Not a word on Clary's miraculous recover from one scene to the next? Gosh, that pissed me off so much. I know the writers said on Twitter that it was a iratze (activated by whom? Simon can't use a stele), but If iratze can heal a broken spine, why did Lydia have to be sent to Idris to fix a broken arm? Why should I be concerned for any of the Shadowhunter characters now, if the iratze are that powerful? Terrible idea. Anyway, great video, as always, Jay.
It happened inside the Institute. Alec saved Lydia from Raj, and could have activated her iratze right there and then, we know it only takes a few seconds. Or he could have taken her to the infirmary, or called somebody else to do it immediately. Or, since she never lost conscience, Lydia could even have activated her own iratze. Clary had to call Simon and wait for him to arrive because she could barely move. And there's no way Lydia's injuries would have been more serious than Clary's after falling from a building.
Simon has super speed. And Lydia was attacked by a demon that none of them had experience with before. The demon was created by Valentine and dug deep holes in her chest. Sending her to Idris was to treat her, keep her safe until they found the demon, and an explanation for her lack of appearance in later episodes.
Well, if the writers's explanation works for you, great. I'm afraid I just can't suspend my disbelief to that point. I wish they had made a greater effort to establish the extent of an iratze's power. Because now, if I see any Shadowhunter broken to pieces and close to dying, I'll just expect them to activate their iratze and be completely fine in the next scene, as Clary did in this episode. It's only logical.
I'm confused .. how can he be caught up? as in how can the next episode come out in two days? Season 3 is already fully out?? Has been for a while? And it has been canceled? ^^ (Two episodes to end the show will come out in 2019 though..)

To a certain extent, having a broken neck or injured back is not 100% life threatening depending on how you fall.
