  • Pogurak(포구락) is one of the traditional Korean court dances. It's a ball game dance, which literally means a dance performance where dancers dance and play a ball game at the same time. If a dancer makes score a goal, she wins some flowers. If she fails, however, the dancer gets stained with ink.
Very interesting~ isn't it? Let's feel the beauty of such a court dance!!! :D

It's the same music from Hwang Jini's sword dance and final dance of Jini. I remember it clearly and I hope someday, when I come to Korea, I'll hear it again. Thank you for uploading and may you continue showing the world the beauty of Korean culture. =)

The second class of Kisaengs was called Gwan-gi(관기), official Kisaengs. They belonged to each local government and were responsible for local festival and reception for ambassadors.
The other classes were just private Kisaengs not belonging to any official organization~ :D

@chanhym those colors are called oh-bang saek(五方色, five direction(north, south, west, east, center) color in east asia) but white (originaly one of five colors)is representng mourning at the same time, the white was replaced with green. as you see, salpuri dancer(oreginated from shaman dance)all dressed in white, because it has religious origin. but this dancing is fully for joy and congratulation. so they don't wear in white.

There were some classes in Kisaeng society. The first-class Kisaengs were called Seonsanggi(선상기). They were in full charge of court dances and musics in the palace. The yellow outfit is their uniform, and the five colors(Yellow, Red, Blue, Black, and White) mean King's five virtues. It's somewhat related to Chinese Wu Xing theory.
