Pokémon Go is a 2016 augmented reality (AR) mobile game developed and published by Niantic in collaboration with The Pokémon Company for iOS and Android devices. A part of the Pokémon franchise, the game is the result of a collaboration between Niantic, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. It uses the mobile device GPS to locate, capture, battle, and train virtual creatures, called Pokémon, which appear as if they are in the player's real-world location. The game is free to play; it uses a freemium business model and supports in-app purchases for additional in-game items. The game launched with around 150 species of Pokémon, which had increased to around 500 by 2019.
Pokémon Go was released to mixed reviews; critics praised the concept, but criticized technical problems. It was one of the most used and profitable mobile apps in 2016, having been downloaded more than 500 million times worldwide by the end of the year. It is credited with popularizing location-based and AR technology, promoting physical activity, and helping local businesses grow due to increased foot traffic. However, it attracted controversy for contributing to accidents and creating public nuisances. Various governments expressed concerns about security, and some countries regulate its use. By early 2019, the game had over a billion global downloads, grossing over $3 billion in revenue. The game also had over 147 million monthly active users as of May 2018.
The majority of eggs are trash. Not worth paid incubators whatsoever.
Egg value changes every season. Larvesta is more valuable to most people than dex evolutions right now. It doesn't help that this season is raid heavy.
Bag space and pokemon box space is what I feel is the most worth it. Sometimes they offer that in bundles but that is rare. After that is incubators and remote raid passes. Cheapest I’ve seen for the incubators is 70 coins per, in the large bundle.
honestly, space is so important (specially when new to the game or building an alt account) that I wouldnt wait till an offer shows up. Just buy them right now.
I've only seen very few offers since the beginning. 300/350 is unplayable. Even if you are pretty cut-throat in managing the mons/items you want to aim for at least 1000/1000 just so the message that everything is full doesnt show up all the time.
It's rough being a rural player. Played ever since 2016, lived in the city until 2019, got to lvl 44 then moved to rural town. Quit for the next 3 years and finally getting back into it in 2024, now lvl 46. The hardest part is needing 180m exp to reach lvl 50 when I'm just at 84m exp. No raid groups around, have to drive 30 minutes back into the city to even play. I'm really debating on spoofing at this point, especially when I spent about $500 on the game in the last 2 months on Origin Palkia, Dialga, Primal Kyogre and Groudon, raids.
honestly just spoof its free and it doesn’t ruin the experience. I did for like a week and got some cool stuff and did raids without spending a dime
@@deadfish331 Yup, since Shadow Mewtwo is coming out I gave in and started learning how to spoof. Ain't no one got the time to drive around a whole ass city wasting gas and tryna raid 30+ shadow mewtwos. Just downloaded pgsharp to spoof for raids. I won't spoof to other countries and try to get regionals or take gyms from people but just spoof around my near by cities to do raids since it's impossible to do it around my area. It's annoying how Niantic caters to only people who lives in the city but us Rural players have to fend for ourselves.
@@deadfish331what a out now? They took out pc spoofing
I put $25 a week into pokemon go but just because i can afford it...and i only use it when there is a good event happening...some times i go 2 months and not not use the coins and when go fest or a go tour comes i end up having a lot of stockpiled coins to use....
The raid box during Sinnoh tour was fantastic... 70 raid passes plus some other items for $40 was great. I bought 2 of those and kept my passes for this month. Well worth it. I just use free passes for raids i dont really want such as now. Having bonus raid passes for kyogre, groudon, and mew is HUGE... Tabu arent valuable to me. Always check the store for sure.
rn you can get 99 raid passes for 5425 coins
@@latetooairsoft6784 where are you seeing that... I looked in thr store... Didnt see it
One of the things i find outrageous is they repriced 100 coins from £0.79 to £0.99 in the UK, which means when we buy that coin pack over here we're paying $1.25 or 25% more than Americans. Why? I don't know, they just decided to screw us over here. £0.79 is the equivalent of $1. The only thing i can think of is it was more cost effective for players to buy 100 coins over and over again rather than buy the bigger bundles and that's because it was the only coin pack that was adjusted for the currency exchange.
550 coins cost $5 and it costs £5 but $5 is worth £3.95. I actually feel like I'm getting scammed
Its the same in Denmark, 1$ = is 6,89 DDK (Danish currency)
But 100 poke coins cost 9 DDK, (1,31$) so we pay 31% more than Americans do.🫤
Same in Sweden. So I stoped spending any money at all in Logo after they nerfed the distancePasses
I never spend on egg incubators (once every few months) and remote passes i only buy the odd one or two here and there to get the pokemon on my dex. To me - the only thing worth money is item / pokemon storage. Then save your money and get a auto catcher... miles better than remote raids or hatching eggs... my accounts gone from noob to pretty decent to say the least thanks to my auto catcher.
