The hand movements that you see in this video are my interpretations and are not compulsory to be practiced.
If you practice in this method, you will improve tremendously in executing the movements of Bharatanatyam.
There are variations in 3rd and the 8th Tattadavus which again is helpful in developing your rhythmic skills.
This is most suitable for Intermediate and advance level students, however beginners can still practice the hand movements once you have mastered the leg movements. With practice, you would feel the comfort in execution of the adavus.
