I agree most of them are a scam. But I’ve bought 1200 Morgan’s almost all from these rolls over the course of the last year. There are a couple good sellers to buy from and I’ve learned how to get the good ones. Common dates occur because they are more common. Yes the ends are meant to attract, but they also can contain some hidden gems. This roll had more than most and I didn’t expect it. I’ve kept close attention to my costs and as long as the coins average out to about $80 per coin per roll it’s worth it for me. I wouldn’t suggest people do what I’ve done tho. Scratches have to be intentional or openly careless to get Uncle Details back on grading. Does the scratch on that cheek halfway through the roll you pointed out look like scuff/stack/rubber banded contact, or someone bored a century ago with a pocket knife? BTW, I've heard PCGS is not giving out PL's like they once did, especially on Carsons - many Carsons and early 80s San Frans are so HQ that they'd be PL's if produced from another mint. So they have to be crisp to get that PL and liquid for that DPL. IIRC, the PCGS video says bend your index over the top and see if you can see your knuckle cleanly for at least a PL judgment. There's also a rule of sticking a ruler straight up and, if I remember right, seeing if it goes up a couple inches readably.
From what I’ve read you need to be able to see a clear reflection in the fields on both sides for 3” to get PL, 6” for DMPL. I sent many in hoping for PL, DMPL and have only gotten 1 back in each. Luckily you don’t have to pay extra for it. If it has it, they’ll label it.

I’ve sent in and received back about 50 Morgan’s this year. Most came back 63-64. I think I know by now what a MS coin looks like.
..thinks he knows what a 63 and 64 look like..maybe..no 65 yet
I wouldn't be surprised if you to guys aren't in on selling the FAKE rolls on ebay. So you try and fool everyone with the horrible evaluations. I have a dozen or more ms 61s that have less marks than EVERY coin you looked at except the 3 or 4 that had been cleaned those didn't have many marks at all but were lacking that blast luster
Someone's mad ASF
I agree that your grading is a bit optimistic. NGC wouldn’t grade any of those above MS 61.
You do know these rolls are faked right?
I bought 1200 over the course of the last year. Sent many to PCGS. Haven’t gotten a fake yet. If you mean fake as in staged, then yeah, I know. You can still get great coins out of them if you know how tho
@@troymillay8691 Would you mind sharing which seller you buy from?
@@tho464 I would like to buy a roll or 2 also.
You're wasting good money on these assembled rolls.
I’ve done good so far
scam
I’ve gone over this before