Agreed. I've been using auto catcher for almost two weeks now and the amount of exp, dust and items I get is MUCH MORE than I used to get before.
@@AlfiansyahHendry exactly! Lets say £40 (im english) for about 24 remote raid passes... out of those 24 pokemon, youll loose about 4... 10 will suck IV wise... 1 or 2 MIGHT be shiny usually with terrible IVS... the rest will have ok - good IVS... very rarely would you ever get a hundo. Where as an auto catchers a 1 off payment and as you say dust / candies / extra shinies + hundos etc. You get your money back within a week or 2 haha
I strongly agree about the fact that PoGo isn't as expensive as other games, it's relatively fair and that's why we need to show when we are unhappy about their price increases, so it doesn't become as bad as the Tencent games, where you genuinely need to spend hundreds if not a thousand per month to be able to be competitive in PVP.
Here's my Rural Guide as a Solo Player:
-Spend your Coins on Remote Raids with which u will get Barely enough mega energy for each Pokémon as u need for the first mega evolve... After this it's free.
Also use it for the 5star Raids but don't shiny hunt or do something else expensive.
The rest of your coins should go to your Storages and if u have a extra buck on cday event tickets
Know the relative value to your game play as well for Raids. Spending a free pass on a Thursday before or after work on a T1/T3 is a good use of a pass, assuming you can take it out with whatever team you have (even if it's a team of 1 Trainer). Also note that as of this video, Ralts is in T1s... that's not a bad spend if you are looking for a good one and/or (XL) Candy since it has 1 mega out and another coming one of these days... Drampa is currently in T3s, so if you are still looking for one for the Dex entry or a better one, then that is fine. Just note that this one may not be as worth it on a green pass. There are also other high value mons in T1/3 that may pop up from time to time that can be worth a green pass if it's something you are hunting and/or need candy for.
Hate shadow raids along with elite raids. I live in a populated city I never see anyone out walking and I'm sorry but I'm not walking up to random or strangers idk or little kids that have no clue who I am. I don't have local friends only over seas. Allot of my friends moved on to other games or went back to console.
Make an effort and stop complaining. Or give up like a loser and move to a different game.
Use niantic campfire and find a local community, introduce yourself. You can do it.
Why don't you just stop playing then If you that's too much already. I live in a rural place and for events like these I always travel to the nearest big city. There are plenty WhatsApp/Facebook groups.
I have like a 500€ account but extremely picky on what I spend money on. I suggest buying Raidpasses & storage only. Some tickets are worth it too. Incubators IMO are NOT worth it, it's basically a lootbox. I also NEVER by remote passes because the main reason I play is to get outside more. I find the game a bit too pricey but thats probably a good thing so I don't buy stuff willy-nilly without thought.
I love pokemon and want to spend money on pogo but it is nothing like it was a few years ago 😂 it was like 200 coins for 100 regular pokeballs and now it’s like 600 crazy they got poké flation 😂🤦🏻♂️ it’s like they’re asking people to spoof
It's too bad I won't be able to do the Mewtwo raids. I don't have a community for that.
Dope vid Count, i spent wild money when we had unlimited remote raids, now i pick and choose when i spend money in the game
Or the best way to make purchases for the cheapest way possible is to make an apple account in Turkish region and to make purchases in the games shop in Turkish dollar your welcome no video needed
my spending is limited to go fest/tour tickets and if theres an eevee event where special evolution moves are a thing cos walking eevees and RNG totally aren't fair
I also planned ahead in february knowing chansey comm day was egg based and the tour was coming and bought the incubator ticket - still got a few incubators left
I bought the keldeo thing as well, just for the dex entry
only one I regret not buying is the extra cosmog, but I'm sure that'll be back around soon
I’m only going to be spending less time and money on this game the dev team is ruining this game
I started watching Trnr Tips vids from the start and it's kinda crazy to see all the main features were in the game 5 years ago. Yep thats when pvp arived, I took a break before covid and came back to the game now "thinking actually I wonder whats changed? I bet they've finally done something for rural players" and nope still exactly the same with no damn extra help for rural players, maybe a bit more spawns but still too few stops.
If you have gyms
Then get some alts and round around and desert you
I love F2P playstyles, I've spent alot of money on games. I don't have the discipline and too much FOMO. Keep up the good content Jin
I stopped buying coins when I was unfairly banned... Ban was lifted after my complain, but since then there is too big risk that one day I could lost all the money I "invested" into the game... So, there are better ways to waste the money XD
I wonder why my daughter gets awesome offers in the Pokémon store. Great values and lot of the time. On my account I go weeks and sometimes longer before I get an offer for any box worth buying. Her offers and my offers are always different. I’m not buying anything from the online store. I don’t trust it. They get enough information from me as it is.
