about it.
And no, its not my internet you coping kid, because in every single other games I play, I have 30-60ms pings, even overseas servers are below 140 for me.
The classic Apex that was running there last week was good but the current br is a total mess, these relics should be a separate game mode because it has totally ruined the flow completely, it's a mess and they want to run this for two weeks, there's going to be no one left after this crap finally comes to a end
I play Apex casually literally since day one, i spent about 50 bucks in total between me and my gf's account and even with the controversies I still love the game.
I'm not a big multiplayer guy so apart from a few fighting games Apex is the main PVP game I play at least twice a week. I play mostly single player games so I'm not grinding Apex like most so I don't get burnt out on it. There are times when I just naturally take a break from it because I'm invested in a new single player game.
I leveled up my BP every season since season one and that's all the progression I need. I do some of the events but only ever bought a few event packs, because as cool as they look, they cost way too much imo. I earned two heirlooms by just playing and using my BP Apex coins to buy the next BP.
Idk when people realize that content in pubs is non existent for player like me. I play only ranked.
I havent played apex since they changed the battlepass even though it got better after a outcry if im remembering correctly that was the final nail for me and unless they do something big i prob wont ever come back. I used to always buy the battlepass each season at the very least and i have 2 mythic weapons but the way they treat their customers is anti consumer so i gave up on the game.
Anniversary season will be make or break. That's going to tell me whether to invest in the game in the future.

My lobbies the past few days have been literal bots and three-stacks. Nothing says fun quite like rolling to a 10 kill game farming actual bots (yeah, I KNOW its sniper ammo. You’ve pinged it 20 times already.) only to ultimately be rolled yourself by someone with zero business in your lobby.
Yet lose those "bots" and you literally lose 80% of your community, the people who will grow to be the new competent players with time. Show me another successful enterprise where you scare away all your potential new customers.

I reached lvl60 on the BP and now the only reward is badge progression. Reached diamond in ranked solo queing and Ik I won't reach masters. There's just nothing to grind for.
EPG is new, the rest is changed and not really anything to write home about.
New maps, actually new guns, new grenades, new systems, new legends. Without it the game is just underwhelming and not worth playing.

money is fine to make a priority; but when the game earns money from cosmetics the game developer will prioritise that over other aspects of the game.

I stopped playing Fortnite when Apex came out, fast-forward four or five years, and I was literally mind blown the first time I played Fortnite again.
There’s an infinite amount of things to do in the game and skins are 10 or 15 bucks for cool stuff like Goku and Spider-Man