I don’t normally buy tickets for in game events other than GoFest. However I do buy raid passes when I see an extremely good amount in a box. I make the choice on getting lucky eggs and star pieces so I can stack them for my estimated time play in an event…Raid Day, GoFest …. I’ve done the egg hatching deal and got crap Pokémon so Ive started hatching only with my free incubator, yup takes time to hatch the eggs… figure eventually I’ll get whatever I need in a future raid ….. I really wish there was a way to just dump those crap eggs. Any hundos I do have were caught in the wild or from a raid, still waiting for 1 from a Lucky Trade.
Informational vid 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
you can make smurfs and refer to main account to get both or more accounts premium raid passes/incubators from tasks. Plus you will have chance of trade lucky
Thanks for the usable information!
I been playing for 2 months now and is insane how much i expend, i went from 300 pokemon slots to 850 and from 300 itens to 1350, and i'm thinking right now how much i would have to expend to make my itens last a whole week without spinning pokestops (rural players suffer).
I expend around 400 bucks without travels, food and other expenses like sun screen.
I'm thinking of buying a power bank and a new battery for my phone and hoping that sansung store drop the most sick discont so i can buy the 15k combo, if anyone reading this is multimillionare and wanna support my expending let me know
im a free to play player as iam 15 and cant buy stuff as im very broke it isnt bad playing free to play i have few rare shadow shinies and stuff but i wish i could spend money my card doesnt work so been free to play for ages
level 39 btw
One thing i'm not buying in the shop is the remote passes, way too expensive and i prefer hosting raids with genie and buying the green passes instead 😎
Bag space and Pokemon storage I only get remote raid passes when desperate. So maybe $5 a month if my gyms are failing me.
I find most of their bundles useless. I think I have used a green pass for a raid maybe 3 times in four years of playing. So, it's still more cost effective for me to just by the 3 remote passes. I end up throwing away whatever else they put in the bundle with generally, 2 remote passes. :P Again, I'm in the suburbs and it's not even possible to do 1 raid each day - there's not always a raid available to do during the time of day I'm able to go out and play. But this also makes me more dependent on remote passes because then I can sneak in a raid I want during a time of day I'm not able to go.
I buy coins to use on storage and incubators once in a while a ticket or research
i spend money here and there i normally only do new raid bosses nd ill buy the global go fests tickets nd tour tickets bout all i really spend on the game i try to be more f2p lately
Idk about an in person event being worth it when you calculate travel and everything else. I wish they offered similar benefits for global events as i absolutely will not spend $1000 to travel and play a game in person. The rest of the suggestions im in agreement.
Spend smarter not more
Always enjoy and learn from videos
What if Niantic puts previously unreleased Galar 'mons in 12-km eggs? *ducks* (comment to support Count)
We need to stop blaming niantic and 2nd party Nintendo devs in general for Nintendos poor monetization practices. Mario cart tour is so bad now its sad same with feh
Can't use Google Play Credit in the Web Store
Love this info
I try not to spend money
This Lone Raider has 102 premium battle passes 😜
Free too play is what our group 7 is and we do not do 5 star shadow ! No money for this 🗑️ data leakers !😂
I'm going to say the global tour and go fest tickets are usually worth it. I am normally free to play but will spring for the tickets when I have to. I will try to save up my coins from gyms and buy boxes that are going to give me incubators through out the year and then go hard on either hatch days if its something good or during the tours since they decided to put regionals in eggs instead of 3 star raids like I used to like.
Impossible for raids since they messed up remote raids. Cant get any done its been dead since they nerfed it
Are you working for Niantic now?
never lol

SEND IT TO A VIETNAMESE LADY TO GET YOU 50K COINS FOR 40 DOLLARS
Hi
The only correct amount to spend on pomemon go is zero. Everything else is tied for last. I use to spend money on this game, but their inability to talk to the player base shows they don't deserve it.
I hope you’re still working on the Pokémon typing tier lists!!!
Nothing worse than reading peoples comments complaining about spending money on this free game. It may be a free game, but they still need to pay their staff to keep it going. Yes, they probably make more than they need to but you’re a fool to think you wouldn’t do the same thing in their positionyou don’t sit on a Goldmine you dig it up
I wish you would’ve invested your time in another vid. One of the worse topics and spending money on PoGo shouldn’t be influenced at all!!! Niantic needs to make changes before people spend money. I’m not use free coins from gyms and you’ll do fine. The tickets suck anyways.
I have the money to spend on the game so why not talk about it 💵
@@chucksenhowzen9740 i have the money too. So do many others. It’s about sticking to a cause
@@chucksenhowzen9740he's broke
Because not everyone has the same opinion as you. I personally liked the video, and it’s useful for beginners players that find themselves wanting to spend money anyway regardless of what niantic is doing or has done in the past.
Shut up broke boy
